《Nick Wilde X Reader | A New Partner》Nightfall

It didn't matter that you were at a loss for words, you probably couldn't talk anyways.
However, while you were stuck in the moment, you noticed Nick's expression begin to change; it was switching from complacency to concern.
Oh crap, you should probably react somehow. What should you do though?
Glancing down, you saw his auburn paw that was still suspended in air; it was the one he had used to pull you in with. As he became more unsure of himself, the paw started to retract.
This would be perfect! You took this opportunity to meet the floating paw with your own. His soft pads met yours and Nick visibly relaxed. Your digits entwined and you couldn't help but smile.
Nick returned your smile with a grin of his own. The ferris wheel began to move again. Guess the last people had boarded and you had a couple minutes to enjoy together. The sunset, the long shadows of downtown, it was perfect.
Better make this count.
You scooted closer towards him. Taking the hint, Nick lifted his arm allowing you to lean into him. Your ears brushed against his face and he gently blew on them. Reddening, you squeezed closer and flattened your ears.
The ride would be over soon, but for now it wasn't. Nick was a bit taller than you, so while you sunk against him, he rested his head on yours and wrapped his arms around you. Taking a breath and closing your eyes, you could feel his rhythmic breathing that complimented his soft fluff. There were probably a couple weird looks as you made your way around the wheel, but you didn't care. In the distance, the sun slowly dipped below the horizon.
Inevitably, however, the gondola stopped. That had all happened so quickly, why did it have to end?

The doors to the passenger car opened and you had to hop out. Clanging on the metal floor and walking off to the left and down the stairs. The sky was now a similar color to what it was this morning. It seems a lot had changed since then...
Past the stairs, the two of you moved off and out of the way. Now that it was becoming dark, a couple lights here and there were turning on.
Nick was the first to ask, "What do you want to do now?"
Neither of you had said anything since the kiss. Oops.
"Uh, I'm a bit tired, but I want to see the fair at night, too."
"Sure," He glanced up towards the light post nearby as it turned on. Its ambient glow flowed onto both of you. The blueish white light worked well on Nick and his grey shirt.
"So, how about that?" he pointed to the left.
At the end of his paw sat one of those giant pendulum rides. The bright flashing lights for it contrasted the darkening sky.
"Oh that looks fun! Let's go."
On your way through the crowds, you tried to edge closer to Nick. He either didn't notice, didn't care, or enjoyed it. Any of them would work for you.
The walking also gave you some time to think about what had just happened. The kiss you both shared still lingered in your mind and you wondered what the future would hold between you two.
Glancing towards the confident fox, he had one paw in his jeans and the other one holding his phone. Being with him just made it seem like everything would be okay. Maybe you shouldn't ponder the future...
Tonight you should just have fun.

Beneath No Sky: Chronicles of the Atmospheric Sector
After bringing themselves back from the brink of annihilation, humanity's future seemed bleak. However, it's remnants, throwing aside the old order and donning a new mantle of progress aimed to rise above their ancient disputes and go forward as one. Once the Earth reached it's natural limit, and colonies around Terra and Luna had shown promising results, humanity finally decided to make the move to the stars. Believing this to be the start of a new age, they eagerly poured across the solar system and further beyond, greeting what space had to offer with hope and optimism. It was misplaced, however, for humanity's traditional quarrels soon resurfaced and engulfed a now interplanetary empire of many races. As the Earth Empire burned and an intense depression overtook the once optimistic people, some held out hope. They theorized that their problems were born of an inherent sense of home and, in order to rid humanity, now comprising of the Terrans as well as all the other known species of the galaxy, of this burden, decided to move far away from civilized space, into uncharted depths, to start anew. Some 200 years have passed since then, and those hopeful ones have finally found a place to settle on. Firmly planting their flag in paradise, they called this untouched land "Eden" and declared the beginning of a true new age, the age of After Eden.Trouble, however, seemed to still be hounding them, as barely three years after its founding, Eden finds itself at war with a seemingly uncommunicative and uncompromising enemy that far outclasses the odd pirates they were used to facing. A new era of peace, marked by an immediate conflict. Time will tell if Eden, the Grand Experiment, truly is as great as it's supposed to be. ---------------------------------------- This is a sci-fi, character driven, military space drama. Multiple POV protagonists and lots of unnecessary detail. Somewhat psychological. My first work on this website. Living With Magic
Arthur, a young magician, is struggling with crippling social anxiety. The issue has reached a point where he likely won't graduate from University. Reaching a crossroads, he must decide whether to try and return to a family he despises or make his own path in the world. Is the magical power he has actually beneficial in the real world? Authors Note: I'm terrible at writing a synopsis, but over time I hope to write a better one. One of my favorite series of books is the Magicians by Lev Grossman and I hope to follow that same line of thinking within my story. How would a society built around magic actually exist and is power and magic actually as great as other stories make it out to be? The story and characters will be completely original and I will try to update the story on a regular basis. Also, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Vampire
Reed escaped his village, in order to flee from his mad father. Take it from there. ... Hello. This is my first novel, so please do be patient if there are any errors or holes in the story. Also, I'm not sure how many chapters this story will have, and it has no planned end. I currently don't have a release schedule. I will be releasing whenever I finish a chapter. The chapters are rather short as well

Summoning America
Entirely cut off from Earth, the United States finds itself in a scientific impossibility: the entire country, including the continental landmass and separated states and territories, was transported to another world. Unlike Earth, this new planet boasts phenomena unknown to science. Magic reigns supreme in this new region of the universe, bolstered by the natives' own scientific progression. Monsters roam wastelands and dungeons, subsisting off unfortunate travelers, local fauna, and sometimes even entire towns! Ambassador Samuel Anders is tasked with contacting the various nations and entities of this new world. Despite his best attempts at diplomacy, the arrogance and hostility of the natives prove to be an unnavigable barrier. War is the only alternative. Eventually, fears surface regarding an ancient evil: the Ravernal Empire. How will the United States handle the threats of this new neighborhood? What magical wonders will its adventurous citizens find? This Summoning Japan inspired work will follow the United States as it is summoned to a New World. The story will begin with the United States’ initial encounter with the Rodenius continent. Although starting similarly to the original story, Summoning America will begin to diverge greatly as the war against the Lourian Kingdom comes to an end. For the context of this work, I expect that you have already familiarized yourself with the original piece, “Summoning Japan” also known as “Nihonkoku Shoukan”.
