I got away from them; I stopped running, closed my eyes, and breathed in and out. I opened my eyes once again, and I was back in the forbidden forest.
Someone grabbed my shoulder, which scared me, I turned around, and it was uncle Severus. "Where have you been?! We've been looking for you for hours now; come on now, you have to get ready for the Hamilton ball." he scolded me.
"I- uh, sorry, I overlooked the time. I'm sorry." I looked down.
I heard him sighed "Let's go in, or else your friends would owl you all day long asking why you didn't attend." he shook his head.
I chuckled and nodded "yes, uncle Severus." I smiled.
Both of us went back to the castle and got ready for the ball. My hair is curled a bit, but they didn't style it that much, and they put natural makeup on me a bit because they said I did not need it.
"Oh my sweet Y/N, all grown up." aunt Poppy tears up.
"Auntie, I'm turning 13. I'm still a kid, a minor. A grown-up is 19." I playfully rolled my eyes.
I got a smack from aunt Hooch, "no need to show an attitude like that."
"I was kidding."
~~~~
"Y/N! You came! I thought you weren't coming at all." Easton came up to me and hugged me, and I hugged him back.
"I'm sorry about that; something came up that's why I was a bit late."
Yeah, I got lost, and it seems like I met my missing family.
"It's quite alright, but at least you are here now. We are com- yeah." Benjamin forced his smile.
These three boys, they changed. Their looks got mature and got taller; they look good. Handsome.
"Y/N Dumbledore."
The four of us turned around and met Easton's father along with the other two fathers.
"Lord Hamilton." I courtesy.
"It's been a while ever since I've seen you; you've grown a lot; how's your grandfather?" He smiles.
"He's been doing alright, always in his office." I awkwardly chuckled.
"Come to think of it, where is the other kid who is always with you four before?" Mr Grey spoke.
Silent fell to us four. None of us spoke.
"She's dead." Draco appeared out of nowhere.
He changed a lot, and he got taller and handsome. I thought the only people who changed were those three boys and me, but it seems like it's not just us.
"Dead?! The grand duchess is dead?!" Mr Parker gasped.
Grand Duchess, huh. But the head maid and the head butler of the Knight manor said that's she's a princess, and I do believe them too, but the only thing I do not understand is that they also called me princess and the word 'your highness'.
I get called those presses dozens of times because I'm the granddaughter of the great Albus Dumbledore.
"The grand duchess?"
"Poor child."
"It was going to be her coronation once she turns 14 to become a queen."
"Isn't the grand duchess is the princess?"
"I heard something happened that's why some people know her as grand duchess instead of a princess."
"I was thinking of making my son meet her, but it seems like she's all gone."
"FATHER! Keep your voice tone low; now people know about it." Benjamin nudges his father.
"I-I'm so sorry." Mr Parker apologise.
"Y/N, I am so sorry about my father. I'll talk to him." Benjamin grabbed his father to the corner and talked to him.
"Y/N? Are you alright?" Easton asked.
I nodded, "Well done, Malfoy. Why in the world did you even mention her? You know that topic is sensitive." Henry was about to go near him, but Mr Grey stopped him.
"I didn't mean to, and your father was the one who mentioned her first, then Parker's dad blurted it out loud." Malfoy crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.
"How dare you-"
"Enough!" I yelled; I balled my fist and breathed out.
"Please excuse me, I'll be going out for a minute," I said and, courtesy at them and walked out.
I went to the garden and cleared my mind; I saw down to one of the benches in the manor and looked up to the sky.
"If only you're here, they won't be saying this kind of stuff..." when I went out passing other people, I kept hearing them talking about her being dead, and it hurts me.
"What are you doing here? It's cold out here; go back."
Ugh, I turned around, and it was someone. Their face is covered, they're wearing a suit, but their hair is a bit longer. It's tied.
I wiped the tears that were already coming out, and I stood up a courtesy at them. "Good evening, Lord." I gave them a sincere smile.
"Lord?" they chuckled, "Good evening to you too." they placed their hand on their chest and bowed.
The way they bowed... similar to her, this person is giving me a similar aura and presence.
"My lady, I think it is the best for you to go back inside the manor. Rain will be pouring out tonight; you do not want to get your pretty dress and hair- your hair..." their eyes widen.
They marched towards me and touched some of my hair, "since when did your hair change like this?" they asked.
"H-huh? In my second year, Lord. Wh-why?" I gulped due to how close we are right now.
This person is taller than me, but the boys are way taller than this person now; they nodded. They let go of my hand and bowed.
"I apologise for acting like that, my lady, but I think you should get inside." I nodded; I grabbed my dress and was about to walk away.
But they grabbed my hand. "Also, it is better for you not to talk to strangers at all since your hair is slowly turning to white. So you have to be careful, alright?" They smiled; I nodded once again. They let go of my hand and watched me walk away.
I got inside the manor again, and some people were leaving already. "Y/N! We've been looking for you! Where have you been?" The three Slytherins boys ran towards her.
"Huh? I told you that I'll be out there to freshen up to the garden."
"You weren't in the garden; we searched everywhere," said Henry.
What.
"I was with someone, their face was covered, and they had a long hair which is tied up," I explained.
"Their face was covered? Y/N, this party is that a masquerade ball." Easton grabbed her shoulders.
"Maybe they had a scar, and they don't want to let people see it," I argued.
"fair enough."
"But do not talk to strangers! Didn't Kayden told you that, do not talk to strangers. Or else it's going to happen just like when you were with Granger." Ben said.
"How did you guys know about that?" I asked.
"Oh, Granger told us about it."
Snitch.
"But Y/N., no one was in the garden at all; we were looking for you everywhere. There was no sign of you, neither the person you were talking about." Easton said as he let go of me.
What? Couldn't they find us? Did the person who I was talking to put a barrier around us?
But then someone caught my eye, and it was the same person who I was talking to. They were in the corner drinking some alcohol, and he was watching us. They raised their glass and smirked.
"He's there! The person!" I looked at the boys and then pointed at the person.
"Y/N, no one is there."
Huh?
I looked back at the corner the person was in, but they were gone. "What? How? They were just there a while ago; they were there!" I looked at the guys.
"Y/N, you should go home. Get some rest. Also, school is about to start in two days. You should get some rest. Alright?" Ben hugged me and kissed my forehead.
"I-I guess... I'll be going now then; tell your father that the party is wonderful." I courtesy at them and walked away.
"Y/N? Where are you going?"
I turned around, and it was the Slytherins boys, quidditch team. They also changed.
Is it just me, or some of them changed and get handsome...
"Oh, I'm going home." I smiled.
"But your uncle is still not here," said Terence.
"It's alright, and I got this."
"Y/N, we'll bring you home," Theo said.
"But how about your parents? They're still here." I said.
They shook their head. "It's alright; we could also tell them that we went to hang out with you since it's been a while since you were with us. Don't worry. We won't do anything bad to you." Marcus smiled.
He's one of the people who changed.
"I know that," I chuckled. "But it's alright; I could just-"
"Y/N," I turned around, and it was grandfather.
"Grandpapa!" I immidently went to him, "Hello, professor." The boys greeted him.
"Good evening."
"The Hamilton told me that you needed to go home." I nodded.
"Alright, let's go?"
I waved goodbye at the boys and left with my grandpa, and we went to the carriage as the horse ran.
"Finally."
What? Did his voice just change?
I looked at him, and his appearance changed into the person I was talking to. "You didn't learn, did you? You shouldn't go to other people careless." they shook his head.
"Wh-who are you?" I took my wand out and pointed at them.
"No need to know me; I'm not a bad person." they chuckled.
"But you kidnapped me!" I pointed at them, and I did not know if they were a female or a male due to the mask, clothing, voice and hair.
"But at least I'm not going to take advantage of you, and Goddess knows that we are the same age. Also, I'm not that kind of person." They shook their head in disappointment.
They stared at me straight in the eyes, staring at my soul. "Do you think I'm that kind of person? You can't even decide if I'm a woman or a male." they crossed their arm and leg.
"Yes."
They facepalm and chuckled.
Okay, that was attractive.
"Y/N, Y/N, Y/N." they smirked, "Alright, you're here."
I looked outside the window, and I was already in Hogwarts; it only took us twenty minutes. But a while ago, it took us two hours to get to Easton's manor. Did they perhaps but magic on the carriage? I mean, they are probably a witch /wizard.
"Um, thank you so much." I bowed a bit mostly my head and upper body.
They waved their hand in front of me "it's nothing, do not worry about it." they smiled.
The butler opened the door for me and moved away so I could get out and as I was about to get out, they grabbed my hand, "yes?" i smiled.
"Goodnight, princess. And maybe see you again. Oh and do not tell them." they flicked my forehead and smiled, they closed the door.
They flicked my forehead... there's only one person who does that.
"Y/N! You're here! Did the Hamilton bring you home?" Uncle Hagrid asked, soon all the professors came out.
"Uh, yes, yes, they did." I smiled at them.
I rather not tell them and make them worry, also that person seems nice anyways. They didn't do anything bad to me, and more importantly, I am alive.
"That's great, come on in now. You need to help us get ready because school is about to start soon." said grandpa.
"Oh, yeah. In two days."
"Our sweet little darling Y/N is going to be in her third year, you're all grown up." aunt Poppy said as she pinched my cheeks.
"Auntie, stop." I giggled.
"She grew tall, you mature and your body changed, even your voice!"
"Also my hair."
Soon as I said that, silence fell. No one dared to speak.
"I do not mind the white hair, it's just weird. Am I getting old? Is that why my hair is white now? Also how come I look like the person from that book that uncle Hagrid gave me, about the Goddess and the Devil?" I questioned.
"I think it's the best for us to talk about it inside, how about that?" Grandpa guided me inside the castle as we all went to his office.
We all sat down at the meeting table, "Y/N, as you can see you are not really my-"
"I know that I found out about that. Because I noticed how we don't even have. a single picture of my parents in the castle at all. And also the letter that my mother left." I looked down at my hands and smiled.
But then aunt Minerva placed her hands on my cheeks "but we will always treat you as our own blood Y/N," tears flowing out from her eyes as she smiles at me.
"Thank you, thank you for taking care of me even though not knowing where I came from or who I am or who's blood is flowing through my body." soon tears fall.
~~~~~~
"Come on! The new students would be here by now!"
The school already started, which means new students and new people to meet.

The Collected Short Stories of Necrontyr525
Hey all, Necrontyr525 here! Rather then drown you all in a flood of one- to three-chapter mini-fics, I've decided to put out all of my short stories in an 'omnibus' format, sorted by series and by release date. These stories span my entire progress as a writer-for-fun over the past three plus years, with the corisponding variance in length, subject matter, and quality. Each chapter will get an Author's Note as a sort of forwards. Not nessisarily as a summary, but more to give you all some context for where each short came from, as well as any chapter-spicific trigger warnings. I can't think of any off of the top of my head, but better safe then sour.Comments, reviews, and constuctive criticizm is welcome, but please do recall that these works collectivly represent a great deal of my growth as a writer.Cover by the wonderful gej302! Memories of the Bean Times
To those who have survived: I write this now, for I fear my death is imminent. Barnabas Schmidt wasn't serious when he said he knew what was going on in Paris. Thomas Sauer wasn't expecting to put his life on the line studying a mysterious disease. Julia Krause wasn't trying to join a cult. And the Holy Roman Empire wasn't prepared to fight the Beans. In the year 1587, the small farming village of Dijon in the Kingdom of France is attacked by seemingly immortal monsters made out of baked beans. As Schmidt fights against the Beans on the front lines, the Beans steadily approach the Empire's borders. As Sauer searches for the Beans' weaknesses, the Church of the Beanmeister paves the way for the arrival of the God. As Krause helps the Church, she begins to question her loyalty to the Beanmeister. Updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Chapters are available earlier on the Bean Times website: https://beantimes.github.io
