you had heard a little rumor that some of the toronto maple leafs players were going to be at the philly game tonight. you happened to play for philly and toronto happened to be the team you guys played in 3 days.

you found that to be true when you looked into the crowd and saw a little group of leafs in their seats.

you had definitely decided that you wanted to put on a show tonight when you saw your upcoming opponents in the crowd.

"look it up there tk. got the enemy here." you said.

travis laughed and shook his head, "must be bored."

you chuckled and the game began.

you realized that they were probably watching because you were playing a game against pittsburgh and the rivalry between the two

teams was always entertaining.

just like you had wanted to, you put on a show and that show was 2 goals, 2 assists, and a fight.

you bounced into the locker room as happy as you could be. the room erupted with cheers and you got hugs for people.

"kimmy is going to get a girlfriend." some of the boys taunted, using your nickname.

you made a nasty face, "who?" you asked.

"jvr got a text from his old teammate that happens to be here tonight. he wants your number." claude told you.

"and who on the leafs would that be?" you asked james.

"auston matthews." james said.

"really?" you responded.

jvr nodded.

your eyebrows raised.

you actually thought that auston was quite attractive on top of him being a exceptionally good hockey player.

"he wants to meet you tonight." jvr said to you.

you shrugged, "yeah tell him i'll meet him at that pasta place downtown. i'm craving some pasta, so it's a two-for-one." you said.

your teammates eyes widened, "are you serious?" they asked.

"yeah why not? i think he's cute and i'll give him a chance." you shrugged.

"i texted him and he said it was a plan." jvr told you.

you got your outfit that you came to the rink in back on and waved to your teammates, "i have a date to get to boys." you winked.

you drove your car to the pasta restaurant that you were mentioning and found auston matthews waiting in the lobby for you.

"hey i'm auston." he smiled.

"kim." you introduced yourself.

"so what brings you to the game tonight?" you asked him curiously.

"well you guys have a fun rivalry going on there and just scoping out the opponent. we had nothing else to do." auston chuckled.

you shrugged and chuckled, "that's fair enough."

there was a few seconds of comfortable silence before auston spoke up.

"honestly i didn't think that you would agree to this." he admitted.

you chuckled as you sipped your drink, "i mean why not? you're pretty cute." you said with a light smile.

auston blushed lightly and smiled, "that's good because i think you're pretty cute too."

you smiled, "well then the feeling is mutual."

the rest of the night was spent getting to know auston. from what his favorite color was to what his family consisted of, you found out a lot about him. you ended up liking him even more than when you got there and that was a good sign.

"i really enjoyed this." auston smiled at you.

"well it doesn't have to end." you suggested.

"what do you have in mind?" auston asked you.

"there's an ice cream shop down the street that is so damn good." you raved.

auston chuckled at your excitement, "sounds good to me. i can't say no to ice cream." he said.

you and auston walked down to the ice cream shop. you playfully joked about auston's order which was horribly basic.

you sat down at a corner table in the cute little place to eat your ice cream.

you saw auston staring at you. you looked over at him with a curious look on your face.

"why are you looking at me like that?" you asked with a chuckle.

"you have some ice cream right here." auston said and pointed to his own lips to show you where it was.

before you could move a hand auston said, "i got it." and moved his lips to meet yours.

when he pulled away a cheeky smile filled his face, "i got it." he said.

you chuckled and smiled, "you're ridiculous. you're lucky you're cute."
