"𝐇𝐔𝐇? 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐃?" Y/n asked sitting up on the bed and scratching her head. She was laying down on Five's bed while he was stitching up his hand which was also shot.
"You were shot so...mom did a surgery on you, but you didn't regain your consciousness until...well, now." He explained putting the bandages on his hands. Then he went to get dressed up with his uniform.
"Well, I can see that you had a not-so-different fate too." She referred to his wound and got up from the bed. But she immediately collapsed on the ground touching her side and gasping for air.
Five hard the thud and dropped everything he was doing as he ran to her and helped her stand up. "Woah, Woah, you can't get out of bed right now, you're seriously injured."
But Y/n didn't want to believe him. "I'm fine. We have some unfinished business with the eye and-"
"I can take care of that myself, ok?" Five interrupted her and helped her get back on the bed to sit on the edge of it.
"No, no it's not ok!" She said getting up from the bed once again. "I'm coming with you. Done. End of story."
Five just stood up from the bed and sighed. He knew that arguing with her was pointless. "All right, fine. But promise me you will be careful, ok?"
"Sure, whatever." She rolled her eyes.
The girl went to get her blazer as Five put on the remaining of his clothes too. Then he put Delores and some other stuff in a duffel bag.
"What? Am I not enough for the company? You have to drag my best friend too?" She replied in a sarcastic tone.
"I need her for...emotional support. Okay?" He replied with his hands on his sides in the air.
"Ok, sure."
Five was standing in the middle of the room looking back and forth at the door and window trying to decide on something.
"What is it?" Y/n asked confused.
"I don't want to go out through the main door because we might have some interactions but I don't know if you can-"
"Trust me, I can do everything. Let's just get going." She interrupted him and walked up to the window to open it.
"Ok, if you say so. But let me go first." Five reasoned and shoved Y/n slightly to the side of the window.
"Ok, fine." She rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips to wait for him to get down first.
Five started going down the stairs and Y/n followed him soon enough. But, of course, Klaus was in the way again. He was in the dumpster throwing trash bags and other stuff trying to find something important.
"Damn it, where's dad's stuff?" He complained looking everywhere.
"Can we go see a movie or something? Or the ocean?" Ben suggested. He was sitting above Klaus on the staircase.
"Shut up! I'm trying to find whatever priceless crap was in that priceless box so that Pogo will get off my ass!" Klaus yelled in frustration.
While Five and Y/n were going down the ladder. Y/n was taking very careful taking the steps and not paying attention to Klaus's yelling and the fact that someone was with him while Five kept looking back at her now and then to make sure she was ok.

"I'd ask what you're up to, Klaus, but then it occurred to me...I don't care." He said stopping climbing down and then continuing.
"Hey, you don't have to lash out at people just because you're mad at the world." Y/n came to Klaus's defense to which Klaus laughed a bit. But Five just rolled his eyes at that comment.
"Hey! You know you should listen to her sometimes... by the way, you know there are easier ways out of the house, guys?" Klaus laughed looking at them.
"This one involved the least amount of talking." Five jumped off the ladder. "Or so I thought." Y/n was just behind him and he wanted to help her get off by touching her hips and helping her get down, but she just brushed them off and jumped herself. So Five just chuckled, not being offended, just surprised by her ego.
"Hey, hey, hey, so..." Klaus came to the corner of the dumpster. "You need any more company today? I could, uh...clear my schedule." He drank out of his flask.
"Thanks, Klaus, but we need to-"
"Looks like you've got your hands full." Five interrupted Y/n and smiled sarcastically.
"Jesus, he really needs to learn to let a person finish a sentence..." Y/n thought and rolled her eyes.
"Oh, this? No, no. I can do this whenever. I'm just-" Klaus suddenly fell into the dumpster backwards. Five just watched annoyed while Y/n grinned happily.
"I just misplaced something. That's all." He then stuck his head out of the dumpster and pulled out a doughnut. "Oh! Found it! Thank god!" He sighed heavily in fake relief. And then took the bite out of the doughnut.
He tried to hide the disgust but it was clearly obvious. "Delicious." He gulped loudly.
"We're done funding your drug habit. Come on, let's go, Y/n." He started walking away. So Y/n ran after him before waving her hand slightly at Klaus.
"Come on! You don't-maybe I just wanna hang out with my brother and sister. No, not you." He said to Ben who was sitting beside him on the wall of the dumpster. "Mis hermanos!" He yelled at them. "I love you! Even if you can't love yourself!"
Five and Y/n saw a man leaving his van behind so they took the chance to steal it. Five hopped in the driver's seat while Y/n hopped in the passenger seat.
Five started driving terribly, turning sharp corners everywhere. "Jesus, you really have no clue on how to drive huh?" Y/n asked sarcastically as she hung on for dear life.
"My driving is the least important thing right now, dear Y/n." He smiled.
"Where are we going now?"
"To the place where everything about the eye started. Again."

𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐘/𝐍 𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄 sitting in the van looking at the same building where they were before with Klaus to get some information of the eye unsuccessfully. Y/n was trying to concentrate and try not to fall asleep or something while Five just stared at the sights.
Then they saw the man, doctor Lance, walking inside the building with some coffees in his hands looking kind of suspicious since he was looking around like someone was following him. Which was kind of true.
Five was looking at the building so focused but so was Y/n. She then broke her gaze and looked down at the duffel bag that was between them.
"Five, you forgot Delores, you idiot." Y/n sighed opening the zipper.

"Oh, shit." Five turned to her and helped her Delores out of the bag."Hey." He sighed."Sorry, you were in there for so long, Delores."
"Yeah, shame on you that you can't even take care of my best friend like a sane human being." Y/n looked away rolling her eyes and crossing her arms on her chest.
Five sat Delores upwards so she was sitting between the two.
"No, we're not drunk. We're working." He looked over at Y/n but she just sighed and looked at Delores.
"Yes, it's about the eye thing. This is the place it was made. Or...will be made." Y/n explained for Delores and Five nodded slightly.
"Yeah, we just have to wait."

"𝐖𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎 𝐃𝐎 something else, Five. This is useless."Y/n stated. It has been some time since they started watching everything.
But Five just ignored her. He looked at the kids that were outside, their voice's echoing. Then all of the sudden, it started...snowing?
No, it wasn't really snow, it had just been those little white dust you see at a fire. But then Five shifted with his memory back to the apocalypse. He remembered how he and Y/n were looking around everywhere trying to find something.
Y/n kept on trying to break his gaze by nudging him, but then Luther interrupted her by yelling Five's name. Five finally broke his gaze and Luther hopped inside the van.
Y/n just scootched over to be in the middle of them while Luther was in her passenger seat moving Delores in the process.
"What are you two..." He was murmuring trying to get inside the car and sit down. "You ok?" He looked at the pair.
"Luther, what are you doing here? You shouldn't be here and...how did you find us?" Y/n asked confused.
"Hey, baby." They heard Klaus at the back of the van. Turns out he was hugging Delores and flirting with her.
"Hey, a little privacy, guys. We're really hitting it off back there." Klaus stated.
"Klaus!" Y/n yelled in frustration. She took the mannequin out of his hands but Five was about to throw a can at Klaus so that he would let Delores go, but Y/n already did that so he hit her in the head.
"Get out! You can't be here! We're in the middle of something." Five yelled completely ignoring the fact that he just hurt Y/n.
"Yeah, I'm fine, thanks for asking." She said sarcastically but Five at that just sighed heavily as Y/n put Delores in the corner of the van.
Then Y/n came up so that she would be in the middle again but Klaus was almost on top of her so she pushed him a little bit.
"Any luck finding your one-eyed man?" Klaus asked.
"No!" Five and Y/n whispered at the same time together.
"What's he talkin' about?" Luther looked at Five and pointed to Klaus.
"Does it matter? It's Klaus." Five sighed.
"What do you want from us, Luther?" Y/n asked wanting to end this whole thing as soon as possible.
"So, Grace may have had something to do with dad's death. So I need the two of you to come back to the academy. All right? It's important." Luther glanced at Y/n and back at Five.
"Yeah, "It's important"." Y/n laughed softly under her breath.
"You have no concept of what's important." Five said through gritted teeth.
"Hey! Did I ever tell you guys about the time I waxed my ass with chocolate pudding?" Klaus laughed hysterically while the others just looked at him with disgust and confusion. "It was so painful."
"What are you still doing here?" Luther asked obviously annoyed.
"Ay, ay, ay..." Y/n muttered looking down.
"What? I-What? I need an excuse to hang out with my family?" Klaus put his hand on his chest dramatically.
"We're trying to have a serious conversation." Luther pointed to the pair.
"What, and I'm incapable of being serious? Is that what you're saying?" Klaus looked at Luther and at Y/n for support but she just shrugged.
"Luther's got a point, you should get out." Five glared at Klaus.
Y/n just looked at Five with a look that said "Ok, you didn't have to be so harsh"
"What?" Klaus yelled looking at Five in disbelief. He looked back and forward to the three of them, but everyone just stayed silent.
"Fine!" Klaus got out of the van and slammed the door walking over to a store.
"What the hell are you two up to?" Luther asked.
"Believe me, you wouldn't understand." Five stated.
"Try me. Last time I checked, I'm still the leader of this family." Luther proudly said and looked away.
Y/n just scoffed at that. "Well, last time we checked, we're 28 years older than you. And if we're comparing ourselves y the level of maturity, you would be at the bottom of everyone." She smiled sarcastically with her chin on her palm. Five looked at her with a proud smile, kind of like a grin, and back at Luther.
"You know what your problem is?" He glared at Y/n and Five.
"Really hoping you'll tell us." Five smirked at Luther. Y/n just looked back at Luther from Five to see what he will say to that.
"You two think you're better than us." Luther glared at Five. "You always have. Even when we were kids."
Five just sighed in frustration wanting to lash out but he contained himself.
"But the truth is, you're just as messed up as the rest of us." Luther looked at Y/n but she just glared at him. "We're all you two have. And you know it."
"We don't think we're better than you, number one. We know we are." Five glared evilly at Luther. But he just chuckled. " We have done unimaginable things, things you couldn't even comprehend."
"Right." Luther sarcastically agreed rolling his eyes.
"Just to get back here and save you all." Y/n said silently under her breath. Five just looked at her and to the ground sighing in agreement.
But then Klaus ran out of the store carrying stolen items and whooing while a security man from the shop was yelling at him to stop.
"Hey, bitches!" Klaus laughed when he was running in the street while the three of them watched him.
"You! Get back here!" The security guard kept yelling.
Klaus was running and didn't look where he was going so a car almost ran him over but stopped at the perfect time.
"Out of the way, asshole!" He bumped into the car and fell down on the ground.
Luther, Y/n, and Five just stared at Klaus while he was getting arrested.
"I'm starting to wonder if that was the wisest decision." Five said sarcastically.
Y/n tilted her head and fake sighed. "Well, seeing the aftermath, no."

A Virtual Invasion
An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
