"Ohh Jungkookie... "

Namjoon had so much pain in his eyes when he looked at the younger boy. "Why didn't you let him talk to you Jungkookie? Why didn't you let him explain"

"I don't know hyung. I was so angry and hurt. It took me sometime to calm down and came back to my senses. By then he was angry and I was angry that he didn't came after me. And then I left for USA, and I don't know, we just had different paths since then I guess. And anyway, there wasn't much to explain right?" Jungkook asked in a quiet voice, question at the end barely in a whisper.

"Ohh but there was. There was so much to explain Jungkookie. I know it looked like that but Tae didn't do anything wrong that night. But he was so angry that you didn't trust him. You didn't trust him enough to even get his side of the story. And after that both your ego come to play and you 2 were so stubborn that you didn't even realise what you were loosing. If you had only given him the chance to explain, none of this would have happened." Namjoon said in a pained voice. It hurt him so much to see their suffering.

"What do you mean hyung?" Jungkook asked in a confused voice.

"I mean he.." Namjoon's voice what cut off by the sound of his office door opening.

Taehyung came hurrying in and you could tell with one look, that he was pissed. Jungkook got up from his chair.

"I should go now hyung. Thanks for the tea" he practically ran off, not wanting to be in the same place as Taehyung.

"What are you trying to do hyung? Didn't I tell you to stop meddling with my life." Taehyung snapped at his brother.

"I wasn't trying to do that. He may not be your boyfriend anymore but he's still someone I care about. I was just having a chat with an old friend" Namjoon retorted. "When will you 2 fix this madness? It's been 3 freaking years Tae."

"There's nothing left to fix. He wasn't ready when I wanted to talk and now I don't want to talk. All that is in the past now." Taehyung replied.

"Then why haven't you been dating anyone all these years Tae? I know you still love him. He's the only one you have loved ever since." Namjoon tried to reason with his brother.

"Well sometimes, love isn't just enough." Tae looked directly at his brother when he said that and Namjoon didn't really have a reply to that.

"Anyways, I hope you wouldn't try to do anything hyung. Whatever it is, it'll be between me and him. And I like to keep it that way. We'll talk when we are ready. Maybe never." Taehyung went out of the room.

He was so riled up in his thoughts that he didn't see the door next to Namjoon's office closing. Jungkook has been standing outside Namjoon's office the whole time and since Taehyung hadn't closed the door properly when he came in, Jungkook heard their entire conversation. What have I done? He thought to himself.

Namjoon was standing near the window and was looking out when he heard his office door opening again.

"Hyung. I like to know what happened that night. Can you please tell me." Jungkook looked lost. Namjoon sighed.

"You should take a seat."He waited until the younger boy sat down.

When Jungkook finally came out of the room, he was devastated. He had messed up so badly. His mistake ruined his life and Taehyung's for last 3 years.

He just walked and walked not really caring where he's going until his friends saw him like that. They knew something was badly wrong just by looking at him.

"Jungkookie are you going home?" Jimin held his hand and looked in to the younger boy's eyes.

He didn't have to ask whether Jungkook was ok because it was evident that he was no where near being ok.

"Hey look at me. Did you come by your car today? Do you want us to give you a ride?" Yoongi finally stopped the boy and asked.

"Can you?" Jungkook whispered.

"Of course man. Come on. Jimin bring my car around. I'll take Jungkook's car to his place and you can pick me from there. Hoseok are you coming?"

"No man, I have to go somewhere. See you tomorrow Jungkook." Hoseok replied and gave a tight hug to the younger boy.

Yoongi got in to Jungkook's car and pulled out from the campus with Jimin closely following. Jungkook hasn't said anything for the entire car ride except to give directions to his house. He just looked out of the car window. Yoongi was worried about the younger boy but there wasn't anything he could do.

Once they came to Jungkook's house they said their goodbyes.

"Don't worry too much Jungkookie. I'm sure everything will be ok. We're here if you need to talk or if you need any help. I don't want you to be sad." Jimin hugged the boy and after few seconds, felt the boy hugging him back.

They stayed like that for a while before Jungkook pulled out from the embrace.

"Thank you. I'll see you guys tomorrow ok. Drive safely." Jungkook went in to his house and Jimin and Yoongi got in to the car.

"What the hell was that about Yoongs?" Jimin exclaimed once they are out.

"I don't know baby. Whatever it was, Jungkook was pretty shaken up. Let's wait. He'll tell us when he's ready". Yoongi ruffled his boyfriend's hair and gave an assuring smile.

Jungkook went straight in to his room and let out the tears that he has been holding till now. He didn't want to break down in front of his friends. He cried and cried, to his hearts content.

After what seemed like few hours, he has finally stopped crying. He had a new determination in life. Whatever it takes, he's going to fix his mistake. He's going to fix everything.

It's time to make good on an old promise. He's going to get Taehyung back.

"I'll never let that happen Tae. Whatever it takes, I'll always get you back. I'll never ever let you go. I promise"

so I didn't want to tell what happened between Taekook as I have planned for an episode down the line to reveal their history. Just know that no one was at fault and it was a stupid misunderstanding blown out of proportion.
