Jared's Pov

I felt so comfortable, I was engulfed in her scent after so long of waiting for so long this moment was finally here. by me and only me, mine.

I felt her stir but didn't move, I wanted to say something to her but didn't want to risk her being mad at me, She turned over and looked at me.

"hey..." she whispered

"hi..."I said looking at her she was so beautiful

" I wanna shower...." she whispered I took my arm off of her letting her move, she slowly got up and I looked at her stunning face she hair was messy and her face was flushed pink I sat up in my bed I watched as she walked to my bathroom but then she turned around facing me

" can I have my own room..." she whispered

" yea...I can give you the guest room across the hall" I spoke softly

" isn't that a little...I don't know close...I mean we aren't...mates anymore.." she spoke looking down at her feet, and I felt my wolf cry a little with pain and anger

" I would like to have you close...I don't want to lose you again.." I said

" okay...can I use your shower?" she asked shyly

" of course go for it..." I watched her nod and she slowly walked to my bathroom I put my face in my hands feeling my heartbreak I pulled myself together and put on shorts and a tank top I needed to clear my head and distract myself I left the room leaving her to have her privacy.

Lil's Pov

It hurt. my heart was in my stomach. I wanted him but I couldn't ignore the fact that just because he saved me didn't mean I was going to be his, though every part of me missed his touch and his gentleness towards me, stepping out of his shirt I turned the water on and got in and that's when I broke down, I felt the tears slowly fall down my face where his hand had once been, I stayed in the shower for a good 45 minutes collecting myself and preparing myself for the day.

I got out of the shower and found some leggings, a tank top, and a sweatshirt I quickly dressed and blow dried my hair, putting it in a ponytail, I found my way down to the kitchen to my joy was empty except for a note:

smiling to myself I made some bacon and an omelet it smelt amazing I sat down to eat when I heard the door open looking up there he was, his hair was a mess but he still managed to look handsome, he had his earbuds in and he looked like he had been running but his eyes were on me. Jade.

" Hey," he said heading to the kitchen I nodded my head in his direction and started eating for some reason feeling self-conscious, He placed a glass of orange juice in front of me

" thank you," I said before taking a drink

" don't mention it, so I've been thinking...and feel free to turn this down but would you wanna I don't know go see a movie?" he said biting his lower lip which was super sexy I seen the look of worry on his face that I would turn down his offer

" sure sounds like fun," I said smiling slightly which earned a huge smile from him god he's gorgeous

" great! I gotta do a bit of Alpha work but how about tonight 7?" he asked scratching the back of his head nervously

" yea I'd like that but only if you shower" I laughed a little which made his smile widen

" you gotta deal" he said winking and he ran upstairs to shower
