《Whatever》Chapter 16

Mom smiled at me and said, "Yes you heard me right. While the rest of us are going on a cruise, you, Rose and Christian will be here. Christian will be going to your school now. The boarding school he went to just about had enough of his ways." The she chuckled. I just stared at my parents in shock. Finally gaining my voice back, "I-I thought yo-you would ask about what happened."
My dad looked at me for a while and then his eyes soften. "Jess, we're going on this cruise so that we won't interfere with your mate issues. When me and your mom were at your age, her parents went away for two months and within that time a whole lot of drama happened but it was worth it because if it hadn't been for that, you wouldn't be here today." Dad said in a quiet voice.
"Gran and granddad knew that something had happened to me on the day of my birthday though I never told them. Instead of asking, they decided to give me some space and went on a cruise to let me follow my heart to solve my problems." mom said while placing her hands on dad's shoulder. "Gran and granddad did that?" I asked confusingly.
They nodded slowly. Well, if mom was able to solve her problems while gran and grandad were away then why not try it. I said while shrugging, "All right. Have fun on your trip guys." As my hand touched the door knob I heard mom say in a soft voice, "No matter what happens Jess, know we'll support your choices."
I walked out of there and went straight to my room, my mind reeling from today's events.
I decided to open up my gifts to see what my friends and family got for me. I got mostly clothes, books, bracelets and beanies but none of them could compare to my black beanie. As I folded up one of my new shirts , my eyes stopped themselves on Carter's gift on my shelf. My heart was longing for me to open the small parcel but I was obstinate in my decision.
I will not open it.
After that, I threw away all the gift wrappers and had just changed into my pyjamas when I heard a small thud. I walked out of my closet and listened the noise and followed it slowly towards my window. My window kept moving and I realized someone was actually throwing pebbles at my window.

Curious, I went towards my balcony and opened the door. I went to the edge of the railing with the wind blowing away my hair. As soon as I looked over the edge, I groaned inwardly and crossed my arms on the railing while glaring at him.
"Why are you here?" I asked, my voice cold.
He looked up at me and replied, "It's because I wanted to know what you thought of my gift." I glared at Carter. He's got some nerve asking me that. After some time, I just walked away from him and slammed my balcony door shut only for it to be stopped an inch away. Then as fast as lightning, Carter came in my room and slammed me against the wall; one hand holding both my wrists above my head and the other covering my mouth.
"Never slam the door in my face and not answer my question love." I glared at him and struggled against his grip.
How dare he!
He rejected me, and now he wants to know what I think of his gift! Is this guy on drugs or something? Because I have never seen a guy change from one emotion to another. Carter then started to sniff the crook of my neck and made me shiver involuntarily. He looked up and stared at me, amused at my reaction. I seethed at his reaction and then kneed him.
He fell to the ground while clutching his dick while I stood there glaring down at him, my hands on my hips. "Get the fuck out of my room. I don't ever want your disgusting hands on me again." I stated in a cold tone then went on my balcony and waited for him to get out. "Hate me already do you?" he asked while wincing a bit.
I growled out, "I have every right to be. Now shoo." He sighed in defeat then climbed the tree back down to the ground while I walked back angrily into my room and slammed the door shut and locked it tightly. I then shut every curtain in my room, making sure that he wouldn't be able to spy on me if he was still outside.
Tired by the days events and knowing that I'll be worse if I don't go to bed, I slept peacefully, with a blond boy haunting my dreams.
When I awoke, the first thing I saw was my mural on my ceiling and felt the urge to shift and go to my spot. I stripped off my pyjamas and opened my balcony door open. I shifted into my wolf and leaped from my balcony to the grassy floor.

The pounding of my paws against the ground, the wind in my face and making my fur run wild. The scent of the forest increased ten fold and made me calm at once. After a while, I stopped to walk to a lake nearby to have a drink of water. After drinking, I looked at my reflection and tilted my head to the left in shock.
My once auburn fur was now black!
Thinking I was insane, I looked at my tail and saw that it was black as well! I decided to chase my tail while just to see if my back was black which it was! Everything about my wolf has changed. My head, body, tail and paws. I stepped away from the pond slowly and ran back quickly to my house and howled outside the front door. A few minutes later, my parents came out in their pyjamas, eyes still heavy from sleep but then they shot wide opened while I whimpered and crouched my head, my ears becoming flat.
"Jesse?" dad asked in shock. I whimpered in response and layed down on the grass with my head on my paws. They walked toward me and then sat next to me while rubbing my back. "What happened to your auburn fur Jess?" asked mom while looking at me. I mindlinked both of them and explained what happened. They both looked each other with a look that I couldn't understand.
"She's ready Riley." dad whispered. I turned sharply to my dad and barked at me. He simply said, "Get into the house Jess and shift back." Still bewildered, I walked back into the house, up to my room and did as dad said. After changing into a loose t-shirt and sweatpants, I walked back down and found my parents sitting in the living room with serious faces on their faces.
As I went in, I felt nervous about what they had to say as I took my seat on a an armchair across from the couch they sat from. "Jess, you can ask anything you want after we finish explaining. All right sweetie?" dad said softly while looking at me intently.
Losing my will to talk, I nodded my head mutely. "Before you were born, my mom and dad, your gran and granddad, explained to us that if you were a boy, you would be a black wolf and if you were a girl you wouldn't be a black wolf." dad explained then continued. "You remember the story? Of how the doctor mistaken you for a boy but when you were born you were a girl?" I nodded, not seeing where this was going.
"As soon as your mom was in her own room in the hospital, your granddad came into the room and held you in his arms. As he looked at you, he stated while rocking you in his arms as stared at me and you mom, "Danny, before you were born, you had a cousin called Susan. Before she was born, the doctor said she was a boy in the womb. Nine months later, a baby girl was born instead. Thinking nothing of it, Aunt Lily and Uncle Philip just loved her all the same. The day after she turned 16, she went outside and shifted. But then she was shocked when she looked at her reflection as her once light brown fur was now jet black!" Your mother and I looked at your granddad as I asked, "What happened to Susan?" Grandad just shrugged and said, "Nothing much except the fact that her mate rejected her." I thought that that was just what the fates had planned for Susan but here it's happening to you." Dad explained while I listened intently.
I asked with an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach, "What happened to her?" Dad shrugged and said, "No one knows. She ran away as soon as her mate rejected her and never came back. Her mate regreted his choice ever since."
My mind was reeling with this information. It's not much but what happened to her when she was 16 is happening to me now. "I need to go." then I ran out of there and went to sit by the cliff with my head pounding.

Single Mother Cultivator: Determination to deny her naïve son a terrible destiny
Lucia Martinez had to fight for every little victory in her life, especially when she was responsible for raising a teenage son by herself. But when the teen gets summoned to another world by a dysfunctional martial sect as their would-be savior, she’ll have to fight harder than ever just to get him back. Brought along to a world of Eastern fantasy, Lucia finds herself face to face with obscure magical creatures, various rich cultures, and a familiar yet unique chi-based magic system that every faction has their own way of looking at. Single Mother Cultivator is as the title suggests, a Cultivation novel. Unlike other Cultivation stories, this one focuses on multiple Asian mythologies rather than just Chinese myth, and isn’t just a generic power fantasy. It explores the very nature of strength itself, and how it could and should be used. The foundational power system is the same for both major factions, with differences in their philosophies on how to pursue it. New chapters on Mon-Wed-Fri

The Weather Vane
This is the first few chapter of my new book available on Amazon. The beginning is very light and fun, but more mature content comes later. From medieval fantasy to ultra high-tech to dinosaurs, The Weather Vane is a grippingly fast-paced adventure full of fun and excitement, literary flourish, and colorful characters. A group of ascendant masters find themselves in the afterlife and learn that they are newly recruited into the cosmic battle of good versus evil. Before they can join the fight, shipwreck strikes and they are lost in the ether. Stranded in a magical land beyond the reaches of the universe, The Weather Vane follows our crew of heroes as they try to piece things back together even while The Dark Lord’s forces march, maraud, and murder at every turn. Themes of darkness chase the overall levity of The Weather Vane which suffers not a lull as the climax begins near the beginning of the book and drives on through the greatly satisfying finish. The most epic of epics.

History's Strongest Disciple Fanfiction
I love the Manga and Anime so much that I wanted to put a bit of myself inside it, It might come as a stupid power fiction, but I did my best to make it at least a bit amusing and a bit more believable. The plot will go sidelines with the occurrences from the original story and do my best to not side track the story, but I have to warn that at some point the story goes highwire. This is the Story of Yashin, whom transfers schools at the same point as Miu, ending in the same school as Kenichi and ending falling in love with a certain someone. There's not much going on, but I think the start is rather good.
