Sam: Siya-

Siya suddenly put a cloth in the mouth, rolling his eyes at her annoying voice.

Siya: Much better.

He took the electronic saw and switched it on, he walked to Sam, who was shaking her head vigorously and whimpering, Siya had taken the liberty to tire her up. She tried to wiggle out of the tight ropes with no avail.

Siya: Sam, the less you fight, the less I have to be here, please cooperate.

He tilted his head in mock of asking her if she understood. He sighed when she didn't stop. So instead he banged her head and she was out of it.

Siya: I may be heartless Sam, but it's better you don't see me removing your limbs.

He started cutting her knees, the blood oozed from the deep cut, after a few minutes he pulled the leg out and tossed it to the body consuming acid. Then the other as well, when he was done with the legs, he stared at her hands contemplating cutting them, he took off his goggles.

Siya: Oh Sam, I'll let it slide.

He walked out and went straight to one of the spare rooms and showered. Taking out new clothes and changing. He called Muzi and told him to threw Sam at a public hospital entrance. After that he went home to his family, it was getting late.

Snakes: Hey, love.

Lisa: Hey babe.

He kisses her lips and picks her up putting her on his waist. She squeals and throws her head back when he starts kissing her face.

Lisa: Stop it...you such a baby!

Snakes: Oh yeah, who's giggling like a baby right now?

He continues with the teasing and she just laughs. He walks up to the lounge and sits down on the single couch, with Lisa straddling him. She rests her head on his chest.

Snakes: Are you okay?

Lisa: Yeah, I just worry that I won't get into the university I applied to.

Snakes: The one Sino and Mbali go to?

She nods. Snakes keeps quiet for a while, thinking about how he could easily get her accepted to any uni she wants, and he's gonna do just that because for her, he would do anything.

Snakes: Who wouldn't accept this, babe have you seen yourself, you like the smartest person I know.

Lisa smiles in his chest knowing he doesn't know what to say in situations like these, and he's just trying his best to boast her confidence.

Lisa: I love you, you know that?

Snakes: I mean, it's hard to miss, look at you all clingy and cuddly! Omg you like a love sick puppy.

She burst out laughing, she laughed so hard. To him it was music to his ears, being able to cheer her up when she's upset was the best thing he had to do.

After her laughter died out, she shifted in her position sitting sideways and holding on to his neck with her arms.

Lisa: I saw a picture of your mother.

She had been at the study room looking for books, when she snapped her head admiring the study since she never paid much attention to it, and her eyes caught on a particular picture, of a light beautify woman in a nineties attire. She immediately knew who it was by her features which were so familiar to Snakes'. When she saw he wasn't going to answer, she continued.

Lisa: What happened to her?

Snakes: She died when I was 12 years old.

Lisa gasped lightly, he kept his hand on her thigh, brushing it absentmindedly and it seemed to calm him in a way since it was hard talking about his mother or sharing anything about his life to anyone and now he was opening up to her, even though it was hard for him, he knew she was the only person who he felt comfortable enough to vent out to, so he did just that.

Snakes: It was just me and her, against the world. She always made sure we won most of the time, she always made sure to put a little bit of food on the table for us to eat, sometimes she couldn't afford for both of us so she made sure I never went to bed on an empty stomach.

He breathed and pulled Lisa closer to him. She laid back down on his shoulder as she took in his need for comfort.

Snakes: But I never ate, if she didn't have anything I didn't either. She was my everything, I never had friends growing up, I was a more reserved kid, always kept to himself. I would try to work for hours after school, helping with some construction workers, doing minor things like carrying cement and sand with a wheelbarrow. I-i would buy us food with the little money I got.

She saw a tear fall on her bare thigh since she was wearing shorts, he looked up trying to stop them from spilling. She understood and kissed his forehead to ease his heart.

Snakes: Then one day, she- she uhm got really sick, I couldn't understand what was happening so I called the ambulance and she got admitted to a hospital, she got worse and I didn't have money for her treatment, the Drs said she had brain cancer and needed chemotherapy but I didn't have the funds for it.

His face turned ice cold, as he had to remember the terrible things he had to do at a young age.

Snakes: Then a man, he found me somehow and told me to work for him and he'll pay for everything, I agreed but by the time my mom had to go through chemo, she died, her cancer had reached a deadly stage. The man who took me in introduced to his sons, the other one was 14years and the younger one was 12, around my age. I never knew when he took me in and said work for him he meant being in a Mafia, but he never made me kill or do anything extra like that until I was sixteen.

All this time, Lisa was listening to him attentively and she knew about his type of work, he told her after Sino was rescued and she understood, her father was part of a gang when he was alive, but he made sure to keep that life away from her and Snakes had promised the same thing.

Lisa: Where was your father all this time?

Snakes clenched his jaw and tightened his grip on her thigh making her whimper, after realizing what he had done, he panicked and looked at her with guilt.

Snakes: I'm so sorry, sthandwa sami please for-

Lisa: It's okay, I understand its okay.

Snakes: I didn't mean to I swear I just-

She cut him off by kissing him. He kissed her back.

Lisa: It's okay if you don't wanna talk about it.

He shook his head.

Snakes: I want to, I want to talk to you.

Lisa smiled and laid her head back on his shoulder.
