《Fateful Encounter (Fumikage Tokoyami x Reader)》Vengeance

You awaken to your alarm on your phone and begin preparing for your second day of high school. When you're ready, you leave your house and begin the brief walk to UA. You text your best friend about what happened yesterday and she replies with 22 smiley-face, kissy-face, and heart emojis. You roll your eyes and text her that it wasn't a big deal; you just played a video game, after all. She says that because you admitted your love for each other and hung out at your place, you're now boyfriend and girlfriend. Your conversation continues:
(You): Wtf?? No we didnt even say anything like that, ur being crazy
(f/n): Nuh-uh! He loooooooooooooves you (heart emoji)
(You): Maybe but were not bf/gf, okay? Were just friends who maybe sorta like each other
(f/n): Nope your bf/gf!! (kissy-face)(kissy-face)(kissy-face)
(You): Nooo just friends! Friends play video games
(f/n): And tell each other they r in luv?
(You):(...)
(You): No
(f/n): Thogt so
(f/n): I mean thought
(You): Whatever, see u at shcool
(You): I meant school
(f/n): Ik ttyl
(You): Ttyl bye
And with that, you turned off your cellphone and continued strolling to school. That is, until you heard something really weird. It sounded like someone was hitting someone else, but you couldn't quite tell what it was. You crept into a dark alley where the noise was coming from. You gasped in horror when you saw Fumikage Tokoyami laying on the ground, bloody and gasping for air. His attacker looked familiar to you. That's when it hit you - the man who tried to steal your purse a few days ago had come back for revenge. The man was striking Fumikage with a wooden bat repeatedly, and you could tell that Fumikage had already been through a lot by the time you found him. You had to do something to rescue him, but what could you do? You couldn't even save yourself from that cruel man. That's when you noticed how bright the alley was - the man was illuminating it somehow, which must have made Fumikage's Dark Shadow unable to fight. You look over to see where the light is emanating from and see another individual who is glowing immensely. You quickly drain their energy, and their light dims briskly. Seeing your opportunity, you dash over and, with the energy you absorbed, knock out the man with one swift blow to the back of the head. The person who illuminated Fumikage sprinted away, but they didn't matter to you right now. You run to Fumikage, who is too weak to even sit up.

"Oh my gosh! Fumikage, are you alright??" He tries to reply, but the only thing that escapes his mouth are drops of blood. You look down the alley towards UA and notice a teacher welcoming students at the entrance. You pick Fumikage up and carry him to the teacher, explaining what had happened as the two of you rush Fumikage to the nurse's office.
School has begun and everyone is talking about the incident. Not a lot of students witnessed you carrying a severely injured Fumikage to the nurse's office, but the few who did gossiped enough for the word to spread to everyone in Class 1A. Your classmates keep pestering you with questions, but all you can think about is Fumikage. When school begins, Mr. Aizawa informs the class that Fumikage will not be attending school today and you volunteer to take notes for him. You grab an extra notebook from your bag and begin class, writing notes for Fumikage and yourself.
By the time class is over, your hand is painfully cramped from writing so much. Your friend tries to approach you just as you head out for the nurse's office. She follows you the whole way and stands outside the room. You notice her, say "hello", inform her that you'll tell her the details later, and enter the room. Fumikage is sitting up on the bed, awakening from a nightmare. You rush to his side to comfort him. After you calm him down, you ask if he's feeling better. He gives a gentle, tired nod before laying back down. The nurse, who goes by Recovery Girl, informs you that he needs to rest and that it would be best if you take your leave. Fumikage, however, requests that you sing him a song to help him get to sleep. You nod and ask him what he wants you to sing.

"Just... something sweet... and soft... like a lullaby," he replies. You decide to sing him the song that your mother sang for you every night before bed, after your father had read you a story. He drifts to sleep as you sing gently and melodically. You leave, as per Recovery Girl's request, and meet your friend on your way out. You tell her what happened, and she asks if Fumikage will be okay. You let her know that Recovery Girl said that he'll be fine, but if you hadn't gotten to him when you did, he could have had serious injuries.
"OMG," your friend exclaims. "That must have been so scary. Did you get hurt, too?"
You reply, "No, but that was super scary. For a moment, I thought we were both goners. I'm just glad that everything worked out alright in the end. I can't believe that nut would go to such lengths just to get back at Fumikage. It's a good thing that creep finally got caught. I hope he never leaves a jail cell." You clench your teeth and tighten your fists in anger and disgust. You can't imagine why anyone would do such an awful thing.
"(y/n)..." your friend trails off. "You really like him, don't you?"
"Is that ALL you got from that?!" you scream furiously.
"Well, sorta. I mean, I get that you were scared, but you care about him soooo much. It's, like, super obvious."
"Super obvious? How?"
"You keep going on about how you're so upset over that weirdo hurting Fumikage. You don't really talk much about your own feelings or anything else, honestly. You just can't stop worrying about Fumikage, which is fine! I'm just saying... It's pretty clear how torn up you are."
"...That's probably because... I was terrified when Fumikage got hurt. I've never felt so scared before in my entire life! I just... I really love him, you know?"
You hear a quiet gasp from someone behind you. You whip around and gaze upon Fumikage, who had overheard your entire conversation.
"You... love me?" he utters.
"...Well, yeah. A lot." You smile at him as a tear forms in the corner of his eye. You spout, "Are you okay? Are your wounds hurting again? What's wrong? Please, what's-"
"-I... love you too... (y/n)." He grins somewhat shyly and reaches out to hold your hand. You let him, and squeeze his hand gently as you, Fumikage, and your friend, who is screaming mentally, exit the school. Today was crazy, you think to yourself, but I'm so glad that we confessed our true feelings!

Summon Imp!
Travel with a newly born demon as he grows and learns in his own world as well as in other worlds as he gets summoned again and again. Usually to die or kill for others in strange and exciting places, but it's never certain what the next one will bring. It has its perks. With each new world comes a new story with new experiences and new lessons. There is always more to see, more to learn and more to know. Maybe, someday, it will all make sense. For now he will just work hard to become stronger, to be useful and, hopefully, survive that way. A coming-of-age story, but different. Things start to slow down to a crawl. Colors blur into one another until my vision is completely white. All I can think is "Shit, not this again!" I hate being summoned. _________________________________ updates once a week until I get more time The idea for this story began in two places. One was the ridiculously rapid pace of gaining power in many novels. Both in games and in novels, I enjoy the struggle of the beginning character, why always the rush? The other was the way many monster or non-human MCs always seem to hurry to become human (again). It always felt like a cheap way to grant the character extra powers without the difficulty of writing a non-standard thought process. Thus I wanted to write the slow(ish) progression of a monster character gaining strength and intelligence, while remaining distinctly non-human. There are no stats, xp or systems, no reincarnated soul or completely formed being to start with - unless I want to make fun of those. While the MC 'evolves', the process takes months if not years to proceed step by little step. Sit down with me and imagine, what would it be like if...

Heart of the Dungeon
A lazy, wingless, blabbermouth of an imp, smearing goat’s blood all over the crystal – that is the unpleasant view this new Heart wakes up to. “I’m your Prime!” the imp says. The Heart reluctantly agrees. In an unknown world, filled with dangers, it needs every help it can get – even if said help is not…optimal. The Heart tries its best to succeed, even after being tricked by shrewd traders and having less than useful minions. Rival races settle in the Dungeon, causing even more headaches. The heroes, as they call themselves, sets their aim on the ‘new and defenseless’ Dungeon. The heroes are always lurking in the shadows – well actually, they are standing in the open, under the sun, hiding nothing – but either way, their evil intentions, no matter how they claim to justify them, only cause needless death. “Am I really that precious? Must you hunt me so fiercely? Why are you doing this to me?” The Heart does not understand their motives. Perhaps its lack of understanding has something to do with the fact the Heart has no physical limits nor material needs. Why take it from someone, when you can simply will it forth? Just pay for it with mana rent! To make things worse, the real dangers are not from above, nor from below, but from within…
