Lily's pov

I walked into the room and seen a table cover in an all-white tablecloth, Erica pulled my chair out for me and I thanked her for it, I sat alone for while she left me I stared at my hands... I couldn't shake the thought of Jared...after everything, it felt like I was betraying him...no I was doing him a favor..I would save my best friend and the pack...and he..could have Hailey, I heard footsteps coming and I straightened my posture keeping my eyes lowered, all of the classes I had taken coming back, I just kept repeating the words to myself eyes low, speak when spoken too, elbows off the table be polite and don't slurp My guest took his seat at the other end of the table and I looked up at him for the first time , He was handsome but nothing like Jared he had black hair and black eyes and he had a look that could make a child scream and hide under the covers.

"Erik and you are?" he asked

"Lilac or lily...for short," I said lowering my head respectfully

"ah two very beautiful flowers, you're mother must have been very wise...you're very beautiful,"he said and I blushed which made him smile

"I'm afraid never had the pleasure to meet my mother" I stated

" what do you mean" he laughed" our kind has no end" he looked at me then I remembered what I had to do

"um, what I meant was my mother was a half human half vamp. and my father was a full vamp" I lied looking down knowing damn well both my parents were full wolf

" well that's alright as long as you have no mutt in you," he said glaring with suspicious I laughed politely

"oh dear that would be something else"I took a sip of my water feeling nervous

"yes well, I believe it's time for the main course," he said snapping his fingers and servants brought in lamb and pig

I took a deep breathe as I sat on my bed, brushing my hair and wearing a silk nightgown it was pink I laid in bed trying to relax when I heard something through the mind link...faint but definitely there...

"Lilac...are you there...it's Jared" I heard

"Jared....help"I called back praying to the moon goddess that he would hear me, I sent out and waited but all of a sudden I heard a buzzing and passed out
