《Lucifer (Gender Swap)》A Raspy Voiced Thing

I climb out of my car just as a scream comes from the house. I run inside, finding a figure standing by Luci. Wings sprout from the figure's back, giving away the fact that it is an angel. It screams at Luci. The voice is raspy, coming out like gravel in a blender, barely understandable.

"You really think that you would get away with this, Lucifer? Pregnancy? You fool! You will never get rid of your brothers! They will never let you get away with it! They will stop you any way possible!"

I run at the angel but it raises its arm, slamming me against the wall. It takes a minute to recover but I manage to crawl to the entry way table, grabbing my self-defense weapon. My hand-gun. I fire a bullet, nailing it in the back. It screams before vanishing into thin air. I'm at Luci's side in a flash. I cradle her in my arms, letting her curl against me, gripping my shirt tightly in her hands.

"What even was that?"

"That would be my brothers finding out about the baby."

"How?"

"I don't know! Did you tell anybody?"

"The neighbor called and said she saw you on the back porch today. She saw that you were pregnant. That's all I can think of."

She starts crying and shaking. I rock her slowly, trying to calm her. It works to a point while she thinks. Then she starts shaking again before she responds.

"I knew I shouldn't have gone outside! I put the baby at risk. How could I have been so stupid?!"

"Hey, you can always have another baby. It doesn't have to happen right now."

"You don't understand. I've been trapped my whole life. I don't even know how I managed to escape in order to even get pregnant the first time. One minute I was in Hell. The next, I was being brought to the hospital via ambulance. I'm still unsure why they haven't sent me right back to Hell."

"Don't worry. I won't let them hurt you or the baby."

"They are more powerful than you."

"I just shot an angel in the back."

"That was just a flesh wound to her. She'll be back. You didn't kill her."

So it is a her!

"I need to protect myself. I need to go back to my throne in Hell. My demons will be able to guard me. I'll send one for you the minute the baby is coming."

"What about the morphine?"

"It can only be used once every three human years. It won't work otherwise."

"Is this the only option?"

"Yes."

"If that's what is best for you and the baby, then I won't stop you. Just be careful."

Tears stream down her face. She places a hand on my cheek, bringing me in for a kiss before she, too, vanishes into thin air.
