《Nick Wilde X Reader | A New Partner》TundraTown

As the van exited onto the snowy landscape from the tunnel, you saw the speckles of water on the van begin to freeze. You flipped the wipers back on as snow started to pile up on the windshield. It was foggy and dark along the streets; the temperature in this district dropped significantly at night, so no mammals were seen.
"So, what's the plan?" You ask tentatively, glancing at Nick as you drove.
"Well..." Nick stretched in his seat, "I gotta make the delivery tomorrow. So no changes there."
"Are you sure that's safe?"
"It'll be fine," Wilde shrugged as he leaned in his seat.
You sighed; you sure hope it would be fine.
"...Wait, what was it you're delivering?"
A smile formed on Nick's face, "Oh, right!" He sat back up and leaned closer to whisper to you, "it's catnip..."
"Ohhh," you raised your head in surprise, "...but I thought catnip was illegal?"
Nick scrunched his face and tossed his head back and forth a little, "Ehhh, it's disputable."
"Disputable?"
"Let's just say cats get... frisky... sometimes. A few too many public indecencies and rodent deaths made the headlines. So they shut down the catnip farms."
"But not all of the farms, I assume, since you have several crates of it?" You gestured toward the back of the van.
Nick paused for a moment.
"Are all commercial catnip farms gone? Yes."
Way to answer your own question, Wilde.
"Hmmm, so when's the dropoff?"
"Tomorrow at 10 PM. At an old subway station."
"The abandoned one??"
"...You're making it sound worse than it is."
You scoffed, "I don't want you to get hurt, dummy stupid head."
"There there," Nick said half soothingly, half mockingly as he patted your head, "I've been doing this for a long time."
"Yeah, well, I've had to bail you out before so... I'm coming with. And don't argue!"
Nick chuckled. He was leaning on the center console, gazing at you with a smug expression as you tried to focus on the road. "Wouldn't dream of it."
