he and the others of his classmates were now pro hero's

first being stupid Deku that he refused to stop trying to overthrow him

2nd was him but hopefully not for long

3rd was icy hot which he always held over his head but continued to fight so he would never take his place

4th was tokoyami fumikage

a name he would never forget

in the beginning, he didn't pay much attention to the raven head

but as time went on and their quirks began to grow, so did feelings for one another

the two would spar together in the moonlight, bakugo felt some pity due to the quirk disadvantage

this followed onto sharing secrets, days out and they're first ever kiss

it didn't matter he had a beak, it was still amazing

but then hero work got in the way

the two soon became too busy and distant

he could still remember the last words they shared

"This isn't going to work" bakugo stated as he began to break up with his partner

"Only because you're not willing to put in the effort" tokoyami yelled in hurt

"We need to focus on our hero work" bakugo tried to reason

"there's more to life than work!" tokoyami stated in pain

we shared a heated silence before we burst into tears

"it seems like we want different things" tokoyami sighed, curling into himself

"I never wanted to hurt you" bakugo cried as he walked closer

"yet you are" tokoyami bluntly stated making the blond halt in his steps

"I'll never love anyone as much as you" bakugo admitted, vowing to live with this hurt for the rest of his life

"Please don't, I want you to move on when you finally figure out that life is much more than your work" tokoyami finished, placing a kiss on bakugo's cheek and walked away

and that was the last time they saw one another

"kacchan?" the reporter's voice asked bringing the pro hero out of his thoughts

he remembered the question

and he knew exactly how to answer it

"I had a very special person in my life, he was the salt of the earth and the darkness to my day-terrors, but I was too consumed to realise that I needed him even to this day, and I hope he found someone else to love and that one very special person will never make the same mistake I had done so many years ago"

and with that he walked away, hoping his feathered love was hearing his confession and hope that he would one day forgive him
