"where are you, my love?" robert softly called through your apartment.
you almost dropped the empty pill container that was in your hands.
robert has been your boyfriend for a few months now and the two of you had a routine that once a week you guys would have some sort of date if that was possible. whether it was dinner or a movie at home, it didn't matter.
there were few things that you didn't feel comfortable telling robert and your depression was one of them. you had finally accepted that it was just a part of you, but you were worried that robert would see it as a setback and maybe even break up with you.
your schedule had been getting busier and busier over the past few weeks. the previous monday when you opened the drawer in your bathroom to take your meds and there only sat an empty bottle, you knew it was going to back one hell of a week. you tried to mentally note that you needed to get that filled as soon as possible, but with your busy university schedule, those plans fell through very quickly.
you could feel yourself falling into a hole. it was horrible. you felt like doing nothing, but laying on your couch or in your bed and watching tv.
robert has been getting worried. you hadn't been answering as fast as usual and sometimes not at all. if there were answers, they were extremely short. you had turned down a movie night with cuddles which was something you would never do. you had been growing scarily distant and robert was worried you were going to break up with him.
that was why robert was at your apartment right now while you were crying and holding a pill container, hoping that your depression meds would mysteriously reappear.

"y/n honey, please where are you?" you could hear robert's soft voice.
you closed your eyes and had the tears leave your eyes. you quickly wiped them off your face and splashed cold water on your face.
"y/n?" he knocked quietly on the bathroom door.
you sighed and opened the door, putting a fake smile on your face.
"hi robert." you said softly, refusing to make eye contact with him.
though there was a smile, robert could see right through the fake emotion on your face. your cheeks were rosy and tearstained and your eyes were puffy and glossy.
"honey buns, have you been crying?" he asked, gently kissing your hand.
you closed your eyes to try and suppress the tears that were flooding back into your eyes.
"hey hey, don't cry it's okay. i've got you."
he brought you to the couch and you collapsed into him. he pulled you close into his body and rubbed his hand up and down your back.
when all robert could hear was sniffles, he leaned close into your ear, "what's wrong?"
you shook your head.
"that's okay if you don't want to tell me, but i can't help you if i don't know what's wrong."
you played with the bottom hem of his shirt still refusing to make any sort of eye contact with him.
"you know it's okay if you want to break up with me. i get it." robert let his insecurities slip out.
you froze, stiff as a board.
he thought you wanted to break up with him?
you finally brought up the strength to look into his eyes.
"i would never break up with you." you said quietly.
"oh i just thought that's why you were being really distant and" he began to ramble.

you shook your head and took a deep breath.
"i should've told you this sooner because now i just feel like a selfish asshole. robert, i have depression and i've been having setbacks these past weeks because i ran out of meds and haven't had the energy to go pick them up." you explained to him.
"oh love." he hugged you even closer, "you don't have to be afraid to tell me stuff like that. i'm here to endlessly support you and help you just like you do for me."
"thank you so much bubba." you kissed his forehead.
"is your prescription sitting at the pharmacy?" robert asked.
you nodded.
"here, i'll go get it really quickly and some snacks and then i'll be back and we can watch a movie. how does that sound?"
"that sounds great." you shined a small smile.
"you pick the movie and i'll be back in 5 minutes. you can time me." robert smiled.
"timer started, thomas."
he smiled and ran off as fast as he could.

In their continual expansion, they seeded galaxies with pods and connection satellites. Over time they upgraded their dyson spheres into matryoshka brain Cores. Imagine a computer powered by a star. Citizens of Cores no longer age once they upload their minds into the virtual living system of the Core. While they didn’t age, most still choose to cycle through life and death though at a different scale of time compared to our lives. Falling from Earth
He won. He defeated Fate. He took his life into his own hands, the only way he knew how. He killed himself. ......................... He cheated. Fate cheated too. He didnt die. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm a amateur writer. English is my first language. I appreciate it when people point out grammar issues. I also appreciate constructive critiques. I'm writing this mostly because I've read so many novels on here that i feel that I should give back to the community. Will be at least a chapter a week. Every Friday. I keep a buffer of 3 chapters, so if i get on a roll and write more chapters, there will be more updates. My chapters will be at least 3000 words, prologue excluded. I'm shooting for more like 6000 words a chapter, mostly because i never like how small the chapters are in most novels on here. Not enough MEAT. Oh and comments that touch my heart get me excited to write. Just figured that out.
