《Between Two Worlds (Aizawa x Reader)》Chapter Sixty-One: Support

"We're here!" I heard All Might say as we pulled in to a small parking lot.
I looked out the window to see a relatively small, white, two story house.
"It's not much," said All Might as he opened my door for me, "but it's home." As I shut the car door behind me, I went to grab my things from the trunk, "I can get those for you." he said.
"No need!" I said with a smile, "But thank you. I appreciate the offer."
Once I grabbed my two bags, All Might shut the trunk and patted the car, signalling for the driver to go. As the chauffeur left, he proceeded to lead me into the house.
Once inside, I was genuinely surprised by what I saw. The place was really...humble. No flashy colors or fancy, or advanced gadgets or technology. No trinkets or over-the-top decor. Just an average looking home. Simple, bright, and comfortable. Honestly, it kinda reminded me of a stereotypical house owned by a grandmother or something, albeit with less cats and bird watching material. It was certainly different from Aizawa's apartment which was very minimalistic and dark.
"Not what you'd expected from a number one hero, I imagine?" said All Might, who had a soft smile on his face.
"I mean, I already knew that despite how much money you make, you donate a majority of your earnings to charity, so I'm not completely surprised." I said, "Still, seeing it in person is a lot to take in."
"You sure know your stuff." said All Might, with a smile.
"I'm sorry if that creeps you out." I said quietly as I looked down, "I know it's a little weird that I know a lot about everyone in this world, and no one knows anything about me."
"Not at all!" he said, "Your knowledge about the people around you actually reminds of someone I know." he said, causing me to smirk a bit, "If you wanna follow me, I'll show you to your room."
As I followed him up a short flight of stairs, I couldn't help but grin from ear to ear from what he just said.
'So I remind him of Deku, huh?' I thought, 'Hopefully I don't ramble as much as he does.'
When we reached the top, I noticed a small room next to the corner of the hallway in front of the stairs.
"This will be your temporary room while you're here." he said as he opened the door, "It's not the high life, but I hope you find it to your liking."
I walked in, and noticed a white cot with white sheets and a pillow. I placed my bags next to the cot, and sat on the bed, quickly noticing the mattress was made of memory foam.
"Oh!" I said as I softly sunk a little in the cozy mattress, "This is nice." I said as I played with my hand print on the bed like a 5 year old, watching it slowly disappear.

"Would you like for me to make you some tea while you get settled in?" asked All Might.
"Sure! That'd be lovely." I said with a smile, "Need any help or anything?" I offered, not wanting to impose in any way while staying here.
"I may be more frail than my younger years," said All Might before immediately transforming into his gigantic heroic self, "But fear not! Because even I can-"
But before he could finish, I fell over backwards off the cot from the initial shock of his booming voice and transformation that just randomly poofed into existence right in front of my eyes.
I yelped as I fell, hitting the floor with a solid thud.
"Miss Doe!" shouted All Might as he immediately came to my side, gently helping me back up while still in his muscle form, "Are you alright? I didn't intend to fighten you!"
"Yeah, I'm fine." I said, rubbing my sore back as he steadied me to my feet, "Just took me by surprise."
"My apologies for startling you." he said as he bowed his head, his voice sounding a bit crestfallen and bead of sweat dripping from his temple, "Only a few minutes in and I've already caused you injury."
"All Might, I'm fine. I swear." I said with a chuckle and a sincere smile, "Though, maybe a warning would suffice the next time you decide to switch."
"Of course!" he said, that voice echoing loud and clear throughout the small house, making my ears ring a bit.
"You should maybe save your muscle form for when you need it. I mean, you only have it for one hour." I said, trying to gently remind him. God forbid he'd use up all his quirk and not be able to transform while I was here. I couldn't imagine what I'd do in such a horrible scenario.
"Good point!" he declared loudly before he poofed back into his more skeletal physique, "There. Much be-," just then, he immediately spurted out a handful of blood. I looked in horror as I tried to hide the squeamishness on my face as he quickly covered his mouth.
'Holy shit, that was super gross.' I thought with wide eyes, as I didn't move.
"I...think I'll go make the tea now." said All Might sheepishly, as he straightened up and casuall walked out of the room and back downstairs.
'Please remember to wash your hands.' I jokingly thought as I watched him leave.
As I sat back down on the cot, I took my phone out of my pocket and turned on the messaging app.
No new messages.
'Maybe I should send him something? Let him know I made it to All Might's place safely?' I thought, trying to find an excuse to contact Aizawa.
'No...no, I shouldn't.' I mentally argued, 'He probably assumes I'm fine if he doesn't hear or receive anything. No news is good news. If I send something, he might think something's wrong.'

I fuddled with my phone for a bit, contemplating for awhile on what to do. I wanted to contact him, but the timing of it seemed inappropriate. His focus should be on his students, not me. I shouldn't distract him.
Still...
I shook my head and shoved the phone back into my pocket and fell backwards on the bed with a sigh.
'Maybe later.' I thought.
As evening approached, I was down in the living room with All Might, who was listening in on police dispatch near the kitchen counter as I sat on the couch with the news on the TV playing quietly in the background.
"You look preoccupied." I said as I watched him listening intently, "Anything bad happening out there?" I asked.
"It seems like a relatively quiet night, actually." said All Might as he stood up and headed over to the other side of the couch, "Looks like my assistance won't be needed for the evening."
"Is that how you know about what's going on?" I asked as he sat down, "By the news and a police scanner?"
"Not all the time." he answered with a shrug, "Sometimes I'll just happen to be there when it goes down. But if I'm home, I'd like to keep myself informed, just in case."
I hummed and took another look at my phone.
Still no new messages. I let out a sigh.
"Seems like you're pretty preoccupied yourself." he said, making me jump slightly as I quickly put it away, "Are you waiting for someone to call?" he asked curiously.
I blushed.
"N-no. I was just checking the time." I stuttered as I folded my knees closer to my chest as I hugged them.
'Crap,' I thought, 'Is All Might going to pry?'
He chuckled.
"You've been 'checking the time' quite a bit throughout the day, I've noticed." he mused, his tone still gentle as he spoke. I stayed silent, not knowing if talking would incriminate me further, or if my silence would. All Might paused for a moment, "...Are you wanting to talk to Aizawa?" he asked.
I squeezed my legs harder and tried to bury my red cheeks in an effort to hide my embarrassment.
"...No." I lied.
He hummed. I couldn't tell if it was from amusement or curiosity. Or both.
"Are you worried about him?" he asked patiently.
"Yeah." I answered in a murmer. Figured I might as well make it about something less personal if it would throw him off.
"Don't you already know what's about to happen, though?" he asked, "I mean, with you knowing the future and all?"
I felt my heart sink a bit.
"It's not exactly like that, but I...I don't want to get into it." I said quietly.
There was another brief pause between us as I stayed silent. I already felt like shit that I didn't warn Aizawa about the kidnapping before I left. I didn't feel like dodging the details a second time.
"Your concern is rather touching, despite knowing the outcome. You must really care for him." he said, his tone still gentle. "It's funny," he said, making me look up, "This conversation reminds me of the one I had with Aizawa when you were unconscious in the infirmary."
"How so?" I asked.
"He had the same sense of unease and anxiety when he was watching over you. When pressed about the matter, he was quick to dodge giving an answer or an opinion. He's a very private person, that one. You two are very much alike in that regard. Even so," his eyes met mine, "it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that he cares deeply for you."
I couldn't stop the smile from appearing on my face as he said that. Then I realized that I did and immediately tried to hide it by turning away.
All Might chuckled.
"Don't worry, kid. Your secret's safe with me. I'm not one to judge or ridicule. If anything, I support you two being around one another." he said.
My eyes widened as I looked back at him.
"Really?" I said with total surprise.
"Believe it or not, your presence has impacted him in a positive way. It has brought out his emotional side more, for better or for worse, but at least he's not so withdrawn. Plus, he looks more well rested these days." he said.
My smile reappeared again.
I never thought I'd get support in this way, let alone from All Might. I would've thought he'd scold me for it or worse, warn the others about it.
"It is getting rather late." he said, checking his watch, "You should probably head on up to bed."
I chuckled.
"I know you're supposed to be watching over me, but you don't need to go full-on dad mode while I'm here." I joked as I got up, making All Might laugh.
"While I am certainly old enough to be your father, I'm going to let that comment slide, young lady." he said in a mockingly stern fashion as he wagged his finger at me.
"Goodnight, All Might." I hollered as I headed on up the stairs.
"Goodnight, Miss Doe." I heard his voice echo behind me.

(Aizawa's POV)
Doe seemed rather concerned

So What If I'm Trash? Who Needs Cultivation?!
Qing Shan Long. They say he isn't human. An escaped experiment from some government facility, a reincarnation of a saint, a freakish superhuman. Whatever he was one thing was clear. Be it Music, Martial Arts, Science, whatever he does he excels. He was a whimsical man. A great man. A man who craving for knowledge and excitement knows no bounds, whose collection of books and personal library would even make Alexander the Great green with envy. He donated to all manners of charities and funded many projects for helping the poor and disabled. A self made man who single handedly founded one of the largest corporations in the world, Wen Qu Technologies, whose influences reach from vast fields of expertise. From objects of war such as the newest aircrafts, droids, and body armor; to life saving medicine and vaccines; to even the mundane such as video games and the fast food industry. A legendary example of determination and hard work. He was in his car being driven to a business meeting to disclose a deal that would help ensure the country could have access to clean energy and help reduce the pollution that has been plaguing his homeland for the past millenia when he was assassinated and woke up in a strange new world. How will Qing Shan deal with his new environment where the strong suppresses the weak? From the top of the world he suddenly finds himself free falling to rock bottom. Unable to cultivate, a weak body, and all but disowned by his family. (For those who read comics and watch cartoons, imagine him as being Tony Stark, Richard Reeds, Jimmy Neutron, etc level of 'Genius'. ) My own spin on some familar tropes. Another reincarnation into another world story. The MC will take over the body of someone with a trash body that can't cultivate and will be hated and neglected by his family. Pretty typical so far right? Except there won't be some amazing miracle to heal our MC, there isn't some magical grandpa to teach him some OP thing which only his trash body can use, there isn't a hidden op bloodline, and he is not from a super amazing assassin clan or genius doctor. He isn't the chosen one, he's just a guy trying his best to make something with a crap situation. First attempt at a wuxia type story! I like playing with common tropes, maybe adding a twist, to playing it straight as a classic. I have absolutely no idea where this is going to take me but please do give your input and I'll do my best so that everyone has a say in where our journey will go. I'll admit the only knowledge I have of chinese history and ancient society is from reading light novels translated to english and some old dramas, so if I make some social passe just take it as because this is another world, not exactly an AU where magic and stuff actually exist. I'm also not actually Chinese and will basically using google to help me with names and other such, if I make a mistake please let me know! (Even if you don't like the story or couldn't bare to get past chapter 1 please leave a comment so I can find out where to improve, thank you!)
