You close my eyes,

And I no longer see.

Just the sound of your voice,

Quietly soothing me.

I was a blind girl in love,

A hopeless romantic, they'd say.

Her thoughts in the sky above,

Reality never seems to make way.

Blindly, foolishly, recklessly,

I let you paint hues in my heart.

Convinced that you're my destiny,

And nothing could ever take us apart.

Yet now, here I am again.

Unable to find the poetry,

That can sooth me like the rain,

And write you in my memory.
