you were getting dressed for your soccer game. your team was in the championships and you were trying to get very much into the zone.
you were scrolling through your phone when you saw jesperi's instagram story. he was back in finland and really close to where you were playing.
it took everything in you not to text him and invite him to the game.
you missed jesperi. you two used to be best friends when you were younger because of your families, but ever since jesperi went to canada you guys just lost contact.
you resisted your temptations and set your phone down to talk to some of your teammates.
you and the team ran onto the field and got into your positions. your eyes quickly scanned the crowd and were disappointed with no jesperi.
the game began and you certainly had succeeded in zoning into the game. you were on the ball constantly.
you set up your teammate for a goal before scoring one yourself.
you ended up being the one to score the game winner.
you and your team were so happy to have the championship that you had been chasing after for the whole year.
when you picked up the trophy that was given to the team, your eyes locked onto a proud looking jesperi.
your breath hitched gently and you handed the trophy off to one of your teammates before sprinting over to jesperi.
"good game." he said with a smile and wrapped his arms around you.
you couldn't say anything. all you did was take in the fact that he was actually here.
"what are you doing here jesperi?" you asked.
"heard my bestfriend was playing in a championship game and decided i had to be the best fan ever." jesperi said to you.

you smiled and hugged him again.
"i missed you so much." jesperi admitted.
"so did i kk." you whispered.
"promise to never not talk to each other for that long again. it was painful. i want to see you more often." he told you.
you nodded in agreement, "yeah i think we need to visit and talk more often." you chuckled.
jesperi smiled at you and nodded, "yeah, yeah we do." he agreed.
the pure giddiness that was on both of your faces was ridiculous.
"my parents and your parents are here too." jesperi said and pointed farther away.
they all waved and smiled at you.
"well then let's go say hi to everyone." you said.
you and jesperi walked over to your families together and mingled for a while before they left.
"jesperi, we have to go do something and catch up. i want to hear about your superstar life over in montréal" you smiled.
"well let's go to that little restaurant close to here. you know the one that we always used to go to when we were kids?" jesperi suggested.
you nodded, "of course i remember it. we did so much stupid shit there. we'll have to see if it's even still there anymore." you chuckled.
you put an arm around jesperi's waist and began to walk with him.
"well cmon then, i want to hear about this luxury life of your's" you smiled.
jesperi shook his head, "come to montréal and see yourself y/n."
you grinned, "well i will have to eventually. i want to come watch in real life."
"then come to canada with me when i go back, you can stay for a month or so." jesperi said.
you shrugged with a gentle smile, "i'll have to think about it, but it's probably a yes."
and just like that, even with all the years apart, you and jesperi jumped right back to where you left.
