2004...
"Remember when poach lights come on-"
"It's time to come inside. I know mom." I mimicked her.
"Okay you can go play. Stay in the backyard where I can see you." My mom kissed the top of my head and I ran out the back door from the kitchen without saying anything.
We were at my grandparents cabin for summer vacation. I hopped on my bike and circled around in the open backyard. There were a bunch of trees and I decided to follow the little path that leads to the lake near us. It wasn't out of my mom's kitchen window view anyways.
As I'm getting close to the lake I catch a glimpse of something poking it's head out of the water. I stopped got of my bike and run to the deck to take a closer look. When I got to the edge it had disappeared. Was it a fish? I shrugged. I looked around about to walk up the deck to sit and wait to see if it comes up again. Then the strangest thing happened the front part of the deck was a different color from the part I was standing on.
Where I was standing was dark brown wood and the part I was looking at the wood was painted red. I rubbed my eyes to make sure I wasn't seeing things. I walked closer to witness something wierd glistening, it looked like an invisible wall. I observed in awe, what is this? I hovered my hands in front of it.
Then the thing I spotted earlier popped out of the water again. Could it be a crocodile but grandma and grandpa said there were no crocos in these waters. I peered closer at it. It was doing the same, staring at me from where it was. I raise my hands and waved at it then it risen from the water revealing itself to me. I screamed and ran back home as fast as I can.

"Monster!" I screamed as both my parents ran out of the house panicked.
"Sweetie what happend?" My mom asked wary.
"Are you hurt?" My dad checked on me.
"Monster." I pointed in the direction of the lake in fear crying.
"What sweetheart what are you talking about there are no monsters in that lake?" dad said.
"I saw it! It looked like... it's looked like... the Loch Ness monster."
"Hunny are you sure it wasn't just a big fish?" mom asked.
"Why don't you believe me. I saw it." I cried. Both my parents looked at each other.
"Okay I'm going to go take a look and see if it's there. If it is I can scare it away okay?" dad spoke. I looked at my mom and back at him and nodded.
"How about we go inside and get ready for dinner? Ice Cream for dessert to make you feel better?" Mom said and I nodded sniffing.

The Ancient Core: A Progression Fantasy
The title of [The Ancient One] is bestowed upon an unassuming, forgotten Core. Hidden deep underground, it lies in wait, biding its time as it learns the rules of its surroundings. Roaming beasts and unknown threats surely threaten the little rock as it sticks to the darkness, its one true refuge. This is a slow-burning Dungeon-Core fiction with a LitRPG-System. You can expect an extreme amount of kingdom-building, an more in-depth Mana-System, and a Evolution-System. Chapters are between the length of 2-4k words, though the first 50 will likely be closer to 4k. Anything after will have the average be 2.5k. I personally like explaining how things work a lot, so do have that in mind if you decide to read this fiction. The Villain's Double Life
“The Villain’s Double Life as the Hero’s Mentor," “Demon Nobles Want to Live Too: A Hero-Raising Simulator for the Transmigrated Villain," “Just Because I’m a Villain Doesn’t Mean I Want the World to End!” Cyrus Calvide was the second son of an aristocratic lord; haughty, vain and power-hungry. One day, when his ancestral inheritance manifested, he discovered he was able to steal other’s powers and abilities using demonic magic. Taking this as a sign that he was destined to rule over others and become the new king of this land, he poisoned his father, killed his elder brother, and embarked on the path to greatness, taking advantage of a demonic invasion to consolidate power and harvest the abilities of others in a cruel and bloody fashion. Until he was summarily defeated by the Hero as a mid-game boss battle and executed for his crimes, of course. When a dedicated fan of the RPG “Next to Eden” awakened in the body of the cruelest future Count, four years before the beginning of the game, he pledged to live humbly. He would let his brother lead and support the Hero from the shadows to ensure the demon invasion would be defeated and he could enjoy life in peace. Rather, he would have, if he hadn’t gotten the Hero’s mentor killed in a freak monster attack before the Hero’s training could even begin. How was he supposed to live a life of peace and luxury if the Hero couldn’t stop the end of the world!? Donning a mask, Cyrus took up mentoring the Hero himself; how hard could it possibly be? . . . Four years later, the kind jack-of-all-trades hero Leon had become a twisted powerhouse: alienating his party members, clearing enemy encounters in a single magical blast, and coldly ignoring the affections of the girl whose love would have allowed him to clear the final boss. He seemed to have plastered himself to his Master’s side, instead. Cyrus bit back his despair while the hero reached out to grasp his hand. “Please stop ignoring the saint, Leon; you can't beat the Demon King by grinding stats! You need the power of love, remember?” “Don’t worry, Master,” Leon smiled as he traced the lines of Cyrus’s palm gently, almost reverently. “I have all the love I need.” VDL is two parts plot and worldbuilding, one part slow-build gay romance, starring a man far too proud to admit he's in over his head and the hero who loves him. Should be updating weekly.
