《Nick Wilde X Reader | A New Partner》Night Howlers

Time slowed down as you dived forward, crashing into Nick and pushing him out of the way. As your bodies collided, you heard the shot from the gun reverberate around the tunnel.
A whip of air flew past your ears and your eyes shot to the left. You watched Judy jump back and cringe as she was hit by the pellet. It was a deep blue that splashed as it impacted her.
What did he shoot?! A paintball?
You panted, laying on top of Nick. You locked your wide eyes with him for a moment before you scrambled to get back up.
"Have fun with your bunny!" The ram called as he retreated into the subway car and slammed the door, leaving the gray cat behind.
"What's he mean by that?" You asked, looking at Nick and then at Judy, "Are you okay, officer?"
Judy was standing, wiping the blue liquid on her face, "Y-yeah, I'm fine... I think..."
You and Nick stood up, cautious of what would happen next. Nick gestured to Dust and then jogged over to the edge of the platform and hopped down, heading to help him. He jumped over the rails and began to untie the cat.
You looked back at Judy, who was now shaking with her hands on her head and her eyes clamped shut. "Ah!" She yelled, falling to her knees, "What's happening?!"
She's not... a bunny can't... right?
"N-nick! I think we have a situation!" You called over your shoulder as Judy fell and began to froth at the mouth, her eyes darting around wildly. Her movements were rapid and unnerving...
"Give us a minute!" He called back, busy helping Dust toward the platform.
I don't think we have a minute, Wilde...
You stepped away as Judy's head shot back up, her eyes locking onto you. Her pupils were constricted and she snarled as she stepped toward you. She crouched down, and then sprang from her strong hind legs right at you!

You quickly tried to aim the gun at her, but she crashed into you, knocking it out of your paws as you held your arms up to protect your face. She slashed and clawed at you, leaving slices along your arm and neck. You winced at the sharp pain and kicked hard against her, sending her into the air and over your head.
You watched in fear as she landed nimbly with a roll. She whipped around and jumped at you again. You scrabbled to the left to avoid her, but she managed to grip your clothes. You heard your hoodie's seams tear as her body weight yanked on you.
You gripped your hoodie and pulled back as hard as you could away from her. Her grip came loose and you both tumbled away from each other. Sitting back up, you looked down at your arms and saw the ripped-up sleeves of your hoodie. Below the dangling fabric, spheres of crimson were forming along where she had scratched you.
"Nick!!" You yelped as you desperately scrambled away from the bunny.
By now Nick had hoisted himself up onto the platform and was rushing over. He slid to stop between you and the rabbit.
"Let's get out of here!" Dust said for the first time, also lifting himself onto the platform and frantically looking around.
"That's the plan," Nick said in a low voice before Judy leaped at him. You watched in horror as she clawed him and tried to bite his neck. You looked around quickly and saw the tranquilizer you had dropped.
You jumped to your feet and sprinted toward the small gun. Grabbing it, you spun around, unclicked the safety, and aimed it at the attacking rabbit.
Inhaling and focusing, you lined the sight over her and squeezed the trigger.

A loud pop rang from the gun as a dart exploded from the barrel and careened through the air. The sharp end of it landed squarely in the bunny's back, piercing her police uniform and her skin with ease.
You lowered the gun, panting. You watched as her movements became slower and more sluggish until finally, she went limp and she fell to the ground, unconscious.
Tears began to well in your eyes as you rushed over to Nick. You jumped forward and gave him the biggest hug you could, burying your face in his jacket.

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them.
