David: I'm very disappointed in you girls.

Mbali: Siyaxolisa baba (We're sorry father)

Sino: It was not our intention to fall in love.

Mbali: Or to fall pregnant.

David: I get that, but you should've known better, at least I thought my upbringing would remain intact but clearly I did a terrible job in installing values in you girls.

He sighed and made a move to leave the room. Mbali slowly slid down on the bed and covered her face with her hands. The last thing she needed was seeing pain and disappointment in her fathers eyes.

Sino: He'll come around.

Mbali: He won't anytime soon, he questioned the values he taught us Sino. He doubted himself as a parent.

Sino: Yeah, that might have been a last straw. He's a great father.

Mbali: I don't know what to do now, I guess we'll just have to accept the situation right?

Sino went to sit next to Mbali and hugged her from the side. Mbali leaned closer to her.

Sino: Whatever happens, we'll go through it together alright?

Mbali: Alright.

David went to the dining room and sat down at the head of the table. Everyone sat expectedly. Lisa got up.

Lisa: I'll go find the girls.

She said and left a kiss on Snankes cheek. Leaving him grinning like a child. She had that kind of effect on him.

David: Second door on your left nganeyam. (my child)

She nodded and mumbled a thank you before disappearing upstairs.

Snakes got up too, feeling as though this had nothing to do with him.

Snakes: I'll be in my car-

David: Sit.

Snakes looked at the old man and scowled, who's he to command him like that. He stood straight up and fixed his suit.

Snakes: With all due respect, I don't see what any of this has anything to do with me.

David stared at Snakes and sighed when he saw the determination in his eyes.

David: You came here to my house, now you gonna sit and listen to me boy.

Snakes glared at him, Siya and Sanele feeling the tension between the two men.

Snakes: Well I can just leave, old man!

He snarled the old man at him as he held down the staring contest.

Siya: Bafo!

Snakes continued to look at David but sat down anyway. He would do anything for his brothers but if this man here was to disrespect him, in his house or not, he didn't give a fuck. He would show him the same amount of disrespect.

David: Good, glad we cleared that out.

Snakes clenched his jaw. He was ticking and the old man wasn't aware of it or he did and just loved to tick him off.

David: What I want to say is, since the mess has been created, there's no point in dwelling in the past.

He sighed and leaned back on his chair, before continuing

David: My girls are my pride, and I don't like seeing my pride being walked on. So my question is, what are your intentions with my girls?

The boys looked at each other, and sighed. Sanele spoke first.

Sanele: Erm, I love your daughter and I want to marry her.

David: In the future that is?

Sanele: No, as in yesterday.

Everyone looked shocked by this. David doesn't want his daughter getting married at such a young age. Snakes widened his eyes at Sanele, 'ohh she gon flip' he thought to himself.

Sanele: And I would like to pay damages for impregnating your daughter and after I'm paying lobola (African tradition- also known as dowry)

Siya: Yho.

Siya snorted at his brothers bravery. David turned to look at him and he quickly kept a serious face, swallowing, the man was scary somehow.

David: Don't you have something to say young man?

Siya: Uhh-

He cleared his throat and sat straight.

Siya: I've already proposed to your daughter sir and my intentions are also clear. I want to marry her.

David nodded and looked over to Snakes. Snakes raised his eyebrows at him.

Snakes: What?

David ignored his bluntness and continued to ask.

David: What are your intentions with the lady you were with?

Snakes scoffed and leaned back on his chair.

Snakes: Oh wait you seriously?

He said after the long silence. He didn't understand why he needed to clarify his life with a stranger. One that has no value in his life. It seemed that the Ndlovus were all missing a few screws.

Snakes: And why should I tell you that old man?

David: So you don't have any intentions? Cause if so, I have many candidates that would suit such a beautiful young lady.

David smirked. Siya looked over at Sanele and both the men had amused smirks on their faces.

While on the other hand, Snakes was seething with rage.

Snakes: Listen here old man, I don't answer to you about my life and I definitely do not answer to you about my love life.

David smirked and nodded his head, something about Snakes reminded him of his old man. He was straightforward and hated commands.

David: Well then, gentlemen. The next time we meet, we'll be having more company from both sides. Right now, lets have a drink.

Sanele: Calm down bafo.

Siya snorted, remembering when he was laughing at them for going to meet the rents. Now look who has their foot up their ass.

Snakes gave Siya a death glare but Siya smirked at him.

Snakes: Son of-

David: Rose!

David yelled for the maid.
