《broken walls // taeny》10- Stupid

I walked downstairs to the kitchen and I clutched my chest.
"Even after so long, it hurts." I hung my head low and clenched my jaw in attempt to stop tears that might flow down.
I can't cry, not when Tiffany is here.
"What hurts?" I felt a hand on my shoulder and I jump in shock.
"YAH! " I yell at her but she seems emotionless.
"Ok whatever. What's for lunch?" She grabbed my hand and dragged me to the fridge.
She opens the fridge and expects to see loads of food in this big house.
"NO FOOD?!" She shouts in disbelief before turning to me.
"What do you expect if no one has stepped foot in here after like years?" I raise my eye brow and she groans in frustration.
"Yah. What will we eat then?" She sits on a chair and rubs her flat stomach.
"Well we can go grocery shopping after lunch. So we can eat out." I shrug my shoulders and she bolts out the kitchen and up the stairs.
"I WILL CHANGE JUST WAIT!" She yells from upstairs and I just chuckle at her antics.
There really is no food in this fridge. Where's the maid?
Oh yeah, if no one lives here how will she get paid? So there must be no maid here then. But this place looks awfully clean, no dust. Did uncle hire someone to clean the house? Or did they comeba- never, they wouldn't dare to.
If she has a new family, then what did oppa do to her? Obviously he said that he will keep her but she has a new family? Was he unable to keep her? Did she have to go to an orphanage?
I dragged my feet to the kitchen table and leaned on it.
What about oppa? What's he up to? Is he married? Did he marry his girlfriend? Did he not invite me to the wedding? Does he really hate me?
Looks like one of my hobbies is clenching my jaw.
I hear feet stumbling down the stairs and I know it's Tiffany. Who else would it be right?
"TAEYEON-AH! I'M DRESSED NOW!" She bursts into the room looking, well great. I mustn't lie right?
She's wearing a shirt that says "EACH X OTHER" with short shorts.
Even though it's simple, she still looks stunning. I won't lie but I simply won't say it to her.
"How is it?" She spins around and is anticipated to hear my answer.
"Fine." I turn around and take a deep breath.
"How do I look in it?"
"Fine." I grab a glass and pour water in it.

"Just fine?" I hear her croak in dissapointment and when I turn to her, her expression seems, sad.
"Wha? I never said you look bad ok?" I gave her a glass and she places it on the counter.
"So I don't look good?" She shows me her puppy eyes and I thank the Lord for my cold exterior.
"Yeah you look good. Now I'm going to change." I say swiftly and gulp down my water.
I turn to her and her eyes are crescents which is simply breath taking.
I run upstairs and barge into my room. I close the door and clutch onto piece of clothing that's covering my heart.
"Deep breath Taeyeon-ah. Don't let her bother you." I take deep breaths as I count to 10.
When my heart beat seems steady I change into some clothes, just a black and white cardigan with some black short shorts. I apply light makeup and put some belongings into a small bag. Just like a wallet, power bank etc.
I go downstairs to Tiffany and see she's using her phone. Maybe messaging someone?
"Hey." I call out to her and see she's pouting.
"Why are you pouting?" I roll my eyes at her waiting for her answer.
"No wifi?" She asks.
"Well no one is here so why would there be wifi? I have unlimited data if you want to use it?" I held out my phone and she immediately nods.
She connects her phone to my data and she smiles at me.
"Thanks."
"Not a problem. Now let's go. I'm hungry." I stand up and she follows.
We walk out of the house and Tiffany walks to my car.
If we're going out what happens if she will get lost? I don't want to lose her. Wait what? Dammit she needs my number.
"Hey. Give me your phone." I stick my hand towards her.
She gives me a confused look and I just roll my eyes.
"Yah I will put my number in, what happens if you will get lost?" I raise my eyebrow and she hands me her phone.
I type in my contact information and hand it back to her without putting my name.
I see her type something and soon she shows me it.
It says, Tae💙.
"Why a heart? Why a blue heart? Why can't you just put my name?" I unlock the car and get inside.
She follows and replies "Because it's cold and hidden. ALSOOOO, I will be calling you TaeTae from now on! But I will keep it as Tae! Now hand me your phone." The eye-smile girl sticks out her hand and I place my phone in it.

"THERE!" She shows me her contact information which says, FANY🎀.
"Whatever." I sigh and grab my phone.
After grocery shopping, I start the car and drive off, heading to a restaurant I'm familiar with.
Soon we arrive and I get out of the car. I walk into the restaurant with Tiffany tagging along. Weirdly, she seems scared.
"TAEYEON-AH!" I hear a person shout for me and I smile at the person.
"Boa unnie!" I shout back at her and run to hug her.
I forgot about my cold exterior that Tiffany knows. But now she sees me without the cold exterior. Looks like she really is unveiling me, while I'm unconsciously helping her.
"I haven't seen you in 3 years!" Boa unnie makes gestures around my body and I smile at her.
"I've missed you unnie." I hug her once again.
"I've missed you to. Now who's this?" She points towards Tiffany.
"This is Miyoung Hwa-"
"YAH!" She slaps my arm.
"I'm Hwang, I hate being called Miyoung. Nice to meet you." She does a perfect 90° bow.
"She's cute Taengoo! You guys are so cute together!" Boa unnie makes more hand gestures, but this time around Tiffany and I.
"YAH! Unnie! What are you saying?!" I ask in disbelief despite my red cheeks.
"She's just a person I know! She tagged along with me." I pout towards Boa unnie and she laughs.
"Well, you are blushing so if you're not married and you marry someone else, I will give back your large dookong." She holds her hand out and at the moment she said 'large dookong' I was already in the bet.
We shake hands and we take a seat.
I couldn't help but notice Tiffany's emotion. She seems, down.
"Hey are you ok?" I ask and she ignored me while opening the menu.
"Yah."
"What?!" Tiffany snapped at me and caught me by surprise.
"Why are you so mad?" I asked the American girl but she didn't answer.
"Aish. Are you ready to order?" I questioned her and she glared at me.
"I sit down and you expect me to be ready with my order?!" She slaps the menu shut and I stare at her, expressionless.
"I'm right. Hah." She starts to laugh but in a bitter way.
"About what?"
"Coming with you. I'm so... so stupid!!" She slams the table and runs out the restaurant.
I ignore the stares given to us by the customers in the restaurant. I'm still in shock and I had no time to react.
"Taeyeon what happened?" Boa unnie placed her hand on my shoulder but I didn't reply.
Ignoring Boa unnie, I storm up and run after Tiffany. Why? I have no idea why. I just have a feeling that I have to run after her.
I turn my head back and forth to look for her. This is an unknown place to her. Plus, the language they speak here is different.
I didn't speak my dialect to Boa unnie, so I think she's mad at the conversation? I run forward because she wouldn't be that smart to run to either the left or right.
Once I'm at an intersection, I see her asking many people something, probably directions?
I run to her and grab her wrist.
"What do you think your doing?!" I force her to face me and glare at her.
"I'm going back to your house to to back to Seoul. I want to pick my things up and leave you here. You wanted to be alone right?" Her words hit me like a brick.
They were pretty harsh and because of my cold exterior I couldn't say anything. I had an ego I had to hold up and I had the urge to tell her not to to because I actually am enjoying her presence.
"Can't answer? I thought I could help you. I wanted you to open up to me. I wanted you to see me as a friend! You can't do that can you?! Why am I keeping my hopes up?! You kissed me on the cheek, you're slowly opening up but in the end you close right before I can do anything! Why are you so stubborn?! You might have had a shitty event that happened years ago but I want to help you. Why can't you let me help you? Are you really trying to help me understand you? Do you want me to leave? I'm not helping you in any way right? If you want to be alone I will leave you alone. I was just trying to help you! You were slowly opening! I know! But you just had to get your strong and annoying ego in the way! So I will leave, that's what you want right? For me to leave? You having this vacation alone, right? I'm just a person you know, right?" She literally screams at me causing people's attentions directing towards us.
Tiffany turns her back on me and starts to walk away.
I walk up to her and grab her wrist.
"No."
