《Song For Two (Athanasia × Lucas)》Chapter 10

Pouting, yes I was pouting while we were in front of the principal's office. The news and rumors about the dragon incident were chaotic, Daddy even sent me a letter regarding if I should just leave the academy.
It was like they went insane! "Now then.. Prince-- I mean, Miss Obelia can you explain what you saw that day?" The principal asked me, I gave Lucas a look like should I tell him?
And he just shrugged his shoulders, unbelievable! I took a deep breath and looked directly at our principal's eyes. There's no turning back, I guess.
"Yeah, it was huge to be honest. And if you saw it face to face you would shake right on the spot too. The mana I felt that day that was coming from the Dragon was unbelievable." I said, nodding slowly our principal laid back and asked again.
"So then, base on our interviews you ran off and went with Lucas, why? Is he really the one that killed that dragon?" My eyes widened, are they really looking down on Lucas when he literally saved the whole academy and us?!
"Excuse me, I know this may sound rude but why are you asking that kind of question? Is it really true that you are just making sure that Lucas did beat up that dragon or are you just looking down on him because he is just a mere student of the academy?" I said, I saw how a small smirk appeared on Lucas' face as he shook his head.
"Ah seriously old man, stop talking won't you? Bring in the mages if you don't believe me." He said, the principal quickly called out for the mages.
The three mages were trembling as they continued to bow down their heads beside Lucas, eyebrows furrowing the principal asked again.
"Do you know who Lucas is?" The three nodded, making me giggle a little. They're so scared, I wanted to tell them that they shouldn't be scared. "Then, can you tell me.. do you really think he was the one that killed the dragon?"

"YES!"
"HE DID."
"We're dead meat."
The three men exclaimed making me laugh even louder, I quickly covered my mouth and looked the other way. Gosh Athanasia stop being stupid.
"So what's your answer?" The Principal asked, with a small smirk plastered on his face. Who does he think he is?! Lucas really did—
My eyes widened Lucas stood up, and answered the man. "I did, if you don't believe me, then don't. I don't really care." He said, turning around ready to walk away, the principal answered.
Only adding more fuel to the fire. "Oh dear, why do we have a student such as like you?" Eyes widening, a small gasped escaped my lips.
"Sir you are crossing—" I almost stopped and the mages gasped loudly when Lucas was suddenly in front of the principal.
"I am telling you old man, don't make me mad. Stop crossing the line, be thankful that I saved you and your goddamn academy." He hissed and moved away before slamming the door behind him.
I was left there, shocked and still coping up with what happened. I shook my head and quickly walked in front of our principal.
"You are indeed crossing the line. You should be thankful that Lucas saved the academy and us with it! What if he wasn't there? Ask those three who Lucas is." I pointed out, I didn't know why but I was so pissed off by the fact that they were looking down on Lucas!
When he was the one who saved us from dying?! "Lucas is the master of the mage's tower, but he left a couple of months ago leaving the tower to us." The mage said, with trembling hands and legs he looked up, and smiled sadly.
"What?" The Principal gasped and washed his face using the palm of his hands. No one knew who the master of the mage's tower was after the death of the last master. The new master wanted to keep his identity a secret.

And here I am, still shocked that the guy who knew the same song that I was singing since I was a child was the master of the mage's tower!
Is fate really playing with me?! Please do stop because I am so stressed right now!! Huhuhuhu. I turned around, walking to the door, I was about to twist the door knob when the principal cleared his throat and called my name.
"Ms. Obelia, please do talk to Lucas and tell him that I am so sorry for looking down and—" I rolled my eyes and chuckled sarcastically. So what? After hearing that he is the oh-so-great-master you're going to act all goody two shoes? Is he serious?
"Oh.. but Sir, it's not my problem." Piss off! Jerk. I smiled sweetly and twisted the doorknob before slamming the door shut. Go get Lucas yourself.
Walking down the corridors, I was still thinking about the mana that I felt that day, it was powerful. Really really powerful and it scared and amazed me at the same time.
"Athanasia!" I heard Jennette's voice, a smile appeared on my face as I turned around and saw her lightly running to me.
"Hmm? Do you need anything?" I titled my head and Jennette pouted before whispering to my ear.
"I heard what you did that day. Why did you do eat?" She asked my eyes widened and remembered that I ran away from Ejikiel when the incident happened. "But Princess why?!" She shouted lightly and pouted like a kid.
I facepalmed as I thought that she may forgot that we were in the middle of the corridors of our academy. No classes for today, because some students were still terrified.
"I'm so sorry about that Jennette, but I promise I won't do it again!" I said and giggled, she raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms against her chest.
"Do you really promise that you won't do it again?" There it is! She's asking me again to make sure that I won't do the same stupid thing again like this time.
"I-I can't promise you that—"
"And that's what I am talking about Princess!" AaaaaAaa save me somebody! She's mad, she's calling me princess again! Mentally sobs.
"Hey hey, wait calm down. But all I did was to stop Lucas from killing himself—"
"You what?! You like him?!" My eyes widened and covered her mouth before pulling her away from the corridors.
What is she thinking!? I said stop not like! "Jennette, I told you I tried to save him not that I like him!" I tried convincing her but there was a smile on her face.
"Oh so you do like him!" She giggled, I sighed and sat on the bench, I brought her to the academy's garden.
"Jennette, he's just my friend. Okay?" I pouted and she chuckled before sitting down beside me, I saw how she started fidgeting her fingers and looked up.
"Was he your soulmate? The song?" I gulped, she was still looking up. I turned my head and shook it slowly.
My heart literally skipped it's beat. "I told you I don't like him—"
"You don't like who, Athanasia?"

LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER (Completed)
Lady Chatterley's Lover is a novel by D. H. Lawrence, first published privately in 1928 in Italy, and in 1929 in France and Australia. An unexpurgated edition was not published openly in the United Kingdom until 1960, when it was the subject of a watershed obscenity trial against the publisher Penguin Books. Penguin won the case, and quickly sold 3 million copies. The book was also banned for obscenity in the United States, Canada, Australia, India and Japan. The book soon became notorious for its story of the physical (and emotional) relationship between a working class man and an upper class woman, its explicit descriptions of sex, and its use of then-unprintable words.
