I woke up to the sun shining through my blinds. I sighed because today was my turn to go grocery shopping for my mom. I got up and put some Jean shorts on and a cute blue top. I tied my red converse on my feet and ran downstairs I threw my hair up into a messy bun then grabbed the money left on the counter. I grabbed my bike and started petaling to the store. Once I got there I saw Mouth, Data, Chunk, and Brand. The whole Goonie crew but the girls weren't there and if the boys were there Mikey was there. I parked my bike and threw my bag over my shoulder and that's when Mouth noticed me. Mouth was a total flirt now because he thinks he is all this and that but he really is not yet he is still an okay guy.

"Hey Brookie how you doing today?"

He asked totally flirtatious. I ignored him and kept walking towards the door.

"I told you not to call me that"

I said. I heard all the boys start laughing at his failed attempt to flirt with me. I went straight to getting the stuff on the small list my mom left with the money.

Groceries:

Eggs

Bread

Milk

Butter

I quickly grabbed everything then I still needed butter. I made my way to that isle trying to remember what kind of butter my mom always bought.

"Well what a coincidence I bump into you here"

I heard Mikey say from behind me. I finally saw the butter and grabbed it.

"Yeah a coincidence you see someone you know in a town store"

I said mocking him and turning to go pay.

"Haha funny but I mean running into the same girl I thought was pretty cool last night"

He said now mocking me. I rolled my eyes as I paid the nice cashier.

"What's so cool about me all I did was watch the sunset and swim"

I said. He chuckled.

"Yeah but I got to know you a little bit and I want to learn more about you so when your done here you should come hang out with me and The Goonies"

He said. I smiled.

"That would be great but I have to get back home and drop these off"

I said.

"How about I ride with you home you drop these off and then come hang out with us"

He said grabbing my bag. I smiled.

"Thanks but my brother would kill you if he saw you"

I said taking back the bag.

"I'm not giving up just so you know, meet me back here once your done me and the boys will stay here and wait"

He said. I smiled.

"I can't get out of this one can I?"

I asked. He smiled proud.

"Nope"

I laughed walking out the store with him.

"Fine I will be back in a bit"

I said putting my bag in the basket and riding back to my house. I heard the boys laughing at Mouth again.

"Dude you so lost your game Mikey can pick up a girl now and you can't"

I heard someone say as I pedaled out of sight. I laughed at all of them. Maybe hanging out with them will be fun. I dropped my bike in the drive way and ran up the stairs to the house. I put the groceries away and started running back outside but my brother Jake stopped me.

"Where are you going?"

He asked. I looked at his blue eyes that were nothing like my hazel ones.

"I'm going to spend the rest of the day with some friends"

I answered.

"No boys right?"

He asked concerned. I laughed.

"No boys"

I said mocking him. He chuckled and kissed my cheek and I gave him a quick hug.

"I love you for wanting to keep me safe but sooner or later I'm going to get a boyfriend and your going to have to trust me I won't let him do anything to me. I'm not that kind of girl if he even tries to touch me like that I will dump his sorry butt. So trust me and let me be on my own now. I'm thirteen you had your first girlfriend at eleven"

I said to him. He looked at me.

"Boys are different"

He said.

"I know but girls are more responsible so you should trust me"

I said to him. He smiled.

"If you ever do he is coming to me for an inspection"

He said. I sat down on the stairs and patted for him to sit next to me.

"If you want someone to inspect I can tell you the guy that I think likes me"

I said to him just to calm him down. He smiled a devious smile to get to know my secret.

"Your best friend Brands little brother Mikey"

I said. He smiled at the sound of Brands name. Him and Brand were pretty good buddies in school they hung out a lot but Jake never brought me along.

"That's a pretty good crush"

He said. I blushed a deep red.

"He is not a crush I just think he likes me"

I said standing up. He smiled and laughed.

"You like him I can tell"

He said to me before walking back inside. My blush turned a deeper red and I ran to get on my bike again. I rode all the way back to the store. All the boys were waiting. I saw them all giving Mikey looks and elbowing him. He smiled and you could see all of his braces. I smiled as he took a puff of his inhaler as I pulled up. Brand came up to me.

"Hey I'm Brand it's nice to meet you"

Brand said coming up to me and shaking my hand.

"Nice to meet you too"

I said. He smiled.

"You look sorta like someone I know"

He said. I laughed to myself.

"Who?"

I said in a sorta try me voice.

"Jake Smith"

He said. I smiled.

"That's my brother I'm Brooklyn Smith"

I said. He smiled.

"Well then it really is nice to meet you since your brother never takes you anywhere"

He said.

"Yeah I know I had to tell him I'm hanging out with a bunch of girlfriends just so he would let me leave the house"

He started laughing.

"That's Jake for ya"

He said. I smiled at his statement. I looked at the other boys.

"Hi I'm Chunk and your really pretty"

Chunk said coming up to me. I laughed.

"Hi Chunk"

I said. He smiled and went back over to the boys.

"I'm Data"

Data said. I smiled at his trench coat with all the inventions hanging from it.

"Nice to meet ya Mr. Gadget"

I said shaking his hand. He smiled at the nickname I gave him. Then there was Mouth. He came over and wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"I'm sure you know me baby girl"

He said. I pushed his arm off.

"Yeah your the creep that won't stop talking to me in math class"

I said. The boys chuckled.

"Who you calling creep baby?"

He said backing up.

"Oh whatever Mouth"

I said. He started laughing now.

"Nice to see ya Brooke"

He said. I smiled.

"Wow you actually do know my name"

I said. He chuckled.

"What I thought Brookie was a cute nickname"

He said putting his hands up in surrender.

"Yeah I don't like it"

I said. He smiled.

"Alright but I'm going to find you a new nickname by the end of the day"

He said. I rolled my eyes and we all hopped on our bikes and headed for Mikey's place. Once we got inside they all did what I was assuming the usual. Brand sat in the chair and used some stretching thingy to work out. Chunk went for the chips on the table. Mouth fixed his hair in the reflection of him in the fish tank and Mikey fed the fish. Data sat down on the arm rest of the couch and opened one of the magazines so I just decided to sit on the couch.

"So what do you guys want to do today?"

Chunk asked with chips in his mouth. Ew.

"We can go visit Sloth with the girls"

Brand suggested. Mikey made a face at him.

"What?!"

He asked in surrender.

"You just want some alone time with Andy so you can suck faces"

Mouth said. I laughed.

"Hey I'm sure that's what you want with Stef"

Brand shot back. Mouth stood up.

"Don't you dare mess with me and my woman"

He said. Brand laughed.

"Don't mess with me and my woman besides you haven't even asked Stef out yet"

Brand shot back. Mouth rolled his eyes.

"I will soon"

He said. The boys broke out laughing.

"Yeah like next year"

Data said. Mouth threw his comb at him and Data caught it throwing it back hitting Mouth in the side of the face. He grumbled and went back to fixing his hair. I laughed at them. Mikey came and sat down next to me.

"Ok so are we going to see Sloth with the girls or what?"

He asked. The boys all agreed and Brand went to call Andy and Stef was probably with her anyways. Andy liked me we were close friends but not as close as her and Stef. Mouth looked at Mikey looking at me.

"Aha I caught on you want to go see Sloth too so you can hang out with Bryn"

He said.

"Bryn?"

Me and Mikey questioned in unison.

"That's your new nickname"

He stated smoothly. I guess it was okay.

"Okay fine with me"

I said.

"But I'm right aren't I?"

Mouth said. Mikey rolled his eyes at him.

"Shut up Mouth"

He stated then took another huff of his inhaler. I giggled at their relationship. Brand came back out into the living room.

"The girls said they will meet us there in five"

He said.

"Ok"

He got from the crowd.

"Where is Sloth anyways?"

I asked.

"We keep him in the old restaurant because there wasn't enough room at my place"

Chunk said as we all ran out the door. We hopped on our bikes and made our way to the old restaurant. The girls were already there waiting. Brand went up to Andy and greeted her with a kiss.

"Shame shame we know your name"

Data and Chunk said. Brand rolled his eyes.

"Do you guys have to say that every time?"

He asked. The boys laughed and went back to their own thing. I saw Mouth go up to Stef and wrap his arm around her shoulders.

"So Stef"

Was all I heard before he walked her inside. Everyone had made their way inside and me and Mikey stood outside.

"You ready?"

He asked. I sighed.

"I guess"

I said. He smiled and interlocked his fingers with mine.

"Cmon it will be fun"

He said. I smiled and he pulled me inside. I saw everyone hugging this creature. I smiled at all the hugs and smiles they were a family and I was the third wheel again. I looked at Mikey.

"I'm sorry I just I'm in the way you guys don't need me here I will go home"

I said letting go of his hand and heading for the door. He grabbed my hand and spun me back.

"You are not a tag along we want you here. Once you meet Sloth you are going to become an official Goonie"

He said. I smiled.

"Not really I didn't find One Eyed Willies treasure"

I said. He gave me a look that I some what can't describe.

"I know you didn't find any treasure but your my treasure I found and that's enough to call you a Goonie"

He said. I blushed and he went to go introduce me to Sloth.

"Hi Sloth"

Mikey said to him. He smiled.

"Hi M-Mikey"

He said.

"Sloth this is our new friend Brooklyn she is a new member of The Goonies"

He smiled.

"H-Hi Brooklyn"

He said hugging me. I hugged back.

"Hi"

I said. He smiled again and I thought it was cute. Any and Stef then came over to me.

"Hey Brooke"

Andy said.

"Hi Andy"

I said. She smiled and gave me a hug then Stef did the same.

"How you doing Brooke?"

Stef asked.

"Good how about you?"

I asked.

"Great"

She replied. Andy grabbed my hands and pulled me off to the side.

"I thought you were with Finley?"

She said. I sighed. Finley was some stupid jock at school that had a giant crush on me.

"That perv hell no"

I answered. She giggled.

"Good because Mikey is way better then him"

She said.

"Hey no one said I was with Mikey"

I said. She laughed.

"Look at the way he looks at you now go get that"

She said pushing me. I stumbled and Mikey caught me.

"Can't walk on your own two feet huh?"

He said. I rolled my eyes at him. I turned to Andy giving her a glare and she just replied with a smile and a thumbs up. I realized I was still holding Mikey's shoulders and his on my waist even though I was upright and able to stand now.

"I guess not"

I said to him. He smiled at me.

"Sloth really liked you"

He said.

"Really how can you tell?"

I asked. He smiled at me again that sent a tingly feeling all throughout my body.

"When you have been a Goonie for as long as I have you can just tell"

I smiled at him then looked outside. It was almost dark.

"Oh no"

I said.

"What's wrong?"

He asked.

"My brother it's almost dark he is going to kill me"

I said collecting my stuff. I waved to him and was about to walk out the door but he stopped me again.

"Will I see you tomorrow?"

He asked. I smiled at him.

"I don't know"

He frowned. I kissed his cheek.

"Well duh dummy we have school tomorrow"

I said as a deep blush crept upon his cheeks.

"Bye"

I said walking out.

"Bye be safe"

He yelled back before I hopped on my bike and took off. I was just in time when I got home so my brother just let me go to bed but I couldn't get the question of why I kissed Mikey's cheek out of my head but I wanted to replay it over and over again at somehow it felt so right.
