tokoyami didn't know how his life had gotten this bad

ridiculed at birth

sold as a slave as a child

the title slave was turned into a sacrifice as an early teenager

and now his arms were tied around a cold metal pipe in a dark, mouldy basement

waiting for his death as a laughing maniac drew a pentagram on the floor ready to summon the devils from hell

if his life had been different he might have felt petrified, horrified, possibly even wanting to beg and plead for freedom

but all he felt was..curiosity

if this was a way to go, he had to admit, he was excited to see how it would happen

a red light began to glow from the stars circle

and from the enticing light show

a figure began to emerge

but it wasn't what tokoyami had expected to see

other than two intricate, jester-like horns, who's ingraves seemed to flow with luminescent green electricity

blood-stained teeth that continued to drip

and green lizard-like eyes that also glowed

the rest of her seemed to be human-like

her body and skin (other than the occasional scale) seemed to reflect the averageness of a teenage girl

fluffy green hair flowed down to her neck

and a pair of cute little freckles were dotted triangularly on her cheeks

tokoyami had to shake his head out of these frazzled thoughts

she wore an elegant black and green robe that intertwined with green thorns

it was gold compared to his tattered and torn black pants and shirt, which barely covered his body due to all the holes

tokoyami continued to stare in wonder at the demon out of her realm

her glowing green eyes meeting his bloody red orbs

and for a quick moment, he swore he could see a red glow on her cheeks

"demon, I have summoned you to get revenge on a loved one that has betrayed me so, and as payment, I have brought you a sacrifice for your-" the crazed other man began to spout before the demon shushed him with a finger to his lips

"How sweet of you" the demon began before his lips began to smoke and fizzle

the man tried to scream in agony as his lips began to disintegrate before the devil punched the guy so hard in the stomach, causing a hole to form and his organs to fly across the room

"But I don't do the bidding of cowards who try to sacrifice the lives of others instead of their own" she declared as the corpse with a hole toppled to the ground

(Woah) tokoyami thought to himself in amazement

the demon wafted her hand to get rid of the blood like it was like filth

"hmm, so your my sacrifice," the demon said to the bird-headed boy, still tied up and muzzled

"well he at least knows what a girl wants" midoriya smirked as she reached to remove the muzzle

so what's your name birdy?" she asked as tokoyami regained mobility of his beak

"t, tokoyami" tokoyami answered

he was never given a name, but everyone had one, so the first sentence he read in a book he saw one of his masters read was the deciding of his identity

"wow, such a dark and brooding voice, for someone so tiny" the demon chuckled

both small in height and in weight, he had always been, both due to his nature and nurture, still didn't mean he liked it being pointed out

"Why do you keep stating out my height, your I'm just as tall as you" tokoyami questioned as the demon came closer, eye to eye

"snrk, you got guts mortal, are you not afraid of me, a literal demon from hell who won't hesitate to kill?" she asked menacingly, baring her teeth threateningly

but tokoyami simply stared at her with an unamused/deadpanned face

"your an angel compared to the evils I have faced through my life on earth" he stated

but this seemed to be exactly what the demon wanted as her lips made contact with the bird's beak

tokoyami's eyes went wide in shock, he had been expecting to die, not get..what was the word..kissed?...he had never done this before

but that was beside the point

whatever was happening, it was happening with a literal demon

"that negativity, that demon essence inside of you, it's intoxicating, and yet, there's this innocence that makes me want to protect everything about you" the demon whispered as their lips parted way

"..who are you?" tokoyami questioned as he gathered flushed feelings and regained his voice

"izuku midoriya, demon queen of power and might, and now, your biggest fan" the newly named midoriya smiled as she used her razor claws to cut her new mate from the ropes binds

the two shared one more embrace before entering the void where the demon had emerged, and where the raven would be able to live his life with the new sensation of happiness and love

20 years had passed

tokoyami was no longer the person he once was

he was now a stronger and confident man, a man that hell had gifted mortality, glowing red eyes and fangs, and a demon essence inside of him that would be able to protect him, his beautiful strong wife that sat by his side, and their expected pride and joy ready to give more happiness to their lives and misery to others
