《My Mute Mate》Ch.4

I got home and walked in. I threw my backpack on the ground and sat on the couch. I know I should be making their snack, but I really don't care anymore. I face the door and it slams open, revealing a VERY mad Alpha with my very mad brother behind him. I don't care.
She deserved it.
"What do you mean she deserved it?" My brother yells at me. "The only person who deserves to get beaten up is you!" I wince as he says you, so much venom was in it. As if he hated the fact I breathed the same air as him. Or anybody for that matter.
"No! You are supposed to protect me! You are my brother and are supposed to help me when everyone else kicks me down! But instead you were the one to sell me into this nightmare I call life now! But I am sick and tired of it, Leo! I'm beaten anyway so why even try? I am your flesh and blood so I would expect a little bit of kindness from you, but nooo. You care more about your reputation and girls than your own sister!
I hate you. Do you even know what you do to me? I tried to end my life after the first you beat me, and kept trying! I would still try now if I hadn't run out of pills. I can't physically hurt myself, you do that already! After what you've done to me, I wish I wasn't born! I know you hate me, so why can't you just ignore me?
You guys have almost killed me multiple times, and it was mostly you! So I would go up to my room, bawling, and praying for death to come! I qould leave forever but I can't do that to you!

You're my brother and even though I hate you I still care about you, because newsflash, most siblings actually care about eachother! I couldn't ever leave you! That's why the Moon Goddess won't let me die! Mom and Dad would be disgusted by what you've done." I rant with as much venom I can muster. He had literal steam coming out of his ears.
"You are just ungrateful for all that I've done for yo-" He starts but I cut him off.
"All you've done for me?! You've never helped me! I did the cooking, the cleaning, and I got beaten! I was bullied and rarely fed, I've barely even got a room! You didn't do anything for me!" I spit, getting in his face. "So I don't ever want to hear you say that again, because you've never helped me! And honestly? I don't need you. So just shut your trap and leave me alone." I scream at him, not feeling any better after than before.
"Well I've got news for you! You're not even my real sister, so why should I care about you?! Mom and Dad made me promise not to say it, but here you go, you're adopted!" He semi shouts with a smirk.
"W-what?" I stutter.
"Yep! Your real family didn't even want an ugly liar like you! you were abandoned. Now its time for me to teach you a lesson." He says and his claws enlongate. I step backwards and ram into the alpha and he hold my arms down. My brother comes to me and stares off into space for a minute and I know he's being linked.
"Alphas orders." He says then slices my throat.

Macabre Mim
*Note: This story is on hiatus. I intend to pick it up again, but the mood of my life has shifted for the time being and I'm going to be working on a side project for a bit.* What would you give to live the life of your dreams? What kind of deal would you make? And when you were there, forced to stare your dreams in the eye and live them every day, how long would it be... before they broke you? Author's note: This is my first excursion outside the realm of villain fan fiction and I welcome feedback. The thing I've loved most about RRL so far is the potential for writing to be an interactive experience with excited readers. That said, also, the primary genre this is intended for is the blossoming realm of LitRPG. Namely, a slice of life tale in the manner of Grimgar or Re:Zero. So, likewise, I don't expect there will ever be a clear beginning-middle-and-end type of pattern to this story. It will likewise always be a bit more of a reactionary, exploratory novel into realms unknown - much like the 1800 travel-novel theme used by Jules Verne. Or, at least, that is my ambition.

(Any and every tag marked may or may not be true. Second time writing a story on this site, My first one would be [Frontier Online], so check that out if you want to. New Escape
In a world not that unlike the present exists a fantastic technology to transfer one's consciousness into a game. A new frontier for video games has been opened, and my first experience in this world is an rpg. An escape from monotony and school has led me to experience a brand new world.(I originally lost my motivation for this story and kinda wanted to kill it, but I brought it into this world so I will fix it. I'll probably re-write the first chapters and include a more compelling story. Didn't really write the story for people to read in the first place and after I put it on here I stopped caring, but I am changed!(not too much but just a little))

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
