"yes kirb, i'll be at your game tonight." you said into the phone, "i'm so excited kirby."
"my teammates are excited to meet you. some more than others."
you didn't even have to see kirby to see the big smirk he had on his face.
you and kirby dach had grown up together. you had been best friends ever since you had played hockey together at age 4.
now, you were still best friends, but had gone on separate career paths. kirby was a professional hockey player and you were a very successful actress.
you had heard your name countless amounts of times when people were asked about their celebrity crush, including hockey players. it was no secret that you were utterly beautiful as well.
it was a blessing that your schedule worked out and you could watch kirby and the blackhawks play your home team of edmonton. you were visiting your parents and it just so happened that the blackhawks were coming into town as well.
growing up, the edmonton oilers were always you and kirby's favorite team, but now that he was on the blackhawks you had to like both.
"yeah i'll see you later kirb."
"i'll see you later y/n. bye!" he said.
"bye."
you hung up the phone and began to get ready. you knew that a lot of kirby's local family and friends would be at this game.
you put on your dach jersey that kirby had shipped to you when he first began to play in the nhl. you had been so proud of him when you found out. you called him as soon as you could.
you and your parents drove to rogers place. you remembered when you and kirby used to come here when you were kids to watch the oilers play. happy times.
you got your tickets and ventured up to the box that was reserved for all of kirby's friends and family. the front office had handed you a locker room pass with your name on it. you were confused, but reckoned kirby had this all planned out.

you felt your phone vibrate in your pocket.
kirb: the locker room pass is for you to come and meet the team after the game. you don't have to, but they really wanted to meet you.
you smiled at the text and quickly typed an answer back.
y/n/n: i'm sure i'll come and make an appearance ;)
y/n/n: good luck! play good.
you had never cheered so loud in your life. the box was as loud as could be when kirby touched the ice.
not even all the cheering couldn't help the blackhawks fate from the talented oilers. the game ended with an edmonton win, yet everyone was so excited and proud of kirby.
you felt your phone go off once more.
kirb: i forgot you were famous, so they sent up a few security guards that will take you down here.
you chuckled and shook your head.
almost on cue, a man and a woman walked in with staff shirts on. they accompanied you down to the dressing rooms.
you quickly showed the guards down there your security pass and they let you through. kirby met you outside the room.
"oh my god y/n, it's been too long." he said, pulling you into a hug.
"i missed you kirbs. it has been too long." you said into his suit jacket.
"i missed you too y/n/n, but you're a celebrity now." kirby smirked.
you hit him lightly, "shut up kirb." you said laughing.
kirby shrugged, "some of my teammates have crushes on you. it's weird. kinda gross."
"to be straight up with you kirby, i might have a crush on one of your teammates too." you smirked.
kirby gasped dramatically, "oh my god, who?" he exclaimed.
"i'll never tell, but let's go meet them." you pushed him towards the locker room.
"i'll figure it out." kirby said, determinedly.
kirby brought you into the locker room. thankfully all of the boys were all fully dressed into their suits.

you could see a few of the boys stare at you with wide eyes. you chuckled to yourself.
"oh so you weren't kidding?" adam boqvist asked with surprise present in his voice.
you laughed as kirby began to talk, "no man. i told you i wasn't lying."
slowly everyone made their rounds to meet you. almost everyone had came over, but the person you wanted to. you could tell a few of them were trying to hit on you, but it didn't really faze you at all. it was actually quite humorous to you.
you had a huge crush on dylan strome ever since he was drafted in 2015. somehow you had kept that a secret from kirby for a long time.
when you tried to spot dylan in the room, you saw him having a conversation with alex debrincat. you made eye contact with both of them and shot them a smile. you could have sworn that dylan was beginning to blush, but he quickly turned away.
kirby whispered in your ear, "stromer is a little shy. he has quite the dandy crush on you. he could probably tell you almost every movie you've been in."
you looked over at him surprised, "really? so you think i should go talk to him?"
kirby chuckled, "yes. he might shit his pants."
"alright. i'll be back then." you waved, walking off.
on the inside, you were absolutely jumping around. hearing what kirby had just said had been a huge heart racer.
you made it over to alex and dylan.
"hey guys. i haven't seen you around yet. i'm y/n y/l/n." you introduced yourself.
"alex debrincat and this is my friend dylan strome." alex said with a big smile.
you smiled towards dylan and he gave you back a very timid one back.
"nice to meet you guys." you said.
"oh i think kirby is waving me over. dylan, talk to y/n, would you?" alex said.
before dylan could even answer, alex was out of there.
dylan's foot was tapping nervously on the ground.
"i really like the suit you have on. it makes you look very handsome." you said with a flirty smile.
"thank you. you look really beautiful tonight." he complimented.
you couldn't help but blush.
"so i actually think you're really cute dylan and i was wondering if you wanted to like, grab dinner sometime or something?" you asked bravely.
dylan smiled, "yeah. that would be really cool."
"mind if i grab your number then?" you held your phone out to dylan.
he put his number into your phone and handed it back to you.
"i'll text you then and we can arrange something then." you smiled.
"absolutely. i'm excited." dylan said.
kirby walked over.
"y/n, we gotta go. i kinda forgot i have a whole room of family here. my bad." he said.
"oh shit yeah. sorry dylan. i'm sure i'll see you soon." you said, pushing kirby forward.
dylan nodded with a smile. you waved to the whole room of hockey players and they waved back.
you and kirby began to walk back up to the box.
"so, did you like my teammates?" kirby asked.
"well considering i have a date with one of them, yes, but they were actually all really cool." you said.
"you sneaky bitch." kirby joked with a laugh, "who?"
you laughed, "you'll see when the paparazzi photos come out." you rolled your eyes.
