What if the world was different ?

What if happily ever afters,

Were given away so easily ?

Would we feel different ?

What if since the first day we met,

I am yours and you are mine ?

As if the play's all set,

And everything after will be fine.

What if there's no such thing,

As fighting for love ?

Or feeling love's sting ?

Instead, only waiting for a zing.

I guess if love were given so easily,

It's not actually love at all.

For it's more than two people to fall,

But also going for the long haul.

It's fighting for what you believe in :

As well as soaking in all the pain.

It's knowing deeper than the skin,

And cleaning through all the stain.

Love isn't only made up of rainbows,

It's also made up of storms.

Sometimes, rains longer than you expect,

But it can't forever be wrecked.
