while overhaul awaited the appearance of his little brother 

he thought to himself what the two could do together 

they were unable to simply roam the halls of the Shie Hissikai building anymore 

with it now being destroyed and them retreating to a backup base in the forest 

he had just managed to escape after the fight with that deku kid and away from the League of villains who wished to kill him

not that he wanted to 

he preferred treating his baby brother to a full day out where he could spoil him 

Kai doesn't value humans

he views people as pawns for their utilitarian value and being willing to experiment on them to accomplish his objectives

He carries this sentiment even towards the other members of the organization he has dedicating himself to since childhood, treating them as expendable sacrifices for his well-being and having no qualms in killing them off for the smallest mistakes

but tokoyami was different

he was his blood, even if their father was different they came from the same womb 

the one exception to the rest of the world

the only human that he felt comfort in 

he shared his ideas of quirks, and even though he was cursed like his older brother 

he used his quirk to better the world 

while he kept up the appearance of a U.A student that wishes to become a hero 

the child was a medical and psychosocial prodigy

able to create serums that would benefit the world to rid it of quirks once and for all

as well as getting anyone he meets to trust him 

bringing more desperate filth with somewhat disgustingly effective quirks that will better the cause 

even at the age of 4 when his disgusting quirk began to form he was able to lure people in 

it wasn't that his brother was disgusting, it was just his quirk 

once the two rid the world of them, they would get rid of their quirks to create perfect harmony

"Chisake" a familiar voice called out 

his little brother, fumikage tokoyami was making his way up to meet him 

everything looked the same appearance-wise to the rest of his worlds except for longer feathers that flowed almost as tall as his big brother 

this was a way he wouldn't be recognised as easily to the public 

"ah fumikage, you finally decided to come" overhaul joked

fumikage stopped just outside his comfort zone, knowing his brother was the biggest germaphobe in the world and did not wish to make him uncomfortable 

that was one of the reasons they were going out 

because Chisake was unable to hug his brother he instead treated his brothers to days out 

buying whatever the little raven decided 

"so, how is the drug coming along?" overhaul asked as the two passed an ice cream van in the park 

clean fresh air and since the park was empty meant fewer opportunities for them to be recognised 

overhaul hiding behind a tree as tokoyami bought himself an ice cream with his big brother's money 

they always started small 

"It is coming along well, Eri still believes I'm treating her wounds, which I am, I'm no liar, but I do take what I need to finish the drugs" tokoyami explained 

since eri was the granddaughter of the Shie Hassaikai's boss with a rare type of quirk that enabled them to make the world a better place kai simply felt obligated to treat her with as little kindness he was able to find in his heart 

meanwhile, tokoyami had been able to build trust with the little girl, he was never the one to cut her open, in her eyes he was the only one that really cared for her, the only one who asked her how she was doing physically, mentally and emotionally, being the only one there to help her develop her social and intellectual development 

tokoyami had been with her so long that he actually cared for the brat and visa versa, believing the raven was also being held hostage due to his worth at the Hassaikai's operation

when Eri had seen tokoyami again in U.A she instantly clung onto him 

tokoyami had instructed her not to say what their relationship was because he said he wished for neither of them to remember what happened to them 

to which the little girl understood and never mentioned their connection to anyone 

these small things his little brother was able to accomplish, even with being so young, amazing overhaul 

proud to share the same blood as one another 

and the main reason why the masks are worn by his closest subordinates and himself were the representation of a birds beak 

it was to show how important tokoyami was to him 

the only other person he'd ever want to share the same air as him 

the first and only person he'd want at his side 

he loved his brother in his own way 

and god forbid if anything ever happened to him

he wouldn't be afraid to get his hands dirty
