"Baseball?" Anastasia asks Jasper in disbelief for the hundredth time this minute. "YOu want me to come and watch you play baseball?"
"I do," Jasper nods relatively unbothered. "But why?" she exclaims. "It's a bunch of people throwing a ball, hitting it and running around in a circle." "It's a little more than that," he chuckles. "You won't regret it, darlin'."
"I'm sure I will," she sighs.
Grinning at that, Jasper leans over to kiss her gently. They never bothered to talk about where they stand but also don't really need to. Anastasia would probably feel caged were they to put a label on it and Jasper doesn't mind for as long as he has her. And he does have her. It's all that matters.
"You're wearing jeans," Jasper observes when Anastasia makes her way downstairs a few minutes later. "It's raining. Rain on thighs is disgusting," she shrugs.
"I like them. Your ass looks great. Although it's not supposed to rain tonight." he shrugs with a smirk. Seeing his eyes darken just a tad, Anastasia simply rolls her eyes at him while grabbing her coat, which hangs down to the mids of her thighs. "Shame."
Grabbing her beanie as well, she looks at it unhappy for a moment before putting it on and adjusting her hair.
"You look beautiful," Jasper steps in front of her and pushes her hair down. Readjusting her strands himself, he holds his hand out for her. "You don't mind me driving your car, do you?" he raises a brow at her. "If there is as much as a scratch, I will set you on fire," she threatens him while he gets the car keys.
"I wouldn't expect anything less."
Meeting up with the rest of his family minus Edward, Anastasia quickly settles for staying with Rosalie and Esme.
"Where's Antonina?" she asks the blonde, who turns to look away from Emmett for a second. "She's staying over at her friend Hanna's for the weekend."
"Did Jasper tell you Bella's coming?" Emmett makes his way over to them and Anastasia turns to glare at Jasper, who is sending her an apologetic smile. "No, he left out that tiny little detail."

"You would have never come had I told you," he calls loud enough for her to hear. "Of course not. That's the point."
"So, how's it going spitfire?" Emmett asks her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders she quickly shakes off. "Did you get him to obey already?" he grins at her. "Hey!" he turns to Rosalie when she nudges his side harshly at that.
"Did you know he was willing to trade you for my car?" Anastasia turns to Rosali with a raised brow. "I was not," Emmett quickly defends himself. "I would," the blonde shrugs simply.
"Did you tell Jasper you stole the car?" "You did what?" Jasper finally makes his way over. "Why are you so shocked about this. I literally took you shoplifting yesterday " she points out. "Yeah, which was bad enough. But a car? How were you not caught?"
"I'm not stupid. I changed the license plates and had someone issue me a vehicle title and registration and all that shit," Anastasia tells him unbothered. "You're a criminal." "You love it."
They turn towards the two people approaching them and Anastasia's lip curls up in distaste. Mind-rapist and his little human toy. How fun.
"It'll be fine," Jasper wraps his arms around her from behind, taking in her scent as he kisses the back of her head. He can already smell Isabella and she hasn't even exited the car yet. "Hm, it better be."
Alice seems to be the only one truly excited to see them and dances over to them. Esme and Emmett talk to Edward and Georgia, Rosalie and Anastasia are busy glaring at the two.
"It's time," Alice exclaims shortly before thunder rumbles in the sky.
Jasper breathes another kiss to the back of her head before turning her head slightly to press his lips against hers. And for a moment they allow themselves to get distracted. Anastasia's hands come up to the back of his neck, her fingers playing with the tips of his hair and Jasper's hands slide down her sides, one coming to her back to squeeze her ass.
"I really like those jeans," he mumbles while pulling away. Slapping his chest, she stands on her tippy toes to kiss him one last time. "Go win, you pervert." "Anything for you, ma'am."

Anastasia watches him walk off, biting her lip when his eyes meet hers. His hand is twirling the bat fastly in his hand and seemingly without any effort. It's attractive in a way she can't explain.
Isabella too makes her way over to them and Anastasia sighs.
"How is he doing?" Esme asks her. Whether because she really wants to converse or because she sees the annoyed expression, she doesn't know. "Jasper?" Anastasia turns to look at her instead. "He's still a pain in my ass. So, he's doing quite good," she tells her honestly.
Esme has taken on the mother role and Anastasia respects that enough to at least try and be nice. With Carlisle as well.
"That's good. He deserves it. But maybe have him check in with us more. I miss him." "I'll make sure he does."
Bella helps Esme play referee while Anastasia is still rather busy staring at Jasper, who's still showing off. And although he's not looking in her direction, she can see the smirk tugging on his lips.
It's only when he makes his way over when it's his turn that he looks at her again, his smirk widening a little more.
"My fingers are quite skilled aren't they?" he teases her a little. "They certainly are," she mirrors his smirk. "But so are mine. You can't imagine the things I can do to myself in the dark."
Tilting her head when his smirk falls a little, her own smirk turns into an innocent smile. "Good luck."
"How is he this calm around you?" Isabella asks her but Anastasia doesn't bother to look at her. Jasper's more interesting.
"I'll get you back for that." "I'm sure you will."
"Why wouldn't he be?" she eventually does glance at Isabella. "You're to him what I'm to Edward," Isabella states. "First, that's not true. Second, even if it were, Jasper and I have known each other far longer. And Jasper and Edward are not the same people. Of course, they act differently."
"What do you mean that's not true?" "I don't know. Why don't you go ask the vampires about the vampire business and leave the human alone?" Anastasia is starting to grow annoyed again.
They play for quite some time. Or well, they don't play all that long but they play fast. Anastasia lost track of the score about two minutes in and interest not soon after. Games are no fun when you can't see what's happening. And Jasper has stopped playing with his bat, which is a shame, really.
"Alice?" Esme'S concerned voice grabs her attention and she looks to the pixie, who's now in the arms of Georgia. Edward too has sped over to Bella and Jasper is slowly making his way over to her. "I didn't see. I couldn't tell."
"What is it, Alice?" Carlisle asks her while Jasper slips his hand around her waist. "They were travelling much quicker than I thought. I can see I had the perspective wrong before." "What changed?" Georgie chirms in, surprisingly tenderly.
"They heard us playing, and it changed their path."
Jasper's grip tightens around her and Anastasia brings her hand up to rest upon his, her thumb draws circles on it, trying to calm him down.
"Less than five minutes. They're running. They want to play."
"Can you make it?" Carlisle turns to both Jasper and Edward. "No, not carrying... besides, the last thing we want is for them to catch scent and start hunting," Edward shakes his head. "He's right," Jasper whispers for Anastasia's sake.
"How many?" Emmett speaks up. "Three." "Three. Let them come," he scoffs, flexing his muscles a little.
"Let's just continue the game," Carlisle shakes his head at him. "Alice said they were simply curious."
"You'll be okay. I won't let anything happen to you. You know that, right?" Jasper steps in front of Anastasia while the others get back to playing. "I know. My hero," she jokes.
"You'll catch, Esme. I'll call it now," Edward decides against continuing the game. "Take your hair down," he tells Isabella afterwards.
Hair down? Doesn't this like give more surface to spread the scent?
"The others are coming now," Isabella observes a little frightened while Jasper is glancing at Anastasia in worry. But he also knows hovering over her will only make them suspicious and he can't have that.
"It'll be okay," he mouths instead, her lips curling into a smile. "I know. I got you by my side."

I, Mor-eldal: The Necromancer Thief
As a budding little necromancer, I soon discovered that the world of city people is complicated. When my master kicked me out of the cave, he warned me not to talk about my “dark” magic, because people here don't like the undead. I am not really an undead, I just have a skeleton hand, but it is better to be careful. Anyway, that's not my biggest worry. In the Black Dagger brotherhood, I learn a lot of things, such as illusionist magic, which turns out to be quite handy to survive in this maze of streets: in the Cat Quarter, we have thugs of all kinds that are best avoided. But we also have good people, goodhearted “gwaks”, as we say around here. Little did I know that I would soon be caught up in an infamous traffic that would entangle my life even more. With a mix of lighthearted adventure and picaresque, this story narrates the hectic life of a good-spirited street child and his companions in a medieval urban fantasy setting with some nineteenth-century influences. Updates Mondays and Fridays. This is a Creative Commons By work. It is a translation of a trilogy I wrote in Spanish between 2017 and 2018.
