Me and Lisa spent about hours talking about our childhoods, we both had a share of shit that we went through. Thankful that Ntombi, my mother I guess if you could call her that, didn't change my last name, even though it was kinda stupid cause they could've found me, but they didn't so not so stupid. Lisa told me that my name was originally Moana, Dad was coloured but we both got our mothers skin tone but the amount of hair we got was from his genes.
A lot of things made sense after that, how my features were, my curly hair underneath and my sort of like Chinese eyes, okay that doesn't make sense. I even saw a lot of similarities between me and Lisa. What didn't make sense is how was I taken and why? I guess we'll never know now.
Lisa asked if she could call me Moana and I said it's gonna take some time for me to get used to her calling me that, I might just ignore her sometimes when she calls out but I said it was fine and she understood.
We went back inside, Mbali wanted to come but since baby Lungi can't be out as of yet she can't so later we thinking of going to visit her and the baby. After hugging like we'd never see each other again, Lisa and Snakes left a while back. Siya and I got ready for the day with Jade today, we were going on a family date. I still don't know where he's taking us, it better not be McDonald.

MaNkosi: Ngithukuthele kabi (I'm too angry)
Me: Hao, ma ngobani? (Why mother?)
MaNkosi: You people have just abandoned me, you don't visit anymore and you hardly call either.
I went and hugged her but she turned away, I sighed and hugged from behind instead, she's too cute for her age.
Me: Ma, I'm sorry, I promise we've just been busy, from now on, we'll increase our visits and call three times a day, deal?

I peeked to see her expression, she was trying to hide her smile.
MaNkosi: Fine, four times a day then.
I laughed, and kissed her cheek.
Me: Where is my little girl?
MaNkosi: Sleeping, she woke up early this morning, too excited about the date.
That sounds exactly like something Jade would do. Siya came in after his call he had received from the office.
Siya: Ahh, mamzo. (mother)
MaNkosi: Hai fosek. (fuck off)
She said and disappeared to the kitchen, leaving Siya stunned and confused, he looked at me and I just shrugged.
Siya: What got her cranky all of a sudden?
Me: Don't know! Why don't you find out?
I said as I patted his shoulder, also making my way to Jade's room. I swear I heard that man say 'women'. He's so stupid.
I walked in her room, she was sleeping so soundly, sprawled on the bed, she really sleeps weirdly. I sat on her bed and stroked the braids that had fallen on her face. She looks so peaceful and cute, her dads replica just not the skin tone, figured she got that from her mother. She stirred and opened her eyes as if sensing my presence. I smiled down at her.
Jade: Mommy!
She said so enthusiastically while she sat up and rubbed the sleep in her eyes. I kissed her forehead.
Me: Hey baby, did I wake you?
She shook her head with a goofy smile and climbed on my lap, playing with my own set of braids.
Me: Come on, let's get you freshened up for our date.
She squealed and jumped off my lap, running to the bathroom.
Me: No running Jadine!
I scolded at her but a smile graced my face.
She giggled and came back to drag me with, to the bathroom. She eats too much sugar this one. I bathed her and dried her then lotioned her tiny growing body.
Me: So what do you wanna wear today?
She placed a hand on her chin as if thinking.

Jade: It's kinda cold outside, so you choose mommy.
Me: Alright then smart mouth, let's get you warm.
***
We had a wonderful time at the mall, we went to each and every play ground for kids, Jade fell asleep in my lap while we were eating so we had to go back home. God the shops we went to, I swear we had about 30 bags of clothes for each of me and Jade's only. Siya spoke to his mom, and they cool now. After arriving home, I unbuckled Jade from her chair on the backseat and took her inside the house. I laid her on my bed and kissed her forehead then went downstairs to see Siya making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Me: You just ate at the mall!
I plop on the kitchen counter and take a slice of his sandwich chucking it in my mouth, before he swats my hand, I laugh.
Siya: Very mature.
I roll my eyes at him, he stands between my legs with his back at me while eating. I play with his big ass head.
Siya: How was your talk with Lisa?
Me: It was better than I had expected.
Siya: What did you expect?
I sigh and rest my arms around his neck and my chin on his shoulder.
Me: Awkward, but I'm glad it wasn't rather it was interesting and heartwarming.
Siya: Heartwarming alright, y'all had snorts and shit from crying.
He says shaking his head, he brings the sandwich to his mouth but I snatch it and eat it instead.
Siya: What was that for?
Me: I had snorts?
He turns around and runs his hands on my thighs. I raise my eyebrows at him, while chewing his delicious sandwich.
Siya: You turn me on when you get all mad.
I smile and look away, is he serious right now. He starts kissing my collarbone and his hands travel further up. I involuntarily moan when he kisses my sensitive sport. My hands find his head, pulling him close he smirks under my skin, his touch still leaving tingles and butterflies throughout my whole body.
His hands grip my waist and he pulls me close to feel his hard on, I blush and throw my head back when he attacks my neck and goes down to my breasts.
Jade: Daddy, Mommy?
My eyes go wide and I push Siya off, he groans and makes a whiny face like a kid. I turn around my head to see Jade standing at the kitchen door looking bemused and so awake.
I jump off the counter and fix my clothes, apparently Siya finds this amusing as I hear him snickering. I turn and glare at him before walking over to little Jade and crouching on her level and smiling at her.
Jade: What are you guys doing?
Me: Uhh- we were uhm- I was helping your daddy with something that got to his eye.
I side glance at Siya who leans against the fridge with a smirk.
Piss of sh-
Jade: Mommy is daddy okay now?
Me: No, I think he needs to stay separated for a while, he'll sleep on the couch today cause it seems he caught a deadly virus called stupidsyndrome.
I look at him and his mouth his agape, he's sleeping on the couch today to cool off his cockiness.
Siya: Princess, daddy doesn't have any virus and does need to be isolated okay.
Me: Baby, Daddy needs an antivirus for his sickness until then, he'll be away from us.
Siya: What, Sino what's going on now?
Me: Let's get you changed, guess who we visiting today?
Jade: Who?
Me: Aunty Mbali, uncle Sanny and baby Lungi!
She squeals I pick her up and rest her on my hip, I glance at Siya and he looks... Hurt. I don't care right now.
I don't even know why I'm angry, maybe he made me explain to Jade while he stands there smiling like a Greek God he is, stupid him.

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!
