JUNE 29, 1989
- - Third Person - -
Richie awoke to screaming, his sister screaming to be exact. He turned on his bed and saw a blurred image of his sister, being dragged off of her bed by her hair.
He reached for his glasses and put them on to see that her parents had indeed, come home early. Their mother, pulling Rylees hair while slapping her and yelling rude names at her, their father standing and watching, smiling as he yelled the names at Rylee as well. Rylee couldn't see, she didn't have her glasses. Richie started to get up, but their mother, Maggie, kicked Rylee down and ran to Richie, holding him down. "Don't touch her!" He yelled, fighting against his mothers grasp "STOP IT! Please! Just leave her alone!"
"Little whores like her deserve to be treated poorly, Richard. Don't make me hurt you too." Maggie told the boy, she's always been soft on him, so was their father, they liked him just a little bit, but would still hit him if they wanted.
Their father left the room for a moment, leaving Rylee on the floor, crying loudly, and breathing heavily. "Rich?" she croaked out, her voice quiet.
"Shut up, whore." their mother growled, still holding Richie, who was trying his hardest to get to his sister, down
Their father, Wentworth, came back into the room, this time, holding a wooden bat, walking slowly towards Rylee. "YOU LEAVE HER ALONE!! DON'T YOU DARE GO NEAR HER!" Richie yelled, only to be met by a slap from his mother "SHE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG!" Richie continued to yell
To make it short, Wentworth had beat Rylee until she was almost unconscious, Maggie was holding Richie down the whole time, making him watch. He cried and screamed at them to stop, but they only did when they were satisfied.
Wentworth and Maggie has left the room once they were satisfied with Rylees body, laying on the floor, bruises and cuts along her entire body. "We'll be at work, Richard, back at ten, as always." Maggie yelled from downstairs, before slamming the door behind her and driving with Philip to their work.
Richie dropped down to the floor, holding his sister in his arms, "C'mon Ry, you're okay, you're gonna be just fine." he mumbled, picking her up and carrying her to the bathroom to clean her up
"Why are they so cruel?" Rylee cried, it was a rare sight to see Rylee Tozier cry, only Richie, Bill, Stan, and Eddie have ever seen her cry. Bill, Stan and Eddie has only seen her cry once, and it was when she was seven. But Richie, he'd seen her cry almost every time she did cry.
"They're just.. not good people, Ry. Not good people." he told her and started cleaning up the blood
"Yeah no shit they're not good people, our father just beat with with a bat while our mother watched with a smile! What time is it?"

Richie took a step out of the bathroom and checked the clock in the hallway, "It's 8:40"
"They weren't supposed to be home for a few days!" The young girl exclaimed
"I know... hey, Ry? I needa ask you something." Richie asked the girl
"Uh-huh." She mumbled, as a sign of her listening
"No, I need you to look at me, and tell me the whole truth." Richie told her, placing his hand under her chin and forcing her to look up at him, "How did you really get those slashes on your face?"
"Y-You wouldn't believe me, Rich." She mumbled, looking away
He forced her to look at him again, "Tell me, Ry. Please."
"A clown! Alright!"
"What?"
"A fucking clown! I was swimming, I saw Georgie, I know I sound crazy but I followed him an-and I saw Georgie. I talked to him, he called me Rainie, like old times. I thought it was him." she told him, "Listen, I know it'll sound crazy, but I saw a fucking clown. I was talking to Georgie, and all of a sudden he started yelling at me, then he turned into a clown. And i-it slashed me. I know I sound crazy! I know! B-But that's what I saw, Richie! That's what I saw!" she shouted
"I get it. I get it. Calm down." Richie told his sister, giving her a hug, not breaking the embrace until she had calmed down, which took about ten minutes, "You're alright now. You have a black eye and a lot of bruises on your arms and legs, go take a shower, okay?"
Rylee nodded, and they walked into their shared room, dragging the sheet across the room so they each had privacy. Rylee looked at herself on the mirror on her wall, her hair a mess, bruises and cuts all over her body, a black eye. Richie did stop the bleeding through the cuts, which was surprising, because Richie didn't even know what the word mass meant.
Rylee grabbed some clothes she'd feel comfortable wearing for the day, and head to the bathroom for a shower
After Rylee took her shower, she changed into Richies navy blue hoodie, and a pair of grey sweatpants with a stripe down the side of her leg, and her usual black converses.
Richie looked at her sadly when he saw what she was wearing, knowing she just wanted to hide her scars. The only thing she can't hide is her black eye.
Rylee fixed her glasses and sighed, "You okay Ry?" Richie asked his sister, already knowing the answer, he just wanted to see what she'd say
"What'll the rest of the losers think? Will they think I ran into Bowers again?"
Richie laughed a little, "You can tell them that, if you want."
The whole losers club, except for Beverly and Ben, knew about Richie and Rylees parents, verbally and physically abusing the twins. What no one, not even Richie knew though, was that their father took it too far a few months back.

- - flashback (third person) - -
FEBRUARY 15, 1986
When Richie was over at Bills for a guys night with Bill, Stan, and Eddie, Rylee was left alone with her parents.
Richie and the boys were up watching movies and making jokes and laughing at literally anything, even Richie talking about street fighter and girls
Meanwhile, Rylee was in her room, listening to music and drawing. Rylee has always been amazing at art, everyone knows it, there was no doubt she could sell them.
Rylee had just finished a portrait she'd been working on for a while, of her and the rest of the losers. She was basing the drawing off of a picture Mrs. Denbrough took on Bills birthday, the whole losers gang had spent their whole day with Bill and his family
In the photo, Richie and Rylee had big grins on their faces, while Eddie, Bill, and Stan were all just smiling widely at the camera, and little Georgie was smiling wide, looking at the camera.
Rylee was the only one not looking at the camera, she was looking at Mr. Denbrough, who was struggling not to spill a bowl of cereal he'd filled to the very top with milk, almost impossible not to spill
Rylee, Richie and Georgie were sitting on the floor, and Eddie, Stan, and Bill were standing behind them
That was one of the greatest days of their lives, and Rylee started drawing that portrait the week after the picture was taken, we wanted to give it as a gift to the whole losers club and hang it up somewhere, wherever they could, somewhere they'd all hang out, she didn't know where yet, but she was sure they'd figure it out.
She put so much effort into this drawing, she made sure it looked perfect, and it does look perfect. Every single part of it was. It looked exactly like the original picture taken, without the colour though.
Rylee closed her sketch book that held the drawing and the picture in it and placed it under her bed, then listened to her music, which wasn't playing very loud, so she wouldn't wake her parents.
Wentworth and Maggie has come home late that night, drunk out of their minds, but passed out in the living room when the came home, thank god.
It was four in the morning now, back at the Denbrough house, all the boys had fallen asleep,
But back at the Tozier household, Rylee was still listening to music and staring at her ceiling, she was about to close her eyes but her father burst through her bedroom door, yelling at her about how she's a terrible child and how she shouldn't live and how he wished she was never born.
He beat her until she was almost passed out, that was when Rylee heard her fathers jeans being unzipped and pulled off, then she passed out.
The next morning, Rylee woke up in a lot of pain, and not wearing any clothes, she looked around her room and saw her clothes she'd been wearing the day before had been ripped to pieces and thrown across the room. Tears came to her eyes, remembering what happened before she passed out, the sound of Wentworth unzipping his jeans was stuck in her mind. Her own father had raped her.

- - Third Person - -
"Ry? Ryleeeeeee? Helloooo" Richie repeated, waving a hand in front of her face
"Wha- huh?"
"I said, Stan called, something about Beverly, him, Bill, Ben, and Eddie are coming down right now, let's go get our bikes," he paused for a second, "you sure you won't die of heat in that outfit?"
"I'll be fine, Rich." She said and walked past him and down the stairs, walking towards the door that lead to the garage that held their bikes
Richie and Rylee waited for about ten minutes in their front yard for the rest of the losers, and when they did show up, everyone noticed Rylees black eye, except for Eddie.
Eddie still hasn't looked at Rylee since they got to the Tozier house
"Holy s-s-shit! Ry w-what happened t-to you?" Bill stuttered out, running towards Rylee, along with Stan and Ben to look at her eye
Eddie looked up from the ground and saw her eye, puffy and half way opened, surrounded by shades of yellow, purple and red all mixed into a bruise
"Nothing important, Im fine." Rylee mumbled
Bill looked at Richie, who looked at Rylee and mouthed 'tell them'
Rylee shook her head, and mouthed back 'you do it'
Richie sighed and looked at the boys, who were all looking at him expectedly, worry clear in their eyes about what happened to their little Rylee.
Eddie was concerned, he wanted to hug her, but he got mad at her for a stupid reason to say before and felt stupid, really really stupid.
"It was uh, mum and dad.. again" Richie mumbled the last part
Eddies heart broke, he absolutely hates Maggie and Wentworth Tozier. They hurt such good kids.
Bill and Stan looked like they wanted to kill someone, and gave Rylee a hug, Ben looked shocked and hugged Rylee as well, Rylee hugged them all back, Richie was staring at the ground
Once they all broke from the hug, Eddie walked up slowly to Rylee and hugged her tightly, "Im sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." he mumbled
Rylee returned the hug and mumbled a little "It's ok" before breaking the hug and hopping on her bike
"Well? Beverly called us, didn't she?" She said and waited for the rest of the group to get on their bikes
Bill smiled and rolled his eyes at the girl, she'd always make everything about everyone else, she never liked all the attention to be on her for longer than a minute, she always put everyone else before herself. That's just one of the many things everyone loves about Rylee

It’s incendiary stuff—and if Masha goes missing, Marcus is supposed to release it to the world. Then Marcus sees Masha being kidnapped by the same government agents who detained and tortured Marcus years earlier.Marcus can leak the archive Masha gave him—but he can’t admit to being the leaker, because that will cost his employer the election. He’s surrounded by friends who remember what he did a few years ago and regard him as a hacker hero. He can’t even attend a demonstration without being dragged onstage and handed a mike. He’s not at all sure that just dumping the archive onto the Internet, before he’s gone through its millions of words, is the right thing to do.Meanwhile, people are beginning to shadow him, people who look like they’re used to inflicting pain until they get the answers they want. Fast-moving, passionate, and as current as next week, Homeland is every bit the equal of Little Brother—a paean to activism, to courage, to the drive to make the world a better place.
