Richard Adams is something of a talented alchemist. One of the few magical professions that have anything to do with some kind of science. Everything was going swimmingly, until the 'cold night' incident happened. With it being determined as his fault, that such a thing happened. He was promptly exiled until he could return to Eclipse with a new 'discovery' for his field. What he didn't expect; was that he'd run into a strange humanoid monster that could seemingly heal any life threatening wound in a matter of seconds. Certainly this would be what he needs to become a master alchemist. The first step on a multi series journey. Please excuse the earliest chapters and their poor grammer. Ebony Chitin follows Richard Adams, and Mimi on their Journey to understand each other and the world around them. Due the the exploratory nature of such a claim, it will cover many different topics. This was my first attempt at actually writing a story, and because of that I will not edit it. I'd suggest reading the second part as it comes out as most of the things within this book will be recapped. This is the story of a girl who ends up with scales and a sword. Yup. There you have it folks. Slice of Life is the key intended genre. This is literally going to be a running commentary of a girls life, especially as it relates to adventure and action This is going to be a continuous work, as I intend it to be a side project while I work on other books more decidedly, and I intend to rework chapters often, because I want this both to be a break from other titles, and a learning experience. I'm going to be trying to get a lot of people to comment on chapters so I can grow as a writer. So if you want to read, please do! and comment if you feel generous. Just keep in mind, releases will likely be veeeeery far apart. In this volatile landscape Fera is reborn and must adapt to this new and ever-changing world. She will grasp at whatever opportunities she finds to escape her unfortunate birth as an orphan. Either excelling, or wallowing in self-pity, Fera will question if this world of magic was as fantastical as she initially thought. Note: The story is technically a litRPG, but much less like a game and more akin to real life, for example obtaining a class does not give free skills to the individual, it’s the other way around! Skills are what unlock your class, so an individual who learns magic skills will unlock mage classes, classes then provide passive buffs and stats, in my opinion this makes everything feel more earned so that the power levels in the world are more natural, rather than every single random person being a powerhouse.
