"This is a terrible idea" Bad muttered while they sneakily made their way behind the prison walls "Do you have a better one?" Abby bit back angrily, shutting him up.

"We are going to get caught for this, you know that right?" she sighed "It's fine, once Angela and Drista are out Skeppy will summon us, hopefully that will be before the void decides to kill us" she shivered a bit at the thought, placing several fireworks around a secluded area, near a small swamp.

The plan was to ignite the fireworks to set the trees on fire so to catch the guard's attention, the noise would have warned Angela that something was wrong, and hopefully make her leave the prison soon.

"Ready?" he nodded "Let's light up the sky!" as soon as she ignited the fuse, the two ducked behind a nearby rock and covered their ears, preparing themselves for the loud series of explosions that were about to happen, since they lit up about twenty fireworks.

"Your excellency!!" a demon shouted, barging in the room where the three elder demons where currently discussing some important matter "How dare you interrupt our meeting! You'll be gravely punished for your actions!" one of them shouted.

"M-m-my deepest a-apologies, but this is a-a matter of t-top priority! Someone has lit up the sky near the p-prison! A fire i-is spreading through the swamp!" he shouted, alarming the trio "Lit up?"

One of them looked outside of the window, seeing the colorful show still on going, he gritted his teeth, knowing full well who the responsible were. He grinned, turning around to face his companions.

"They are here"

Needless to say that Bad's assumption was right, the second the guards spotted them, they were tackled to the ground and captured, Abby tried to fight them off but they were just too many and got soon overpowered.

They were brought into the stronghold and at the feet of the three elders, who were quite pleased to see them, since the void wanted to take his revenge on them himself.

"You know, i thought you were smarter than that Abyzou, you were such a talented demon, shame that you got corrupted by this waste of space" one spat out, glaring at Bad.

"You're the one who are dumb! We don't need to kill people in order to survive! The void is lying to you! He has been lying since forever! Just because he needs us in order to survive!" she growled back, making the elder recoil.

"You could have become a great demon Abyzou" another one said, kneeling down in front of her, smiling maliciously "We know you came here with someone else, we found three robes missing" he took her face, forcing her to look at him "Who did you bring in? Where are they?"

"Like hell i'll tell you!" she shouted back, glaring at him, Bad let out a sad sigh.

"You once were a good man Eret, what happened to you? We used to be friends" Bad said in a sad voice, remembering when they were kids and used to play together, but suddenly one day, out of the blue, Eret decided to distance himself from his friend when their powers started sprouting.

"I never changed Bad, you did. The void talks to me now, i hear his voice in my head constantly, he gave me enlightenment, informations beyond our realm, everything i've ever wanted, the void gave it to me. Back then you asked me to betray him and follow you to the surface world" he chuckled "Did you really expect me to say yes? You're such a fool" Bad expression saddened.

"We are done here, let's bring them to the portal, the void is getting impatient" he ordered. Eret was known to be the one with the strongest connection to the void among the three elder demons, he had received so much informations that his eyes turned from black to white, that's the main reason why he often kept dark glasses on.

They soon reached the black portal, Bad had never seen it before but his first impression screamed only one word.

Fear

The room was completely overrun by black vines and roses, the ones around the portal had several thorns, many of which were bloody or had ripped pieces of cloth on, a memento mori of those who came before them and got consumed by him.

"Throw them in" he ordered.

"Eret you don't have to do this! The void is tricking you! There are other ways!!" Bad shouted, still hoping that he could reason with his childhood friend, but to no avail.

"Your words will not shake my belief and trust into the void, i'm sorry Bad, this is the end for you... goodbye my friend"

They got thrown inside the portal, falling for several seconds before suddenly stopping, floating into the nothingness. They looked around, the portal from where they came from was gone, it was all darkness around them.

They heard a voice resonate in the darkness, soon finding two bright eyes stare at them, they were a sickening black, but still shone with a sinister magic. A magic that shouldn't be used. A forbidden magic.

"S-so you're the void!" Abby said, trying her best to keep her voice even, but it still came out a bit shaky.

"Don't you dare talk about him like that! He's the kindest demon i've ever encountered and the only one who was nice to me when everyone else was scared of my powers!" she shouted back.

"evil ot uoy wolla tonnac i ,hcum oot wonk htob uoy ,won rettam t'nseod tI"

In a matter of seconds the space around them lit up, several blue flames appeared, surrounding them completely. Abby tried to move but she was kept in place by the void stronger magic.

BANG

"Woah! What was that?" Drista straight up jumped when she heard the explosions outside of the prison. Angela immediately stood up and went to investigate, seeing Bad and Abby get captured and taken away.

"Oh no!" she phased back in "We need to go now! My friends will get hurt if we wait any longer" Drista nodded, hesitantly putting on the medallion, turning into a ghost.

"Ok, now stick close and be quiet, remember, they can't hurt you now" she reminded, taking her hand and quickly heading into the molten lava, falling slowly until they both reached the ground level and then phasing through the wall, appearing on the other side in what looked like a smaller cell.

they ran towards the exit, passing several guards, who started chasing them, some did try to hit them with their arrows and magic but luckily for them, the medallion did it's job, and they safely passed through Drista.

"Halt!" they shouted but the duo didn't stop, heading straight towards the summoning portal, it was a five to eight minutes run, if they kept this pace they could make it before the medallion's effect ran out.

"Angela... i can't" Drista panted out after about four minutes, she was clearly out of breath, since she hadn't ran in a long time.

"Hold on just a little longer, we can do it!" she encouraged, keeping on running towards where she remembered the portal was, soon noticing that something was off. The building from where they came out of... it wasn't there anymore.

"What?! But... i-i was sure... where did it... how?!" she said incoherently, not understanding what was going on, that is, until she heard an announcement.

"Attention demons, we have confirmed the presence of two traitors, they brought along an intruder from a different dimension, if you see anything out of the ordinary make sure to report it to the authorities"

"Fuck" Angela took a firm grip on Drista's wrist and ducked behind a narrow alley, soon managing to lose the guard that were chasing them.

"This isn't good, we need to find the way back before the effects runs o-ugh!" she flinched again, feeling a sharp pain in her head, this time it was strong enough to make her lose balance, falling to the ground.

"Angela! What is happening? Are you hurt?"

"I-i don't know... my head.... it hurts...." she clenched her teeth, it felt like something was trying to forcefully make their way inside her mind and her magic was doing everything it could to stop it. I was extremely painful.

After a few minutes the pain went back down to a tolerable level, allowing her to stand again.

"I don't know what is happening to me... but we need to get out before it gets worse... i don't know if i would be able to protect you in this state" she groaned, looking in the direction where the building once was, noticing something peculiar.

The sky, it seemed distorted, like if there was something transparent on it... or actually.... in front of it.

"Of course.... camouflage magic" she sighed, relieved to know that at least their way out didn't move. She placed a hand on the medallion, feeling the magic inside start to vanish, her best guess it would be that it had still around 2-3 minutes left, so they will have to hide somewhere for a bit to allow her to refill it.

"Let's find a good place to hide, come on"
