"Thanks for meeting me." Amber said as she sat at Starbucks with Sky.
Sky smiled before she spoke "Fasho, wassup?"
"Nothing, I just really wanna apologize for how I treated you. I realize that I had a lot of emotions built up and I directed them at the wrong people."
"Youn gotta apologize, I understand." Sky told her but Amber shook her head.
"No, you was right about Raven and Jordyn.."
Sky looked at her to go on.
"..and Monte.
Sky gave her a sad smile "It's all good, you was really manipulated bad by the nigga.. I wish you would've been a little smarter but I understand."
The two sat in an awkward silence for a few seconds until Amber spoke.
"Thanks again for meeting me.. I really hope we can become friends again. "
Sky let out a laugh "Thank you for the drink, and Amber you're always gon be my best friend regardless."
"Why you so nice to me?" Amber asked.
"Because I'm seeing the bigger picture, before all this you were always there for me. So even though in the beginning I was hurt by how you was treating me, I realized that I had to give you space and just be patient."
"Can I give you a hug? You know imma hugger." Sky smiled causing Amber to crack a smile as she stood up.
Once the two pulled away, they grabbed their things then headed to the exit.
"I have to go for my nail appointment, but would you like to chill later on?" Sky asked as they made in front of their cars.
Amber nodded "Yea just text me."
"Okay, I'll see you."
Amber got into her car, then sped out of the parking lot.

"Hey babygirl." Rodney spoke as Amber came into the kitchen.
"Hey." She waved, then grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge.
"What you doing later today?"
"Umm I'm actually going to Sky house to chill."
"Oh ight.. I was tryna see if you wanted to grab sum food and do some shopping." He explained.
He knew his daughter loved to shop.
"We can tomorrow." She told him.
"How was the spa?" He asked her.
She nodded "It was really good, they gave me a new face wash too."
"That's good, but I heard you gave your sister a hard time."
Amber immediately scrunched up her face.
"A hard time? How?"
"She told me you were being rude, that's your sister and we don't tolerate-"
She let out a dry laugh, cutting him off "But when I tell you anything about how she acts towards me it's okay."
"What?"
"You heard exactly what I said. When I used to tell you half the shit she did to me you'd brush it the fuck off. But now that she said I did something it's 'we don't tolerate that.' This what i he talking about."

"Whatever Amb, I'm done with the attitude give me your keys.
"Yea whatever." She scoffed as she tossed the keys at him.
He opened his mouth to say something but she was already halfway to Iman's room.
"What you want?" He asked looking up from the game.
"Can you take me to Sky house?" She asked sitting on the edge of his bed.
She watched as he scrunched up his face "Um don't you gotta car?"
"He took them.."
Iman looked at her for a second then groaned.
"You ready?"
"Yea." She cheesed as he got up.

Amber knocked on Sky's apartment door then took a step back as she waited.
"Heyyyy girl." Tay squealed causing Amber to look up from her phone and jump.
"Oh hey Tay." She smiled as he let her in.
"Bae that's Amber?" Sky yelled from in the kitchen.
"Yea." He yelled back.
"How you been?" He asked, walking her to the living room.
"Good and-" she cut herself off seeing an extra body on the couch.
"This my homie Knowledge.." Tay laughed causing Knowledge to smack his lips.
"I'm bullshitting, but imma be in the kitchen wit Sky, to give y'all two some space." He said laughing some more.
Amber rolled her eyes and leaned against the wall as Knowledge sat on his phone.
"Girl you wanna sit?" Sky smiled as she came into the living room with a fruit tray and some wings.
Tay helped Sky rest the tray down, then he pulled her into his lap.
Amber eyed the only space available on the couch and sighed.
"Excuse me." She mumbled to Knowledge since his legs were up on the table, blocking her path to the available spot.
Knowledge ignored her and continued on his phone.
"Aye bruh she tryna sit." Tay smirked, causing Sky to hit him. "Oww girl."
"Stop being messy." She fussed.
Knowledge let out a chuckle as he moved his feet to let her pass and sit next to him.
"What we gon watch?" Tay asked as Sky flipped through the different movies on Tubi.
"I'm feeling Jason's Lyric. Y'all cool wit that?" Sky asked.
Knowledge nodded while Amber gave her a verbal yes.

"This girl knocked out." Amber heard Tay said as she opened her eyes.
She looked up at them, then looked down seeing that she was basically on Knowledge's lap as her head rested on his shoulder.
"My bad." She mumbled as she got up.
Since they had finished the movie, the boys switched the TV over to 2k and were now playing.
"So you live here by yourself?" Amber asked Sky.
"Yea, I finally got Keita to sign my emancipation papers, now I rent this wit the money I stacked." Sky nodded, referring to her mom.

"Wow, it's nice in here." Amber smiled.
"Thank you."
They talked some more about random things until Amber saw it was getting late, and decided to gather her things.
"Call me when you get home." Sky waved as Amber headed out.
"Ight bruh I'll see you." She heard behind her, but ignored it.
Are you on the way?
Gimme a few, I'm at my shorty house.
Iman i told you 11.
Ight chill I'll be there.
Amber rolled her eyes as she hung up the phone and took a seat on the bench.
She watched as Knowledge walked past her and unlocked his car doors.
"Amber." He called.
She rolled her eyes again and ignored him.
"I know you hear me talking to you."
"You heard me earlier and ignored me so..."
He chuckled and walked back towards her "My bad, just been having a bad day. You need a ride?"
"I'm good." She said looking down at her phone.
"You know that nigga gon be at her house all night."
"Okay then I'll call Israel." She said going to her contacts.
She let the phone ring and ring, until it went to voicemail.
"Oh my goshhh," she mumbled.
Knowledge shook his head "Come."
Amber blew out a breath then spoke "Knowledge please just leave me alone."
"Nah, I'm taking you home Amber. Get in the fuckin' car."
She sat where she was for a few more seconds, until she sighed and stood up.
"That's what I thought."
Deciding not to say anything else to him, she put her seatbelt on and looked out the window as tears of irritation streamed down her face.
Knowledge let out a breath as he put the car in drive and pulled out of the apartment complex.
Soon, they pulled in front of a house, but it wasn't hers.
"Knowledge-" she started as the car turned off.
"Come on." He said, grabbing her purse and heading out the car.
She let out a breath and followed him into the house.
"Where's your dad?"
"At his house." Knowledge said as he started up the stairs.
Amber stopped at the bottom step, causing him to pause and look down.
"We just going to my room." He told her.
She nodded and started up the steps, as he resumed his steps.
"Whoa." She mumbled once they made it to his room.
"Hmm.. we finna talk." He said, tossing her a shirt and new polo boxers out of a pack.
"Ion like outside clothes on my bed." He explained while she mugged him.
"No one asked to be in your bed.." she sassed as she still went into his bathroom to change.
She spent a few minutes in there snooping around to see all that he had.
"Stop being nosey." He called from the other side of the door.
"I wish you would leave me alone." She rolled her eyes but opened the door to see Knowledge laying down with a fire stick remote in his hand.
"I wanna talk." He stated as he patted a spot in the bed.
"You were supposed to be taking me home. I don't want to talk.."
"Amber.."
"Knowledge.." she said mocking his tone.
"Please come here."
"Okay, talk from here." She leaned against the bathroom door and stared at him.
"I ain mean to make you upset the other day.. or tonight, mama."
She shrugged "But you did.."
"And I'm sorry for that. But what I said needed to be said Amber."
"Okay but-"
"That nigga Monte don't deserve you and them friends don't deserve you." He said.
"You a beautiful girl and you smart as hell, so ion understand why you let yourself be treated like that. Everyone in that damn school know wassup and I feel like you do too.. so why you oblivious to the bullshit?"
He looked over at Amber as tears streamed down her face.
She never got told she was beautiful.
And she especially wasn't recognized academically.
She was really just seen for her body.
So she felt that's all she was good for.
That's why she let Monte treat her however.
"Come here." He said softer this time as he watched tears form in her eyes, and this time she listened.
Once she made it into the bed, Knowledge pulled her into his chest.
The two sat in silence for a second as she held her tears back, until finally he held her tighter causing her to start sobbing.
"We good?" He asked as she finished crying and just laid on his chest.
"Mhm, I'm sorry." She said looking down at his shirt.
He chuckled as he got up to get another one "It's straight."
"So..."
"So..." Knowledge mocked as he pulled his shirt off.
"I'm staying here tonight?" She asked.
He shrugged "If you want to."
"Yeaaa imma go home." She told him.
"Why?" He scrunched up his face in confusion.
"Because you don't say 'if you want to' to me."
He chuckled "I wasn't tryna force you or nun."
"I'm still going home." She shook her head.
"Ight lemme rephrase that.. you staying here tonight."
"Okay.. I'm staying here tonight." She nodded.
"Find sum for us to watch I gotta use the bathroom."
