"Oh shut up both of you." Harry rolled his eyes, "Professor, can't I go and do the trophy room, too?" Said Harry, desperately.
"Certainly not," said Professor McGonagall, raising her eyebrows. "Professor Lockhart requested you particularly. Eight o'clock sharp, both of you."
After Professor McGonagall left, Ron and Harry's shoulder shrunken. "But I do not want to clean at all!" Ron whined.
Harry scoff "At least you have to tidy up, I'll be stuck with Professor Lockhart." he said.
"Filch'll have me there all night," said Ron heavily. "No magic! There must be about a hundred cups in that room. I'm no good at Muggle cleaning."
"I'd swap anytime," said Harry hollowly. "I've had loads of practice with the Dursleys. Answering Lockhart's fan mail... he'll be a nightmare..."
"Well, good luck both of you." Y/N smiled at them as she and Kayden left them.
As both Slytherin girls are walking "So, where we going next." Kayden asked Y/N shrugs her shoulder "I don't feel particularly sure, but I would like to go to the library."
"Alright then, let's go. We don't have more classes left." Both of them went towards the library.
After hours of being there, Kayden fell asleep with open mouth while Y/N kept on reading.
"Hmm, A vampire is a creature from folklore that subsists by feeding on the vital essence (generally in the form of blood) of the living. In European mythology, vampires are undead creatures that often visited loved ones and caused mischief or deaths in the neighbourhoods they inhabited while they were alive... Interesting."
"What in a bloody world are you reading."
Y/N jumped from the sudden voice came. She looked up and smiled "hello Ced; I'm just reading a book about vampires." She shrugs.
He snickers "but why?" "I don't know? I just want to know because I have a hunch about something." Y/N looked at the sleeping person.
Then he looks at the sleeping person too "I don't think so Y/N, why would you think of that?" Cedric said.
Y/N sighed "Can't tell you Ced; also I am still not sure. It's just a doubt anyway."
Then Cedric cleaned his throat "By the way... I heard what happened, about you leaving Quidditch." he looked down to his fingers and fidget.
Y/N bit her bottom lip; she set a paper on the page she was reading. "Seems like rumours flood quickly." she dryly chuckled.
Cedric blinked a couple of times and lowered his head "So it is true then... Is it because of Malfoy?" asked Cedric. Y/N looked at him and shrugged her shoulders once again.
"You could say that I've been struggling to handle my irritation from that git, but I've got plenty, and the team are very disrespectful."
Cedric gazed at her, surprised at how she handles things out; she quit the team because they acted towards other people. "They are a Slytherin, what do you expect but even though you're in the same house. You're different."
"Well, thank you, but I do not want to put the "Im, not like those other girls." stuff. I just can't endure folk who behave like that to my friends even if I was bothered at them."

Cedric chuckled "this is why I like you." Cedric continued to laugh, Y/N face turn red due to the sudden confession he said to her.
She lowers her head as her hair falls to her face "Come on, don't hide your pretty red face like that. You look cute blushing." Cedric grinned which made her even blush more.
"Hey, shut up."
Both of them turned towards to the stretching awaken Kayden Knight, she yawns and scratches her head. "What time is it?" asked Kayden.
Y/N turned around and checked the time "it is twenty-five to seven." said Y/N.
Kayden stood up "Well, say your goodbye to him. We have to go princess." places her hands on her pockets.
Y/N nodded, she faced Cedric once again and smiled "We have to go now. Bye, Ced."
"I can walk you-"
"No need, I can do that." Kayden spoke.
"But-"
Kayden raised her eyebrows "Let the Knight walk the Princess, now move peasant." she looked down to Cedric, giving him a look.

While both Slytherins we're walking to the corridor Y/N heard something - something quite apart from the spitting of the dying candles from the hall.
It was a voice, a voice to chill the bone marrow, a voice of breathtaking, ice-cold venom.
"Come... come to me... Let me rip you... Let me tear you... Let me kill you..."
"Kayden could you please stop that."
"What did I do?"
Both of them stopped and looked at each other "what's wrong?" Kayden asked.
"You said about killing."
"It wasn't even me."
"What? The-then... That - that voice that said - did you hear it?"
"I did, but I would rather to ignore it."
'She can hear it?'
"Blood. I smell blood. Let me rip you. Let me kill you. Kill! Kill!"
"its there again!" Y/N yelled.

"Hello sir Nicholas! Hello! And hello to you too, Harry." I smiled and greeted them.
"Hello, Y/N! It's nice seeing you here." Sir Nicholas smiled back at me. "So, what's happening here?"
"I was just inviting Mr Potter to my five-hundredths deathday in this Halloween."
"that's nice."
"I'm holding a party down in one of the roomier dungeons. Friends will be coming from all over the country. It would be such an honor if you would attend. Mr Weasley, Miss Granger and your Slytherin friends would be most welcome, too, of course - but I daresay you'd instead go to the school feast?" He watches us on tenterhooks.
"No," said Harry quickly, "I'll come--"
"My dear boy! Harry Potter, at my deathday party! And -" he hesitated, looking excited "- do you think you could possibly mention to Sir Patrick how very frightening and impressive you find me?"
"Of - of course," said Harry.
Nearly Headless Nick beamed at him; then he turned towards me. "How about you, child? Are you coming?" he asked.
My this Halloween will be Kayden's birthday, and I've been terrified about it. It's like something going to happen.
"I am not sure sir Nicholas because it will be Kayden's birthday too." I lowered my head.
Then he laughs "it will be fine, you can come to my party for a bit then you can leave to go to your friends." he smiled.

"Really? Thank you!" I beamed back.

"A deathday party?" Said Easton keenly when I had changed at last and joined him and the others in the common room. "I bet there aren't many living people who can say they've been to one of those - it'll be fascinating!"
"Why would anyone want to celebrate the day they died?" Said Benjamin, who was halfway through his Potions homework. "Sounds dead depressing to me..."
"Also, sir Nicholas death party will be on Kayden's birthday. Remember, on her last birthday? A troll got in the castle." I said as I finished my charms essay.
"Come to think of it. Where is that kid?"
"I've been here for so long." We all turned around behind the tables; a kid was resting her legs on the table while drinking from her flask.
"I didn't notice you there."
"Nor felt your presence."
No... She wasn't even there, did she just apparate??
Kayden stood up and walked towards us "But the main question is, are we all going there?" she asked as she sat on the single armchair.
"If you want? I mean it's going to be your-"
"-Do you wanna go?"
I shrug my shoulder "I guess?" then she turns towards to the boys "how about you three."
"sure."
"then we got our answer then.".
By the time Halloween arrived, sir Nicholas death party and Kayden's birthday. However, she's acting weird.
The rest of the school was happily anticipating their Halloween feast; the Great Hall had been decorated with the usual live bats, uncle Hagrid's vast pumpkins had been carved into lanterns large enough for three men to sit in, and there were rumours that grandpa had booked a troupe of dancing skeletons for the entertainment.
"You look pale, are you alright?" I asked Kayden as I touch her cheeks. She snaps from her thought and smiles "Im alright, thanks for asking." she ruffles my hair.
" Let's celebrate your birthday first before we go there. What do you think?" Henry grinned.
All of us nodded and had a small party in our dorm room, lots of treats, laughter and fun.
After some hours, we got an owl from my grandpa. Asking for Kayden, but we instead went with her just in case.
As we went to the great hall, the other students were there having fun. We went to the tables where professors are, but someone caught my eye.
A lady, with blonde hair, she has glasses. More importantly, she doesn't look like a witch.
Kayden froze, her face became even paler. She looked at her, and to grandpa, I noticed how she took a glance on uncle Severus who looking back at her and nodded.
She shook her head "N-no, what she's doing here." and was about to run away "Petrificus Totalus."
I heard auntie Minerva form a spell to Kayden which made her paralysed, but then it broke.
"Kayden, we should speak privately."
"What are you doing here, Linda."
"Your father and your uncle told me to check up on you."
➱➱➱➱
After hours of waiting for her, Linda and Kayden came out from grandpa's office.
"Due to the changing into this body made your mind go crazy and panic, which made your personality mixed up," spoke Linda as she stared at the gender-bend girl.
"Kayden!" We run up to them, the lady turned towards me and eyed me up and down.
"She's the girl?"
Kayden nodded.
"huh?"
"Anyway, it's nice meeting you, Linda. I heard you're a muggle and a so-called doctor, but instead you talk about the feelings and emotions." Linda chuckled and nodded.
"Yes, my full name is Linda Martin, but people mostly call me Doctor Linda. " she whispered the last part.
"Pardon?" I blink.
She smiles at me like she didn't say anything "I hope you take care of our dear Kayden." she added.
"Of course!" I smiled back.
"Let's go; we might get late."
The five of us were about to leave, but then Linda grabbed my arm. "Something will happen, but I want you to take care of her and yourself."
"Wh-what? What do you mean?"
"I'm not sure if its today or what, I'm scared for that child." she spoke as she stared at the girl with the three guys.

"You five are late." Hermione crossed her arms "we had some emergency a while ago." Easton sighed.
The eight of us went to the passageway leading to Nearly Headless Nick's party had been lined with candles, too, though the effect was far from cheerful: These were long, thin, jet-black tapers, all burning bright blue, casting a dim, ghostly light even over their living faces. The temperature dropped with every step they took. As we all shivered and drew our robes tightly around us, he heard what sounded like a thousand fingernails scraping an enormous blackboard.
"Is that supposed to be music?" Ron whispered. We turned a corner and saw sir Nicholas standing at a doorway hung with black velvet drapes.
"My dear friends," he said mournfully. "Welcome, welcome... so pleased you could come..." He swept off his plumed hat and bowed us inside.
It was an incredible sight. The dungeon was full of hundreds of pearly-white, translucent people, mostly drifting around a crowded dance floor, waltzing to the dreadful, quavering sound of thirty musical saws, played by an orchestra on a raised, black-draped platform. A chandelier overhead blazed midnight-blue with a thousand more black candles. Our breath rose in a mist before us; it was like stepping into an icy country.
"Shall we have a look around?" Harry suggested, wanting to warm up his feet.
"Sure." We all nodded, "Careful not to walk through anyone," said Ron nervously, and we set off around the edge of the dance floor.
We passed a group of gloomy nuns, a ragged man wearing chains, and the Fat Friar, a cheerful Hufflepuff ghost, who was talking to a knight with an arrow sticking out of his forehead. I wasn't surprised to see that the Bloody Baron, a gaunt, staring Slytherin ghost covered in silver bloodstains, was being given a wide berth by the other spirits.
"Oh, no," said Hermione, stopping abruptly. "Turn back, turn back, I don't want to talk to Moaning Myrtle--"

Saga of the Jewels VOLUME ONE COMPLETE
Prefer to listen to rather than read Saga of the Jewels? I'm also releasing it as a free audibook serial podcast on iTunes here! Epic YA JRPG-influenced GameLit progression ensemble-cast steampunk romance fantasy! When Ryn’s hometown is destroyed, will he be able to gather together the twelve Primeval Jewels in order to defeat the evil Emperor and save the world of Mid? A fan novelization of an amazing Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist, that currently releases at least one chapter a month. Epic in that this will be very long. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint!” (-Kandaj) YA in that this should be enjoyable to~13-year-olds and upwards. Some gore, some swearing, some sex, but nothing more than PG-13. JRPG-influenced / GameLit in that it uses lots of JRPG tropes, particularly from Final Fantasy. I’ve read a lot of fan Final Fantasy novelisations and you can basically think of this as a fan novelisation of its own Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist as a game... Progression in that the characters level up over time (though not with visible litrpg stat boxes). They grow in ability through training and experience, gain new skills, individually and as a party (think Chrono Trigger) and spend time discussing and stratgeising about how to defeat their opponents. Main protagonist from book three would definitely be able to defeat himself from book one! Ensemble-cast because we've got quite the roster of misfits here. The first volume is all from the main protagonist's POV, but it starts dancing between his and different POVs thereafter. Steampunk in that we’ve also got airships, steam trains, pistols and ambiguous ‘amber bars’ that function a bit like artificial lights… Romance in that there is lots of shipping here, a few love triangles, and you may be kept guessing as to who will actually end up together... Fantasy in that we’re in a vaguely pre-modern setting. We’ve got swords, magic, dragons, dungeons, monsters, all that good stuff. * "This story captures that Final Fantasy quality perfectly. Kiddy but also grim. The characters are great... Severely underrated and needs more favorites/follows. I look forward to seeing how this story will unfold." -Gilgamesh9999 "Starting at the end and jumping backwards is not a writing style seen every day. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but you've executed a fairly crazy idea very skillfully so far. Overall, a strong start to what could be a very strong story." -RandomFF.netUser "You definitely have my interest piqued. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes... It definitely has an 'old school Final Fantasy' type feel to it, which I appreciate...Good job! I am glad you are going into more details about the story you laid out in the prologue...of course the big burning question is 'You know they lose in the the first chapter, so how will they end up winning?' That of course, is the story you're writing...so we'll see how it goes! #Following." -KyleQuicksilver (quotes are from reviews on other sites) * If you enjoy it, don’t forget to boost Saga of the Jewels on topwebfiction.com!
