"Ah there we go," he said as he hoisted you up, "comfortable?"
You stared wide eyed at him, with your ears pulled back in shock. "Uh—m, yes?"
"Well too bad," he said as he turned and flopped you back onto the couch.
"Wha! You can't just toss me around!" You quickly sat up to glare at him.
"And why's that?" He smirked slyly at you. In his eyes you saw playful fire splash around.
You broke the glare, "...You're impossible."
You tensed as you felt soft a paw slide over your flattened ears. But you relaxed and lifted them up in greeting as you realized how soft and gentle the small pads were.
The paw left and you looked up to see Nick toss himself onto the couch to mimic how you were tossed a moment ago.
"See? It's not that bad!"
Scoffing, you got up off the couch to hang your jacket up.
Nick sat up properly as he watched you walk over to the rack, "Good idea."
As you slipped the jacket over the wooden holder, you turned to see him taking his hoodie off.
It was a dark pullover. Leaning forward and reaching behind himself to grab it from between his shoulder blades, he started to pull it up and over himself.
His fluffy ears moved forward against his head to make room for the hoodie and his eyes closed as it flowed off of him. The friction tugged at the shirt below the hoodie, which decided to follow it a little bit.
You watched in awe as his light cream fur fluffed out of its cotton prison. The faded green shirt stopped about halfway as the hoodie came off fully. Wilde put his head back and flexed his shoulders as the shirt fell back into place.

"Much better."
He got up and placed his hoodie next to yours on the rack. Looking down at you and then himself, he says, "Hmm. I feel kind of gross."
You glanced at your unkempt fur. It wasn't the best. "I do too."
"You wouldn't mind if I say... crashed here tonight?"
"Hmm. I don't see why not. Just so long as you don't bring in another mob boss."
"Great! And since I'm on a streak I have another question for you."
"Mhmm?"
"...Can I use your shower?"

The Oddity: The One Who Does Not Belong
A purple ball descended from the sky, a gift from the primordial dragons, granting many races of the world access to magic. Unfortunately, humans were not one of those. During the great war, the magicless humans were nothing more than fodder, meat shields. Until one day, their powers awakened. After the war, with the ability to now wield, fire, water, earth, wind, or lightning, powerful magicians gathered to build a safe haven for humans, the Kaldora Empire. Before the humans had magic, other races prospered with it. But, within their midst, there were... oddities. People with an affinity for two elements. Each one leaving some sort of disaster in their wake. Each one, not quite fit for this world. A young boy's family, killed in an accident, only he and his sister survived the night. After that, they were split up, each taken in by a different relative. It has been eight years since the flames engulfed his home and most of his family. With his magic powers finally showing itself, he goes off to a magic academy to better learn about his newfound powers. But as he grows, something else does as well. The voice inside his head, the thing that influences his thoughts, the monster that he wish was gone, the devil inside his heart. This is a tale about connections. NOTE: The story will be slow for many of the chapters and the time will also match it, ex: goes by day by day. The time mostly will be used for introducing and adding to characters. It won't pick up until somewhere in the twenties but there will be action and events earlier on such as the missions. Just a fair warning. Order of Phantasmal Architects

Battleforged: Book 1 - THE BILLION CREDIT HEIST - An Earth Apocalypse LitRPG Adventure
To do list for the post apocalypse: 1. Survive the orcs rampaging through your city. 2. Survive the pod trying to steal your mind. 3. Pull off the greatest heist of all time. It still amazed Eric how much the world’s end mirrored the movie his obsessed mother had put into production… set to release just three days after the Apocalypse. Only problem was, in the real world there were no chosen ones destined to fight the beast hordes now slaughtering countless millions in every major city on Earth. But humanity wasn’t completely helpless. You really could level up in this brave new world, and embrace magic, peril, and limitless power! So long as you didn’t mind a 90% mortality rate in alien vegetative pods as happy to turn you into topsoil as give you any shot at mastering a System designed to benefit elite invaders. Not fragile humans just trying to survive. But Eric was all about beating the odds… Even if it killed him. Author's Note - I plan in releasing 1 chapter a day for the first thirty days. I will then be posting at least 3 times a week. This story is for anyone who enjoys slow-rise-to-power story arcs! Our hero will start out humbled and desperate, struggling just to survive. And slowly, with time, diligence, and training his butt off, he'll evolve into a powerhouse that will force even his enemies to treat him with respect. And nothing beats the post-apocalyptic blues like stealing an absolute fortune in gold, right out from under the noses of everyone trying to kill you! Enough gold to live like a king… or start a city of your own!
