Yoongi opens his eyes to find his mother crying her eyes out

"Mom?" he says in a weak voice

His mother looks at him "I told you not to play football again" she says

Yoongi looks around without answering her

"What time is it?" he asks

"Are you even listening to me?" his mother says

Yoongi finds his phone and checks it. There are 8 missed calls from Jisoo and 2 from Lisa.. He checks the time. It's 9 pm

"I can still make it to the party" he says

"Are you crazy? Look at yourself. And you're worried about a party now?" his mother almost screams

Yoongi tries to get up but his body gives up.. He tries again but fails and eventually gives up

"Why does it happen to me always? Do you know how happy I was when she said yes to the party? but look at me now" he says

"Please Yoongi. You like her a lot, I know. But don't punish yourself like this" she says

"I am not punishing myself. I want to know how she is looking right now. I want to ask her out, mom. Take her to dates, give her everything that she deserves.. But you know what? I don't want her to love me back. I never want her to look at me the way she looks at Taehyung. I won't be able to be with her for long. What's the point in wishing her to be mine?" he says

"I have faith in GOD. you're going to be fine" mother cries and hugs him

Yoongi looks for Jisoo in the campus and finally finds her in front of her locker

"Hello Ms. Jisoo" he says

Jisoo gets a bit shocked hearing his voice out of nowhere and looks behind to see him smiling at her. She doesn't reply and turns to the front again.

"What happened?" Yoongi asks

"Where were you yesterday? You were the one for whom we went to the party and you ditched us" Jisoo says as she finishes taking her books

"Do you know how much I needed you yesterday?" she says being sulky

"What happened? Did anything happen?" he asks

Jisoo locks the door and holds Yoongi's hand

"I need to talk to you," she says as she drags Yoongi to the library, the same place as before

"What is it Jisoo? Why are you so sad?" Yoongi asks

Jisoo shares everything that happened to her last night

"I am going to kill that guy. He is from our college?" Yoongi says in an angry voice

"You're not hurt, are you?" he adds looking concerned

"I am so sorry Jisoo. I should've been there with you. But I-- I had guests come over. So couldn't leave the house" he lies

"Why didn't you pick up my phone? I called you so many times" Jisoo says in a teary voice

"I am the worst friend ever. I couldn't be there when you needed me the most" Yoongi says without answering her question

"I just-" Jisoo can't even finish the sentence. She starts wheeping

"ssshhhhh..." Yoongi says and hugs jisoo

"You're fine, Jisoo. No one will dare to touch you from now on. I won't let them.." he says

It makes Jisoo cry even more in his arms. She holds him too and cries her heart out. After a while, Jisoo tries to compose herself and breaks away from the hug and wipes her tears

"Let's go. The class will start soon" She says awkwardly realizing that she shouldn't have hugged him like this

"You're okay, right?" Yoongi says looking at her eyes directly

"I am" Jisoo smiles at him and both of them head for the classroom

During the entire class, Taehyung kept glancing at Jisoo from time to time. He wanted to ask her if she is doing well after everything that happened but he couldn't

The bell rings marking the end of the class

"Yoongi, will you come over to my house today? My parents have a party to attend and you own me a big one for ditching me last night" Jisoo says

"Sure. I'll be there at 8" he replies

Jisoo smiles at his answer. She likes being around yoongi. She likes his company

Jisoo comes back home and tells her mom that Yoongi is going to come. Her mother cooks dinner for them, this is the first time Jisoo has invited a boy over

Jisoo comes back to her room and picks her phone up. There are 11 missed calls from Taehyung. She keeps contemplating whether she should call him back or not but in the end, she decides not to. She starts doing her homework so that she can finish all of it before Yoongi arrives. Taehyung calls her again but she doesn't pick up.

It's almost 8 when Yoongi arrives. She welcomes him inside and they both sit on the sofa.

"I thought you were gonna ditch me again," Jisoo says

"I keep my promises" Yoongi replies

Jisoo smiles at him but Yoongi can see that this is a forced smile.

"What is bothering you?" he asks

"I can never hide anything from you, can I? But you'll hate me if I say the reason" Jisoo replies

"I can never hate you," he says

"It's just, Yoongi. I don't know what is happening to me. Every time I think I've moved on, Taehyung comes in front of me and I feel vulnerable again. He cheated on me, left me alone but then yesterday night, he gave his all to save me. I don't know what he wants from me. More than that, I don't even know what I want for myself" she says

"It's understandable. He was your first love. No matter what he did to you, You loved him truly and it is normal that moving on is hard for you. But Jisoo you can't remain so confused all the time. You have to understand your feelings. I am not going to be here always" Yoongi replies

"Who said you're not going to be here? You're always going to be with me" Jisoo says

"As much as i want that, it won't happen" Yoongi says slowly

"What? I didn't hear you" jisoo replies

"Nothing. It's just that--" Yoongi tries to say something but jisoo interrupts

"Do you have a girlfriend? Is that why you said that you aren't going to be with me?" she asks

"How did you reach to that conclusion?" Yoongi gets amused

"Umm.. This morning you said that I shouldn't fall for you and that you're not available.. And you're saying that you are not going to be here always. Does it mean that you have a girlfriend? maybe?" Jisoo says in a confusing tone

"Haha, women are the worst in making conclusions," Yoongi says

"I don't have anybody in my life. I just don't want to ruin someone else's life by making them fall for me" he says

"Why would it ruin someone's life? If you two love each other truly and stay with each other, then it'll be fine" Jisoo replies

"Staying is the hardest for me," Yoongi says to himself

"Leave it. Let's change the topic" he says

"No. promise me that you'll always be with me. I can't lose you, Yoongi. People always leave. Please tell me that you'll stay" JIsoo says in a low voice

"I'll be with you till I die, I promise" Yoongi says

"You danced alone last night, right?" he says trying to change the topic

"Like a crazy woman" Jisoo replies and laughs

"I missed the chance to dance with you yesterday but I don't want to miss it today," Yoongi says and gets up. He moves the center table to the side and makes space in the middle

"What are you doing?" Jisoo asks

"Wait and watch," he says

He then takes his phone out and plays on full volume

"May I?" he says and extends his hand towards Jisoo. Jisoo smiles and says "yes"

Yoongi places his right hand on Jisoo's waist very lightly, as if she is a paper doll. They both move to the beat and smile at each other. They keep dancing and for the first time in a while, Jisoo feels happy. She doesn't feel anything weighing her down instead dancing here like this is lifting her mood up. She has been so depressed the whole day that this moment feels like a breath of fresh air to her

Yoongi enjoys the moment as well. At one moment, while dancing, Jisoo comes very close to him. She looks at his eyes as Yoongi's eyes pierces her's. They come a little close as the song reaches climax

Yoongi comes back to his senses. As much as he wants to stop the time, it is not his place to get this close to Jisoo

"I am so hungry" he whispers

Both of them stop dancing as Jisoo tries to process what she was about to do.

"Me too. Let's eat" she says

"I'll use the washroom. Where is it?" Yoongi asks

Jisoo points him to the direction of the washroom and serves food on the table

Yoongi closes the door and washes his face with water.. He feels feverish. He looks in the mirror and sees that blood is coming out of his nose. He keeps washing his nose again and again to make it go away

"Please GOD, not now. Please" he says as he takes a napkin and hold it tightly against his nose to stop bleeding

Jisoo is serving food on the table when someone rings the bell

"Coming" she says as she puts the dish down and opens the door

"What the fuck happened to you?" Taehyung says angrily

"What are you doing here?" Jisoo asks

"I called you so many times. why didn't you pick up?"

"I was busy"

"With what?" he asks

"not your business" Jisoo replies but her answer makes Taehyung angrier. He gets inside and closes the door

"Anything related to you is my fucking business. Now tell me, where were you? Do you know how tensed i was when you were not answering? If something happened to you--" he stops in the middle of the sentence and brings Jisoo close to him

"You're doing fine, right?" he says confidently but his voice sounds weak

Jisoo is so close that she can smell his sweet perfume. She liked the smell of his perfume the most, being so close to him brings so many memories back. She thinks about the day Taehyung snuck into her house when her parents weren't here. She panicked that day thinking that she'll get caught by her mother but little did she know that one day she'll crave for those days to come back

He came close to her that day too but it is different today.

"Jisoo, answer me damn it. I've been dead worried about you since last night" Taehyung says breaking her thoughts

"I don't want to answer you, please just leave" she replies

"It's your birthday tomorrow.. I just--" he stops in the middle of his sentence

"What is going on here?" Yoongi says coming back

Taehyung looks at him and-- he can't speak for a brief moment. This is the last thing he expected

"This is what you were busy with?" he says letting Jisoo go

"Taehyung please go" Jisoo says

"I am sorry. Sorry for interrupting you two. Please go ahead and do whatever you were doing"he says and takes one last look at Jisoo before walking out
