italicized is them speaking in german :)
"i think you like him." leon's german accent bellowed out as he nudged you. leon was your older brother by 2 years. you had just moved in with him from cologne, germany for a job. your english had been pretty average. you took an english class in school, though your accent was still very prominent.
"i don't like him leon. i haven't even met him." you groaned. you had made the mistake of telling leon that you thought his teammate was cute.
"well, that'll change tonight." leon smirked. they had a edmonton oilers party that leon wanted you to be his plus one at. of course, being the wonderful sister you are, you agreed to go with him.
"speaking of the party, i need to go get ready, as do you. you take too long." you said walking off. you didn't like to dress up. dresses weren't your thing, neither were heels. you were more of a hoodie and running shoes kinda girl. today was not one of those cases, you had to bust out the heels and a dress. you decided on
you applied a minimum amount of makeup and did your hair. when you went out into the living room, you saw leon messing with his hair in the mirror.
"leo, we are going to be late." you spoke quickly.
you guys got into the car and played music on the ride there. when you guys arrived, you got out of the car.
"you look good, baby sis." leon hyped. you laughed and spun around.
"you too." you said.
you began to walk in and right before you and leon walked in he said,
"can't wait for my sister to meet her future husband."

you looked at him with a crazy expression.
"yeah right." you said and walked in the building. everyone in the room were mingling and holding drinks. you felt very out of place, you didn't know anyone. good opportunity to meet new friends in edmonton i guess.
leon had been taking you around the room, meeting players and their significant others. what you really wanted was a drink, but that wasn't really accessible right now.
"i haven't seen mcdavid yet." leon said, his eyes skimming around the room. on cue, a voice rang out from behind the draisaitl's,
"hey leon." you span around and identified the voice with the face, connor mcdavid. you could just see leon's smirking face in your head. his eyes met yours. his hand immediately shot out with a smile,
"i'm connor mcdavid."
"y/n draisaitl." you said with the strongest your german accent has ever been. must be nervous. you smiled.
"yes. this is my sister. she's 21." leon said. connor nodded.
"do you want to go get a drink?" he said looking at you.
"um yeah. that would be nice." you said.
"i'll be over there." leon said, pointing to a group of players conversing. you nodded and followed connor to the bar. you and connor grabbed two seats at the end of the bar. the bartender came over.
"i'll have a cosmo. thanks." you said. the bartender walked off to make the drinks that you and connor ordered.
"so what are you in edmonton for?" connor asked.
"i'm here for a job. i like canada a bit better than cologne, germany so i decided to come here to settle down." you said. connor nodded.
"what do you do for a living?" he asked. "sorry that's probably a lot of questions."

you shook your head.
"i am a lawyer." connor nodded looking quite interested. they continued to converse. you had talked through 4 drinks.
"um i forget the word. i'm sorry." your face began to heat up in embarrassment. you knew the word in german, but not in english.
"don't be sorry. i think it's cute." connor said. you blushed.
"y/n?" connor asked. you looked into connor's eyes, signaling him to continue. "i don't know if you think this is too soon. will you go on a date with me?"
"connor, are you drunk?" you asked stunned.
"no, of course not. i'm being serious."
"i would love to go on a date with you." you said smiling.
"how'd it go, my baby sister?" leon asked. you smiled.
"well, he asked me on a date." leon looked stunned.
"you are going to marry that boy. you have too much in common." leon said.
"let's not get ahead of ourselves leo."
"mark my words y/n, you will marry him."
"you may kiss the bride." the priest finished. the dirty blonde, brown eyed man you chose to marry leaned in and kissed you.
"mrs. mcdavid has a nice ring to it." connor whispered. you smiled and nodded.
"i love you, my husband."
"i love you, my beautiful wife."
leon knows best.

Soul of the Warrior
In a world where Classes, Stats, and Levels are the everyday norm, Reivyn has a secret. He was unusually aware of his surroundings from an incredibly early age, and Skills and Stats were acquired easily. He was just the son of an ordinary village family, and nothing appeared out of the ordinary on the surface. But below the surface, dreams of another life help shape his mentality and growth. Why does he have some remembrance of a past life, and what is his purpose in this new one? "Soul of the Warrior" is what I call a Semi-Isekai LitRPG. I say "semi," because Reivyn's past life is remembered like a dream, and very incomplete. It is still Isekai, though, as he remembers enough that it directly shapes his personality and his sense of self. The System that governs the world of "Soul of the Warrior" is a combination of modified versions from Selkie's "Beneath the Dragoneye Moons" and Kosnik4's "Magic Smithing." I have changed enough of these Systems and combined them in a way that is unique that I'm mostly sure it's fine, but I still have requested permission to use these ideas. They have both graciously granted me permission. Winner of the April Writathon Challenge. Release Schedule is Mon, Wed, Fri on Royal Road.

As Michael digs through the code of the virus, he discovers more about its origins but each answer only brings more questions and he begins to wonder if it's not a virus, but a message. Who sent this signal? Where did it come from? What does all of it mean? What has begun? Was this signal a warning of some kind? In a world of unrest, one can only hope that the message was not received too late... This story has indirect interactivity to it. The data's origins and the characters' approach to the signal are all based on real life interactions and how people would approach such a situation. I, Mor-eldal: The Necromancer Thief
As a budding little necromancer, I soon discovered that the world of city people is complicated. When my master kicked me out of the cave, he warned me not to talk about my “dark” magic, because people here don't like the undead. I am not really an undead, I just have a skeleton hand, but it is better to be careful. Anyway, that's not my biggest worry. In the Black Dagger brotherhood, I learn a lot of things, such as illusionist magic, which turns out to be quite handy to survive in this maze of streets: in the Cat Quarter, we have thugs of all kinds that are best avoided. But we also have good people, goodhearted “gwaks”, as we say around here. Little did I know that I would soon be caught up in an infamous traffic that would entangle my life even more. With a mix of lighthearted adventure and picaresque, this story narrates the hectic life of a good-spirited street child and his companions in a medieval urban fantasy setting with some nineteenth-century influences. Updates Mondays and Fridays. This is a Creative Commons By work. It is a translation of a trilogy I wrote in Spanish between 2017 and 2018.
