y/n pov:
I lead Hermione and lily to the dungeons and we stand outside of the entrance to the common room.
Y/n: Hermione put your hand on the brick.
Hermione puts her hand on the brick wall and the cable looking thing made of molten metal and fire came out wrapped around her arm and took out a drop of blood before retreating into the wall. Hermione looks like she's in shock.
Hermione: what was that?!
Y/n: some security thing the founder put in to keep it hidden i think.
As lily goes to do her drop of blood a small circular part of the wall slides into the wall as a metal rod pokes out and the ball on the end opens like an eye aimed at Lily's face before looking at her left inner forearm.
Y/n: pull your sleeve up.
Lily lifts her sleeve and it scans her mark which causes it to burn her a little bit before it looks at me.
Metal eyeball: tha e fìor.
I nod in thanks as it returns back in the wall and the doors open to the staircase to my common room. Hermione and lily gasp at how many doors are blocking the entrance besides the stone wall door.
Hermione's pov:
As we step off the last step I notice that there is robot guards holding staffs with a silk like cloak over one shoulder.
They were standing in two line parallel with the doorway.
(Essentially like how the guards in the photo are standing)
I gulp seeing a metal bridge with an abyss hidden under fog with pillars rising out of the fog pulsing a blue light. Me and lily notice that the guard lines are going to the end of the bridge. We reach the end of the bridge to a hall with a glass floor and lava flowing under the glass in it's center lined up with the bridge. At the end of the hall we reach a big spacious room. As me and lily look up we see a metal cube held up by metal beams hanging on the walls and it sends out pulses of energy that start blue but when it reaches the walls it turns a reddish orange as it spreads through the whole room. Y/n turns around to face us.

Y/n: welcome to my common room. This above us is the allspark it powers everything in the common room and no spells can destroy it.
We go to a room marked the Gravemind room and me and Lily follow close to y/n in the green fog filled hall to a big domed room and see something rise from the depths of the pit in the room.
Lily: what is that?!
Y/n: this is the Gravemind. He has years of knowledge in him about the past since before hogwarts was built till now.
Gravemind: you two must be Hermione granger and lily potter the friends of the current death bringer.
Hermione: y...yes we are.
We follow y/n out of the room to a meeting room and he presses a few buttons and shows hogwarts and the grounds surrounding the castle. It is in red, the display of the castle and grounds, and I notice the big guns set up around the school.
Lily: whoa is this hogwarts and the grounds?
Y/n: yes it is, this is everything happening outside of the castle at this very moment. The guns are to keep out any evil wizards flying in on brooms or how the death eaters from the first wizard war traveled anything flying in towards the castle and grounds out.
I take in everything y/n says in surprise that he is protecting the school. After y/n turned off the display we follow him to his sleeping area, which has a four poster bed like in the dorms in the gryffindor tower but with black curtains that keep light out. Y/n takes us to his training room and the forge for him to make or repair his weapons. We leave his common room as me and lily are in shock at how much different his common room is to the gryffindor and Slytherin common rooms.

Living In The System - A LitRPG with more story, less text boxes
In the ancient echoes upon it’s great boughs, Yggdrasil holds all the knowledge in existence. Indeed, all of creation swings from its immense branches and leaves. The howls that creep through its cavernous spaces were not caused by the wind. No wind could be powerful enough to shake The Tree, yet it rocked. A great battle raged in its dew drops and amongst its roots. A War for control. For knowledge is power, and power is everything. A furtive glance over her shoulder told the hurried goddess that she was not being followed. That was good. What she had just done would be a great risk. Placing a new thread on a world so soon to be destroyed was costly. She would be greatly diminished, but her work was not done yet. In the myriad of infinite worlds, there lies Genia. A starter world, of very little importance. It is where she will find her champion. Killian never got the chance to see the world. Yet he is given opportunity. Opportunity not just to see the world, but to change it... to change all of creation. There are many stories to tell upon the Tree of Yggdrasil, where all of creation hangs from its branches. The power of destiny fuels all, but destiny is fickle. He can only pray that things will go well. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

The Stories We Told In the Dark
6/19/21: not abandoned, taking this back up again but reworking older chapters first! The planet Tellus is dying and humanity’s last hope is finding other planets that are capable of sustaining human life. Valentine is one of many orphans who were forced into a state program and experimented upon to enhance their strength, intelligence, and magical capabilities. They have been chosen to lead humanity out into space, guiding and protecting them as they gather resources and rebuild their population so that they may someday return home. But the very procedures meant to prepare them for the challenges ahead cause them to become despised and feared and looked upon as something monstrous. *** Updated biweekly on Tuesdays. [Schedule is currently a bit borked due to poor health, looking to finish up the first section of this book by the end of the year then back to a regular schedule in January] This is a kitchen sink space opera. It originated off me lamenting the lack of witches in space and has spiraled out of control from there.
