I woke to a sudden pain going through my body, it was like electricity shocking me from the inside out. I snapped my eyes open while letting out a shriek, tears threatened to fall but I held them back for a reason that I couldn't figure out. A voice in the back of my head just demanded me not to let them fall.
"Ok, stop. That's enough." A voice echoed through the room, muffled a little by my screams and right after it spoke the electricity went off causing my pain to seize. After catching my breath, I looked at my surroundings at the small room I was in, it was a simple room to be honest, it was pure white all around except for the two dark figures standing by a switch with cords coming out of it.
"Oh, your awake. I'm sorry to wake you on such short notice but I need you awake when Jack gets here." The taller voice spoke out to me, it took a while before the voice became more familiar making me start to get up but was held down by straps around my arms and legs.
"Oh yes~ I forgot to mention that your strapped down to that little old electric chair there, I hope you don't mind it's a little tight." He let out a dark chuckle before snapping his fingers, a figure emerged from the shadows to be a large animal thing. It had a human looking body but it was disfigured, their teeth were sharp as nails and its body was light grey. I couldn't hold back anymore and looked away from it's red beating eyes that pierced through my skin and into my soul.
"What's wrong? Don't like The Rake?" I heard Zalgo call out to me, but I didn't turn back to him. I felt bad for judging its looks but I still couldn't look at it without gagging.
"I'm sorry..." I whispered out quietly, but he heard every word, Zalgo let out another deep chuckle before I heard footsteps walking over to me. My chin was grabbed roughly and was turned to look at Zalgo, I flinched and tried to pull away from him, no avail.
"You really are as pure of heart as they say, huh" he spoke out his thoughts to me. I felt my eyes widen at his remark. I couldn't tell if it was a bad thing or a good thing to be called that by the likes of him, he brought his other hand up to my cheek and roughly brushed it. I yelped out at the sudden pressure he gave me before pulling away quickly, his deep red eyes never left me.
"Rake, if Jack comes early then signal to me. I need to explain to our little queen right here," he demanded the strange creature who nodded slightly and walked out of the room on all fours but in a crouch form. Once the door was shut I asked my question that was burning in my head ever since the woods.
"Why are you after me?" I quietly said but loud enough for him to hear, he scratched his pitch black skinned chin before smiling devilishly at me.
"Because your pure of heart, people like you are rare to find now-a-days. A pure of heart is a person with..well, a pure heart. Its not a species but just someone who had a kind heart." He circled around me as he explained to me, I still had more questions.
"But I'm not pure of heart, I've done some bad things in the past!" He stopped pacing and looked directly at me again, his eyes locked with my own (y/e/c) ones.

"Well even a pure of heart has their ups and downs, now don't they?" He spoke with such a deep voice it almost sounded inhuman, but yet again, he isn't human.
"But why do you want a 'Pure of Heart' then?" I was more braver now that he had seemed less intimidating but I still held up my guard, he again started circling me.
"Well, since I'm a demon from hell, I might as well have a queen. And what's better then having a pure of heart as my queen, just think, 'Zalgo Marries a pure of heart!' It'd be something everyone would be jealous of." My eyes widened and my body tensed, I felt drops of sweat fall down my face as the temperature dropped completely.
'H-he wants me to b-be his WIFE!'
My mind was freaking out at this point, I felt goosebumps everywhere on my body. I started to struggle against the restraints, ignoring the pain of them rubbing against my (s/c) skin. He let out a deep sigh before walking back over to the switch on the wall beside me, suddenly the same pain went throughout my body again. I screamed as loud as I could at that moment, my shrieks echoed out of the room and into the rest of the place I was held.
"Tsk,tsk, tsk, (y/n) I guess I'll have to use brute force to make you my wife." He spoke in between my screams, I felt tears fall down my cheeks and onto my lap. Nothing could compare to the pain in my heart when those words left his mouth, it wasn't the electricity that caused it but the thought of marrying someone I didn't want too. Jack suddenly popped into my head again, his light chuckles and deep voice that melted my heart, I would never hear it again.
"Jack, come back to me..."
—
The underworld was just plain dark and the smell of death everywhere, I couldn't see (y/n) but I could still smell her. She was close. A dark mansion came into my view as I ran, the mansion had no windows so I had to go through the front door. I bursted through them with force, causing them to shatter into pieces making my entrance noticeable. My sight landed on The Rake who was peaking around a corner before running off, I followed in persuade after him like a dog chasing a squirrel but I knew I would catch him. Being on all fours made me go faster after the other four legged creature, he cut off into a room so I followed behind. When I was about to walk in, the door slammed in my face, I ran into it making it create a loud bang that echoed through the halls.
I screamed in my head to no one in particular, I heard screams come within the room which sent my anger on again. I knew it was (y/n)'s screams right away, backing up a little I began ramming my body into the door. It was hard to do but I tried my best. The screams stopped suddenly making me even more worried about her, the worst scenarios were going through my head making me ram harder. Finally the door busted open with a sight that made my claws dig into the wooden floorboards, (y/n) was strapped onto a chair with wires sticking out of the back. I didn't see Zalgo in sight though. I slowly walked over to her limp form, once I was close enough I sniffed her hair a little to get her attention. Her head lifted slightly to look at me, her eyes were dull and full of hurt but once she saw me her eyes warmed up a little.

"Jack..what..happened to..you?" She spoke out almost lower then a whisper, she was nearly out of breath when she talked to me. I ignored that my face was showing and I was practically a beast, all my focus was on this small woman in front of me who gave me such joy. That joy soon diminished when she suddenly widened her eyes and screamed out, I widened my eyesockets at her sudden outburst.
"Hey, don't get all romantic to my fiancé there Jack or she might get hurt." A deep voice spoke out from behind me, I turned sharply to meet Zalgo standing by a switch of some kind. I roared at him to stop because talking in this form was kinda hard, and he did. When the switch was off, (y/n) stopped screaming and went silent.
"" I mustered out to Zalgo as I stood in front of (y/n), Zalgo just smiled and walked over to us. He suddenly lifted his hand to touch (y/n) but I just bit into his arm making him grunt, I locked my jaw as I started to draw dark blood from him. He shook me but I didn't let go, he grabbed onto my back and dug his fingers into my skin. I let out a whimper and letting go slightly enough for him to yank me off, I lifted my hind legs and pushed him away from me.
"JACK, ITS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE YOU GIVE UP" Zalgo chuckled out of his discusting mouth before grabbing my legs with his other hand, I began clawing at his arm that was still locked into my back. He bent forwards a little enough for me to come up and scratch his face with my nails, he let out a scream before completely letting go of me.
I couldn't take it anymore, my body was starting to give up at this point. I felt so useless and a burden to Jack because he had to save me all the time, what happened to make me like this? Part of me blamed my mother for neglecting me for years, the other part of me blamed my father for not being there for me and leaving me and my mother.
"Such a Mut, I should just kill you now."
My eyes widened at Zalgo's threat, I didn't know if he meant it but when I looked up and saw the position Jack and him were in, I knew he meant it. Jack's head was under Zalgo's foot as he laid on the ground, whimpering at the pain whenever Zalgo pressed onto Jacks head. I felt my heart shatter, Jack's beasty form didn't bother me but the fact that he was close to death made me push myself to finally giving Zalgo what he wanted.
"FINE!" I screamed out to the two males who stood a couple of feet away from me, Zalgo turned to me but Jack stayed motionless on the ground even though he was still awake. Zalgo gave me a confused look before asking,
"Fine what?" I think he knew what I meant but wanted to hear it for himself and for Jack to hear too, I bit my bottom lip too scared to answer. Zalgo got impatient and pressed more weight onto Jack's head making Jack grunt in pain, I widened my eyes before snapping out.
"Fine, I'll marry you but leave Jack alone!" I screamed at the demon who soon would be my husband. I heard slight mumbles from Jack as he started to squirm under Zalgo's foot, my eyes started to poor out tears as I waited for Zalgo to take my deal.
"Good~ I won't hurt Jack then.." he lifted his foot off of Jacks head and walked over to me, I caught Jack from the side of Zalgo. Jack had turned his head around and was now looking at me with worry, sorrow, and anger on his face. I examined his face while imprinting it into my mind, his name really did mean what it said, eyeless. His eyes were gone while a dark void spilled out black goop out of his eyesockets, his grey skin was a medium shade, his teeth were almost as sharp as The Rake's teeth.
"Let me talk with Jack before you take me, please." I begged Zalgo as I switched my gaze over to him, he scratched his chin before answering.
"Fine, but no funny business or I'll kill him." He walked over to me before unbuckling my straps over my arms and legs, I rubbed my arms that currently had red marks on them. Zalgo walked over to the door before kicking Jack lightly and chuckling, when he shut the door behind him I ran over to Jack.
"J-Jack I'm so s-sorry I caused this!" I sobbed to him, he was still in his beasty form but I knew he understood me. My tears fell onto his face as I hovered over him, I couldn't stop rambling to him about how sorry I was and that I blamed myself for him being hurt. I was cut off by him pulling on my arms towards him, his arms wrapped around me before tightly hugging me. My eyes widened but I immediately embraced him back, I felt so calm and safe when I was in his arms. My heart sped up and my face flushed a bright red, butterflies fluttered in my stomach making it tickle.
"" he spoke, I couldn't help but still feel guilty. I regretted ever getting involved in Jack's life otherwise he wouldn't be in this mess, I need to get some stuff of my chest before it's too late.
"Jack, did I tell you the reason I wanted you to kill me?"
I backed up a little to meet his black voids, he shook his head before I continued.
"I didn't have a reason to live, whenever I would find myself in a hard situation my mind always went to ending my life. I always considered it but was too scared to do anything so when you came along I just was ready to leave, but as time went on I finally found a purpose for living in this world." I stopped briefly so I could see if he was listening, he was listening quietly as his arms were still around me, lifting him up off the ground a little.
"You. You are my new reason, Jack." I let it out before looking away from him, I didn't want to see his face, I was worried that he'd be mad or confused at my reasoning. Without warning I felt him pull himself closer to me before softly grabbing my left cheek turning my face towards his, I met his voids again but his facial expression caught me off guard. His face looked calm and understanding, his mouth was partly opened while he brought me closer to him. My heart began to race at his actions, my face heated up but my mind was turning blank. I looked away from his eyes to his light grey lips that looked to soft and cold, I actually found his coldness to be quite soothing and nice while others would like the warmth.
"" he breathlessly let out before his lips slowly glazed over mine, my heart was beating out of my chest now. His lips lightly pressed against mine as if asking for an invite, I let my body go and slowly kissed him back. It felt like at the moment our lips touched, the height of a song just went on and fireworks went off, I felt so at peace. I tilted my head to deepen the kiss, our noses touched, tickling me as I let out a giggle. I felt him smile within the kiss at my giggle.
I wished the kiss would never end but good things never last forever as a loud bang hit the door, we separated almost out of breathe. We looked at each other still only inches apart, Jack's face turned into worry again.
"" he mustered out before tightening his grip around me, I sighed deeply but let a sad smile come across my face. Tears were again falling down my face and falling down, mixing into his black ooze that dripped from his eye sockets.
"I'll be ok, I want to save you this time."
His eye sockets widened before he started shaking, he practically attached himself to me, I didn't mind though. The door opened to a smirking Zalgo, he frowned when he saw Jack holding onto me.
"Let's go (y/n), ." his voice turned threatening again, my grip unconsciously tightened around Jack. My fears had taken over me again and I was shaking too, Jack growled before getting up and holding me in his arms. He stared Zalgo down.
"Oh come on Jack, stop being a pest!" Zalgo angrily walked over to me and Jack before ripping me out of Jack's embrace. I whimpered before being thrown out of the room, I hit against the wall before sliding to the ground. Jack got up and was about to attack again but I wouldn't let him.
"NO, don't Jack!" I commanded to him, he hesitated a little before stopping. Zalgo chuckled before walking out of the room Jack was still in, he stopped and turned around to meet Jack's glare.
"Your invited to the wedding if you want too, but be warned I will kill (y/n) if you try."

The Humble Life of a Skill Trainer
For Joshua Still, Skills were the lifeblood of his business. He wanted to understand them, collect many of them, and teach a few of them. Chronicles of Xod (returning from hiatus)
After a long recovery over a chronic motion sickness issue, I feel I'm ready to return to writing this book. It might be slow at first, but I'm hoping to pick up where I left off. I apologize again for the long hiatus. The pages following are a true account. An account of how I, Josh--a teenage nerd from modern suburbia--ended up in a strange world filled with fantastic magic, bizarre creatures, and terrifying dungeons. Despite the troped-up fantasy feel of the world, this is hardly an ordinary tale. For one, don’t expect a happy ending. With the trials I’ve been through, the horrors I’ve seen and the atrocities I’ve committed, believe me when I tell you, this is not a happy tale filled with friendly rainbow bears or teenage flying unicorns. It’s more likely you’ll finish this book mentally scarred as I will not spare the details of my unfortunate adventures. With the help of my trusted companion Gui, I gain an insight that no one else in the world has. This knowledge allows me to exploit and, for lack of a better term, metagame the system which gave me a clear advantage over its residents. “With great power...,” someone might begin to quote to me. In my defense, I think maybe even you, reader, might have acted similarly with how this reality changed my view of good and evil. This story will be updated regularly on Wednesdays around 6 PM. There will only be about 1000 words per update. The focus is to finish the story before doing any major changes or editing. Please read as if this is a work in progress, not a finished product. Feel free to let me know if you see any error, whether glaring or minor. If you help me out, I'll be sure to add you to a thank you list at the front of the book when it is published. Chronicles of Xod is a first-person fantasy novel that follows the adventures of a young man from Earth. Through unknown circumstances, he finds himself in a fantasy world where life is not all wonders and happy endings. The story takes common fantasy concepts from my favorite video games, books and movies and gives them an adult edge. It also introduces some taboo concepts often glossed over by stories written for broad audiences. The style is meant to be immersive and heavily detailed. The short novel will be written in a way that attempts to bring a sense of realism to an unrealistic genre. Where there are realistic consequences and dangers in a world populated with violent monsters, cruel demons, bloodthirsty undead, and immoral bandits. In this fantasy world, the inhabitants are essentially gender blind as far as sexuality is concerned. There is also more variation amongst male and female physiology. This isn't meant to be any kind of promotion or demotion of social behavior in reality. Just a concept I thought would be an interesting idea to have in a fantasy setting. I highly discourage anyone from reading this material if you are personally concerned with being offended or traumatized. Both violent and sexual content will be graphically detailed. All characters involved in sexual scenes are mature and of the age of consent(18+).
