Shahnoor's POV :-
"ISN'T IT READY YET?!" He shouted for the 4th time.
Everything's going alright until this morning, we together offered our fajr salah than got ready as well. When we came at the dining table for breakfast, everyone already started eating. I was about to sit down on the chair when he stopped me and told me to make breakfast for him. Jameela aunty told him that there's so much on the table for breakfast, why is he telling me to make differently for him? But he said that from now onwards he will eat whatever I will cook for him and he won't eat anything made by the home chefs.
I, on the other hand got all bewildered on this new challenge from him, but with lots of embarrassment, in front of everyone I declared that I don't know how to cook properly. So, he being all that arrogant jerk, ya Allah I am sorry for calling him that but what should I do? He insulted me in front of everyone, taunting me that I only know how to break someone else's house and shouted on me to cook whatever I know for now while giving me time limits of 30 minutes, like seriously. I can only make rotis in such time and that too if I calm myself but its just 35 minute happened and he already started shouting.
"Isn't it ready? Sir is getting really angry?" One of the maid came running in with nervousness written all over her face.
"I-I a-am trying, ju-just five minutes." I said while rolling the aloo-paratha (Wheat bread stuffed with potatoes).
"Do it quick ma'am." She said with a hurry, I nodded.
My hands are already shivering, so is my heartbeats. Is he a hulk or what? Can't he keep calm until I cook. I put a spoon full of ghee on the pan than the paratha on it, after flipping it two to three times on high flame, its done. I quickly put the paratha on the plate than applied some butter and malai on it, the maid told me he likes to eat malai a lot.
"WILL YOU GIVE ME BREAKFAST TODAY OR TOMORROW?!" He shouted again, my heart isn't functioning normally at this moment I swear I am so dead.
I only cook one paratha in half an hour, if ammi would be here than she would felt proud but no she isn't here. No one loves me here, they all look at me with narrow eyes and disgust. Tears pool my eyes as I remember their look from earlier.
"Its done." I told to the maid, she nodded and took the plate than went out.
I sighed in relief and sat down on the floor. I felt so tired, I never worked like this before. Alhamdulillah, I know about the simple indian recipes.
"SHAHNOOR!" My heart jumped when he yelled my name.
Now What?! Jaan lelo meri! (Take my life). I got up with a heavy sigh and went out. I am being all messed up with the flour all over my salwar-suit, face and hair. They all look at me as I walked nervously towards him. The maid who took the plate is crying while looking down, poor she. I too am poor though, my poor life.

"Why didn't you bring the plate out? Why is she serving me the breakfast when you are here?!" He shouted on my face.
I closed my eyes, while clenching my jaw to keep calm and do not spit out anything that I'll regret later. Of course, she is the one you hired for this work.
"ANSWER ME!" He shouted again, I took a deep breath.
"I..am sorry." Is what all I said.
"From now onwards, you will do my each and every work. Got it! No one will interfere in my work other than my wife!" He said showing his index finger, I nodded.
"Shahzaib calm down, she is still a kid." Raees uncle said with light tone.
'Oh Allah, there's someone who took my side, thank you.' I thought.
"It would be better if she learns everything faster uncle, will be good for her health." He said looking in my eyes.
Tears after tears roll down my cheeks as I felt embarrassed. He took a deep breath while pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Shahzaib beta(son) don't take tension because of this dumb girl, eat your breakfast and calm down." Jameela aunty said looking at me with her obvious look.
"Yeah yeah Shahzaib bhai, you should calm down." Rania said mockingly with a hint of smirk.
I sighed in tiredness, I want to sleep. I didn't slept all night cause I was so close to him that this stupid heart of mine didn't calmed itself at all. Than I walk earlier in the morning for fajr and now this. I wanted to rest alone.
"Why did you make only one paratha? What about you?" He asked looking at me and thanks to Allah, this time he asked with calm yet tired tone.
"I ca-can't co-cook that fa-fast, that's wh-why I only made one. I-its okay, you e-eat. I am no-not hungry." I said, looking down while wiping my tears with my hands.
"Sure you are not hungry, sit down." He said.
I am about to sit down when he stopped me again. Now what? He walked closer to me, I look at him than he circle his arm around my back and took a hold of the dupatta than placed it on my head.
"Do not remove your dupatta from your head when you are in front of everyone." He said with husky voice, I look down and nodded.
"Look at you, were you doing some kind of war in the kitchen?" He said while removing his handkerchief from the pocket than he clean my face and hair with it.
I don't understand this man, what is he exactly? Like not hours ago he is all that beast and now taking care of me like this. I think he needs psychiatrist's help, my poor husband.
"Now sit down." He said while sitting down on his chair.
I pulled the next chair closer to him and sat down. He pushed the plate of paratha Slightly towards me, I look at him confusingly.
"Feed me." He said, my heart thud on his command.
What did he said? Like, I need to feed him. Is he a kid? Why would I feed him?
"You can feed yourself, wh-"
"No, I can't feed myself cause of this. So as a duty of being my wife, baccha you need to help me eating this." He said showing me his wounded hand, changing his attitude all 360 degree around and cutting me off.
I furrow my brows looking at his right wounded hand which is dress in white gauze bandage. Huh, I need to change his dressing as well than give him medicine. Uff! How can I forget that I have to give him a pill before his breakfast, Ya Allah thank you for reminding me.

"Ok, I'll feed you but wait here." I said while standing from my seat.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"To bring your medicine." I said and walked out of the place, than I made a quick run towards the elevator and went in his room.
I open the drawer where I kept the medicines this morning when firoz bhai brought them. After taking the pill, I quickly walk down towards the dining hall. He is waiting there, looking at his watch on his wrist. I quickly walk towards him and gave him the medicine. He silently took it with little amount of water.
"I can't believe you took your medicine without doing any tantrums." Rania said looking at him with surprise.
"Yeah, that's so new of you Shahzaib." Jameela aunty said while firoz bhai and raees uncle just smile.
"Bhai doesn't want to bother shahno cause she is new here." Firoz said with a naughty smirk.
"That's true, I don't want to bother her that much." He said looking at me.
I blush looking down than I sat down on my chair and took the plate towards me. Taking a piece of paratha, I hesitantly put it towards his mouth. After helping him eat the half of the paratha, he stopped me but he needs to eat it cause if he won't eat it than how will the medicine work.
"You should eat the whole paratha, you have just taken your medicine. You need to eat accordingly." I said looking at him with furrowed brows.
"If I will eat the whole than what will you eat?" He asked.
"Its okay, I am not that hungry." I said slowly.
"No, you have to take your medicines as well baccha. So eat it." He said looking at me.
"Bu-"
"Shut up and eat!" This time he said in a strict tone.
I look down biting my lips as I slowly started eating the half paratha. After eating it, we stood up. He went up in his study and I went in the kitchen. I have warmed some milk than put dry fruits in them than I have cooked it until it got two to three time boiled up. After taking it out in a glass, I closed the glass with a small lid and went in his study. I softly knock on his study door, after hearing a rough 'Come in' I went in.
He is talking on phone while his broad back covered in fine grey suit jacket facing me. I put the milk on the desk as I wait for him to end his call. After he done talking on the phone, he turn towards me while putting his phone in his pant pocket.
"What it is?" He asked.
"I made this for you as you haven't eaten your breakfast properly, drink it. Its really good for your health." I said with a light smile.
I remove the lid from the glass and took it towards him. He look at it for a while than took it from me.
"Why are you acting up being all good to me? Like I thought you won't forgive me for what I did to your family and to you." He said as he put the glass on the desk and sat on the edge of the desk.
"I am..trying to take care of you." I said, honestly.
"You don't need to." He said with neutral face, I look down than sighed in sadness.
I started walking towards the door but he hold my wrist, making me look at him.
"If you really care for me than tell me where she is?" He asked, piercing his intent gaze in mine.
I gulp looking at him as I slightly removed my hand from his hold.
"I.. I am..your.. Wife," I said looking at him with tearful gaze.
"I won't..take it..lightly if you.. Ta-talk about another..woman in front of me." I said, mostly glaring at him through the blurry vision of mine.
Than I started walking towards the door but gasped when he suddenly turned me around and my back hit the wooden door. He came so close, his minty breath fanning over my face as his ocean blue eyes look at me with a hint of amusement.
"Won't take it lightly when I talk about another woman?" He asked mocking while raising an eyebrow, I put myself together and nodded.
"But she is my wife, what will you say about this baccha?" He asked, breaking my heart.
I look at him, he is so close. His left hand rested on the door behind me and right one holding my shoulder. His breath fanning my face while his deep curious eyes pierced into my nervous one. And his overpowering Cologne of musk and fresh smell isn't helping either.
"Per.. Ab mein aapki.. Biwi hu. Mein... Aapko kisi.. K saath share nahi karungi..(But now I am your wife, I won't share you with anyone else.)" I said, making it an excuse so that he forgot about farah and stop asking me about her.
"Than you must fulfill a wife's duty, don't you baccha?" He said in a husky tone.
"I.. I am trying." I said with nervousness.
"Okay than.. Let me try my right over my little wife." He said coming closer, his hand on my shoulder slide towards my left wrist, holding it with a tight squeeze.
My back stick to the wooden door as I kept pushing myself behind. He came so close, so close that I stopped breathing. My eyes couldn't allow itself to look elsewhere but his eyes. Our noses touched as he slide his nose over my cheek and closed his eyes while his lips almost came closer to mine. I suck in my breath as he came dangerously closer.
'Ya Allah, I put everything on you. He is my husband and he has every right over me.' With that thought, I closed my eyes. Letting him take the control over me.
Knock! Knock!
"Bhai?" We heard firoz bhai's voice from the other side of the door.
He quickly backed away from me, leaving me still in the shocking state. What just happened now? Ya Allah, I was about to have my first Kiss! Like my first kiss! I clutch on my chest, closing my eyes. He turn around looking at me with concern.
"You okay? What happened?" He asked.
What do you mean by what happened? Of course you just gave me an heart attack. I shook my head than turn around. I heard him saying a dull 'Come in' than the door open and firoz bhai came in. He exchange a look between us.
"Bhai, we need to get to the office. Abu daud has released all the sweepers this morning." Firoz bhai said with an urgency in his tone, I look at him with confusion.
What does he mean by that? Daud did what? What are these sweepers? He look at me than signal something to firoz bhai. Firoz bhai shifted with discomfort but nodded.
"Baccha, go get ready for the college. I'll drop you by." He said to me.
I wanted to know more about what they are talking. But I know he is very smart, won't let me know anything. Uff! I walked out of the study than went in his room. Walking in the wardrobe, I look through the dresses.
"Why are here so many of these?" I mumble in frustration looking through the Pakistani dresses.
Finally I found a simple neon green salwar - suit, I quickly changed into it.
Than combed my hair, making a low messy bun cause if I start making braid than I won't finish till night, Only if ammi would be here. I miss her so much, what will she think of me after knowing about this marriage?
Knock! Knock!
"Baccha, aren't you ready yet?" He asked, knocking on the wardrobe's door.
"Coming!" I said.
After walking in the room, I saw him standing near the huge balcony with his both hands in his pocket while he look out with a face I can't describe.
I clear my throat to take his attention, he turn around with a smile?
"You know one thing I got clear off," He said, I look at him with furrowed brows.
"A woman has the power to change a man, even if he has a rock-bottom heart." He continue, I still couldn't understand it.
"What? Didn't understand anything?" He asked walking towards me.
"Did you..by any chance.. Know Abu daud?" He asked, I suck a sharp breath on hearing daud's name.
What should I say? Should I tell him the truth? Or not? If I say the truth than what will he do? Ya Allah, help me please.
"Tell me, do you know him baccha? Cause.." He said while looking at me, mostly to find something within my expressions.
"He continue to a show his attractions towards yo-"
"I don't know!" I quickly cut him while looking in his eyes.
"I..don't know.. Who you are talking about?" I said while gulping and looking away.
"I hope you are telling me the truth cause my little wife.. If I got to know the opposite news of this than you have be ready for the consequences." He said putting his index finger under my chin, making me look up at him.
I nodded still not looking at him.
"What about your hair? Why they look so messy?" He asked scanning my hair, I blush looking down.
"I..I am getting late for college and I can't handle my hair easily." I said.
"What is it that you can do properly?" He asked while chuckling.
"I can do everything properly if I do it with my whole heart except my hair cause ammi use to make my hair everyday." I said while pouting.
"Why not?" He said still laughing and tapping his index finger over my pouty lips, this little gesture send chills to my spine.
"Now go wear your abaya or else you'll be late." He said, I nodded.
"Wait!" I said, I have to change his hand's dressing.
"Now what?" He asked.
"Sit down, I have to change your bandage." I said walking towards the bed side table and taking out the first aid box.
He sat on the bed, I put the box there and sat as well. After discarding the previous dressing, I did it again. All while I can see that he is examining my moments with that professional eyes of his.
"Done." I said, keeping everything in the box.
"Not bad, you actually know how to do it correctly." He said.
"Of course, farah thought m-" I stopped in between, knowing I just brought her name in front of him.
I look at him, he is clenching his jaw tightly while his hand fisted.
"I'll...wear my abaya or else we'll be late." I said, getting up.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"What's with the glow on your face?" Hareem asked looking at me with her suspicious hazel eyes.
"Yeah~ right, what's with the glow shahno?" Rubana asked.
"What do you mean by glow? I.. I am like how I look always." I said with a hint of nervousness.
I didn't told them about the marriage and all. Although he dropped off in front of my friends and they asked me why my brother-in-law dropped me here, so I lied to them by telling that we met accidentally and he told me that he will drop me here. Now we are sitting in the canteen and trust me this investigator friends of mine can't stop interrogating me.
"I can't believe you for now shahno, you are looking very different and there is slightly we can see a kind glow on your face and that beauty is just enchanting. You know you can tell us.." Iram said, folding her hands over her chest.
I started fidgeting my fingers in my lap, clearing my throat I look at them.
"You are my friends, believe me." I said with an hint of sadness.
'I am sorry everyone but I'll tell you the truth once I'll get adjust to this situation.' I thought looking at them.
"Shahno, I even saw that brother-in-law of your's planting a kiss on your forehead before you walk out of the car." Sofia said, my heart dropped.
How can she have such a sharp gaze? Ya Allah, does he really need to kiss my forehead before leaving. What should I do? He has put me in such difficult situation.
"Is it true? Really shahno?" Iram asked.
I look away with a heavy sigh.
"Ye-yes, it's ju-just that he-he has a...a habit of doing it!" I lied.
"Habit of what? Kissing?" Hareem asked.
I clenched my jaw, what's wrong with her? Is she want to kill me? Uffff!
"I don't know, please change the topic." I said with an irritation.
