Jisoo wipes her tears and tries to hold everything in. She stands up 

"I need to find Jennie," she thinks and heads inside

As she makes her way across the hall, someone stops her

"Jisoo," the person says

Jisoo turns around to see Jimin standing there

"I had to say something to you," he says

"Not now Jimin. I'll talk to you later" she says as she looks around for Jennie

Jimin keeps following her "Please I won't take much time. Just listen to me once" he says

"Say it. I am listening" Jisoo says 

"I can't say it in front of everyone. Can we go somewhere quiet?" he says

"Jimin-" Jisoo says

"please it'll take 5 minutes" he insists

"Okay. lead the way" Jisoo says still looking around but there is no sign of Jennie

Jimin and Jisoo make their way to an empty part of the hall

"Make it quick," Jisoo says

"I am sorry, Jisoo. I am really sorry. I haven't been sleeping well from the guilt of--" Jimin says

"Why are you apologizing?" Jisoo asks

"I-- umm. I am the one who recorded you and Taehyung in the boys' washroom. But I had no intention to make it viral like that. I did that because- .... because Jennie told me to. She asked me to edit the final part and post it. I was wrong and I want to apologize" he says

Jisoo has already had enough today but the fact that her own cousin did something so low to her is the last straw for her

"Jennie told you to do that?" Jisoo asks again thinking that he is joking

"Yes, but that doesn't make me innocent. I am the one who recorded it. I thought that I'll tease Taehyung using it but I fell in Jennie's word" he says

"Jimin wait, you took that video to tease Taehyung? Seriously? I mean what kind of a friend does that? Excluding the *Jennie part*, the fact that you recorded it just so that you could tease Taehyung is literally the lamest excuse I have ever heard. Taehyung would break your friendship with him if he knows that you recorded it" Jisoo says

"Jisoo I know I am wrong here. But It's a usual thing for me and Taehyung. This isn't the first time I have recorded something like this. And as bad as it might sound, even when Taehyung was with you and he hooked up with other girls, I once recorded it and used it to tease Taehyung and he laughed about it. That's why I thought that it'll be the same here too. But it went way too far" he says

Jisoo feels as if the ground from her feet is not there anymore

"Jimin, do you understand what you're saying? First of all, you recorded it and Taehyung would've been fine with it if it didn't spread like that? And second of all, you did it before too? You guys keep surprising me every freaking time" Jisoo says and feels anger, sadness, regret rush inside of her all at once

"I don't think that it's wrong. Girls literally throw themselves on Taehyung and I once recorded it simply for the fun of it. And I've never had any intention to spread anything like that. It's just for fun but yours is not the same case. And I apologize for it. From the bottom of my heart," Jimin says

"Listen, Park Jimin " Jisoo takes a few steps towards him

"I won't forgive you or Jennie till my last breath even if you keep apologizing," she says and walks back inside the hall

Jimin watches her go and the fact that he did this to Jisoo sinks further deep inside of him seeing how distraught she looks

Jisoo feels disgusted at the things Jimin told her. These are the same people she attends classes with. She feels her skin crawl and her stomach is hurting

Her boyfriend used to hook up with girls behind her back and his friend once recorded it and they made fun of it. Her cousin made a video of her go viral in a negative light. She just wants to run away from this place

Jisoo sees Jennie standing far away near the bar and not a single part of her wants to apologize for what she did to Jennie. Yes, she kissed Taehyung which wasn't right but she feels this intense wave of anger inside of her which doesn't let her apologize to her.

Jisoo changes her mind.

"I am not going to apologize to you, Jennie. You just don't deserve it" she thinks to herself

"There you are," Taehyung says from behind and holds her hand

Jisoo sees him and immediately withdraws her hand from his grip

"Don't you dare to touch me" she says

Taehyung gets surprised at her sudden change in mood. He thought that everything was okay

"What happened? Did anyone say anything to you?" he asks

"Why? Did you ask any of your friends to record us kissing so that you can make fun of it later?" she says

"Jisoo, what are you talking about?" he asks

"Just leave me alone," Jisoo says

"I am not leaving you alone especially after what happened upstairs," Taehyung says in a suppressed voice so that no one hears him

"Oh, let me make this very clear, what happened upstairs was a mistake. A big mistake that I regret. Okay? I hope things are clear now" she replies

"A mistake? Do you even know what you're saying?" Taehyung says in disbelief

"Yes, I know what I am saying. Now please go" Jisoo says in a rude tone

"Jisoo--" He is about to say something but Jisoo stops him

"Tell me one thing Taehyung. How do you sleep at night? Knowing that you cheated on me for God knows how many months? That you lied to me when I was so loyal to you? And that you hook up with tons of girls and when your friends record it, instead of scolding them, you join in with them to make fun of the situation? And look at fate, you even ended up cheating on Jennie. I mean, what kind of a person are you? Aren't you ashamed of yourself?" Jisoo says everything that she has been storing inside of her all this time

"What kind of person I am?" Taehyung asks and realizes what Jisoo is trying to mean

"You aren't an angel either. The innocent, silent girl made out with her own cousin's boyfriend behind her back. Seems like you're not much different from me, are you?" Taehyung says being vindictive about what Jisoo said

Jisoo all of a sudden can not control herself hearing what Taehyung said. She slaps him hard and almost everyone notices it. Jennie runs towards them

"WHAT THE FUCK JISOO," she says

Jisoo looks at Jennie

"I am tired. Of you, of your boyfriend, of Jimin and of this masquerade ball" she says and looks at everyone

"I am fucking tired of you all" Jisoo says and takes the glass of wine from Jennie's hand

She spills all the wine on Jennie and starts walking away

Everyone looks at her in disbelief. She is the quietest girl that they know of

Jisoo stops walking and turns around and says out loud for everyone to hear

"This is for fucking my boyfriend behind my back for straight two months and for spreading that video around. I am ashamed to call you my cousin" she says and shows her middle finger up to Jennie 

Jisoo then looks at Jennie's mother

"Aunty congratulations. Your daughter is dating my ex with whom she hooked up behind my back. You must be so proud" she says and looks one last time at everyone's face

Although most of their faces are covered with masks, she can clearly see the surprise with which they are looking at her and Jennie. Jennie looks like a rat trapped in a cage, drenched in wine and looking around trying to get people's sympathy

"hope you have a great party everyone," she says and walks out.

Jisoo has never felt better. She created a mess inside but her mind is at peace. She doesn't care anymore about what the people think of her. Although even minutes before she felt guilty for doing what she did, it isn't even close to what Jennie did to her 

Lisa and Rose look at each other. They also leave the party and catch up with Jisoo

"Jisoo" Lisa screams from behind

"Wait up," Rose says

Jisoo looks behind and sees them

"Guys, please. I need to be alone for some time. Okay?" Jisoo says

"Sure. But one thing- You were fucking dope back there" Lisa says and smiles

Jisoo smiles back and walks out knowing that she isn't the one who has to clean up the mess she made

Jennie looks around and sees everyone staring at her, some gossiping. Even her mother walks out without helping her. She feels pathetic, just the way Jisoo felt when she leaked that video.

Jennie is in no position to defend herself from all these stares. 

"Can you drive me home?" she says to Taehyung

Taehyung doesn't reply and walks out while Jennie follows him

"We're sorry for the inconvenience but I hope that you all understand my daughter. She is never the one to do stuff like this. Seems like these things were inside of her for so long that she just let everything out today" Jisoo's dad says to the everyone

"It's fine. We all know Jisoo. And going by what she said, she must've been very hurt. She is a bright kid. I've never seen her talk badly to anyone" someone says

"yeah, and they are all teenagers. They'll make mistakes, it is normal. I hope Jisoo is well now" 

Not a single person advocates for Jennie. They all know how Jennie is. Even Jennie's dad apologizes to Jisoo's parents on her behalf

Jisoo's mother just feels very upset because her daughter went through all of this but didn't utter a word to her.

Jisoo walks inside the classroom and finds Lisa and Rose. Taehyung, Jennie and Jimin aren't her. Neither is Yoongi. She needs to talk to him

She puts her bag down and heads out to find him. She knows where he might be

Jisoo enters the library and she was right. He is in there looking at the books at a corner

"Hi," she says with a smile

Yoongi doesn't look at her neither does he reply

"Hello," Jisoo says again

"Did you apologize to Jennie?" he asks

"Yeah, I wanted to talk about that. After you left, Jimin came up to me......" Jisoo shares everything that happened yesterday night with much interest. She wants to see Yoongi's reaction

Yoongi listens to her half-heartedly 

"So you didn't apologize?" he asks

"Does that even matter? What she did is so much worse" she says

Yoongi looks at her

"So you are comparing yourself to her? Look at yourself. You insulted her in front of everyone when you did the same thing with her boyfriend too" Yoongi says

"But I--" jisoo says

"you know what Jisoo, a part of me really thought that you'll apologize. I expect Jennie to do the things that she did. I never expected you to do what you did.. I would've at least felt better about you if you insulted her AFTER saying that you kissed her boyfriend behind her back. Now, I just feel bad for you" Yoongi says

"What do you mean, Yoongi? It took a lot in me to finally say what I've been wanting to say always. And I thought that you'd appreciate that I did it finally" Jisoo says in disbelief

"Then you don't know me. Neither do I. And I'd suggest you tell the truth to Jennie and apologize. Jennie and you are not the same. You made a mistake and should ask for an apology. It doesn't matter whose mistake was bigger" Yoongi says

"I am not apologizing to her Yoongi. Please try to look at it from my shoes" jisoo says

"I need to go" Yoongi replies

"No, you don't. Why are you avoiding me?" Jisoo asks

Yoongi doesn't reply and walks out

Jisoo follows him out of the library but someone holds her hand and pulls her inside a classroom and covers her mouth so that she can't scream

Jisoo gets scared and looks at the person

TAEHYUNG

She groans trying to release herself from his grip. Rather his grips become stronger, this time hurting Jisoo 

"You slapped me in front of everyone. From this day onwards, I am going to love Jennie more than ever, harder than ever. All that in front of you. And you're gonna see every bit of it. And regret what you did last night. I was ready to start all over again but now I am going to do that with Jennie and You'll be the audience. That kiss wasn't a mistake and you know it too. But you're too blind to accept it. You keep judging me for the person I was in the past. Now watch me be the person that you always wished I was but to Jennie" he says and leaves the room
