Mei had been trying to find a candidate to try out her new baby all-day 

but no-one in her class wanted to 

apparently, they didn't trust her invention for some reason 

sighing in annoyance she decided to give up and go to her room to finish her other projects 

that was before a figure happened to pass by

someone new

someone who hasn't said no yet 

someone who she actually recognised that helped her in the sports festival

and someone who may be able to help her out once again

"hello tokoyami, could I possibly take a few moments of your time," Mei asked determinedly

"umm, ok" tokoyami agreed, surprised that Mei who seemed so wrapped in her thoughts suddenly starting talking to him

"I'm testing out a new and amazing invention but I need someone to test it out, could you help me out please," Mei said, though near the end she was practically begging the raven 

tokoyami was someone who was always there to help out 

and right now it was no different 

"ok" tokoyami simply said 

Mei's eyes practically turned into stars as she grabbed his hand and ran to her lab, tokoyami barely being able to keep up 

as they reached the lab she explained what she needed tokoyami to do 

there in the centre was a phone box-like machine which he was told to go in whilst he had to wear a helmet like contraption 

"ready?" Mei asked as she closed him inside 

"I have some questions," tokoyami said nervously 

but Mei was too excited as she pressed a button to start 

a jolt and many rumbling noises began to enter the air 

it was all going well before warning signs began to flash on her screen 

"oh no" Mei exclaimed before the machine exploded 

she was just able to hide behind a table before a large explosion set of, covering the air in smoke and destroying many of the objects in the room 

"tokoyami!" she cried as she rushed to the machine, worried about what happened to the raven head 

as she grabbed the door of the machine it began to crumble to the floor 

revealing a confused but luckily unscathed tokoyami still wearing the helmet 

"oh thank god" she sighed in relief whilst giving the raven a hug 

"What happened ?" tokoyami asked in shock, looking around the damaged room 

but before she could say anything a sudden teachers Aizawa and president mic entered the room in a flash

"What happened in here?!" mic asked in shock, fear but also interest

"technical difficulties" Mei laughed sheepishly 

the two students were taken to recovery girl to be checked on 

luckily the two were uninjured but the teachers and Mei saw something quite different in tokoyami 

he would spout out random but correct facts about things around him

"what was that machine supposed to do exactly?" Aizawa asked the inventor, but never took his eyes off his raven headed student 

"just a simple brain booster, for when you want to pull an all-nighter and you just need a bit more oomph" Mei admitted 

Aizawa shook his head 

"you should never do anything to affect your body, and never take short cuts, the only way you will ever succeed in life is put your all into it" Aizawa proclaimed

Mei was put into detention for a week 

and tokoyami was to always be in someone's company in case the side effects of the machine got more troublesome then heightened intelligence 

"our life is a lie" tokoyami stated 

this made all his classmates stare at him in surprise

"tokobro, we know your whole prince of darkness is a part of you, but it's not all dark and gloom," Denki said sadly looking like he wanted to hug the raven

"no, I mean our lives are simply a combination of animation, voice acting and design" tokoyami said, sitting up from lying down on the couch 

"what are you saying toko?" ochaco asked sacredly

"We are in an anime called my hero academia created by Kōhei Horikoshi that started in 2014, our world follows the story follows Midoriya who was born without superpowers in a world where they have become commonplace, but who still dreams of becoming a hero himself. He is scouted by All Might, Japan's greatest hero, who shares his Quirk with Midoriya after recognizing his potential, and later helps to enrol him in a prestigious high school for heroes in training" tokoyami explained 

the other students simply blinked 

tokoyami was holding his head now as he began to hyperventilate 

"someone gets Aizawa!" shoji shouted as he went to comfort his best friend who was holding himself tightly 

"no, that is simply the world that our lives are based upon, that is the inspiration for this world fake, the non-cannon world we live in" tokoyami continued

"we're living in a fanfiction created by a girl who calls herself amazingmagicgames12 on Wattpad, she is the person writing our lives and has caused me to-

tokoyami was about to say before a cloud of magical random dust began to float from the ceiling and onto tokoyami's head, instantly making him fall asleep 

"what is going on?!" iida cried 

meanwhile in the real world 

"they will forget all that has happened and even if they were to remember the truth of their world, I will have the power to stop them," she said evilly as she continued to type
