《Just for the Summer (TodoBakuDeku)》Chapter 26

"Okay, you two can head back to my dorm if you want. I need to call my mom." Izuku said, snapping all of them out of their own thoughts.
"Is that where we're staying now?" Shoto asked him with a fond smile. He had missed staying in the dorms, any dorm really. After his father found out about them, he had been staying at 'home'.
"If you guys want?" Izuku said, more hesitantly this time. He wasn't sure where they all stood now. Their relationship had been flipped around so much in the last few weeks, it was hard to gauge.
"Of course Izu." Sho said, grabbing his hand and placing a kiss on it before he left. He waited for Katsuki to give the smaller one a hug, and then they both made their way back to Izuku's dorm.
Izuku watched them leave, a content smile on his face as he thought about how they were so close to being okay. So close, but not quite yet.
With that thought in mind, he rushed to dial his mother's number. She picked up after two rings.
"Izuku? Is everything okay? You usually call me earlier." His mother's worried voice came through from the other end of the receiver. He couldn't help but be grateful for the parent he got. One that loved him no matter what and who would always worry for his well being.
"Yeah mom, I'm fine. I'm great actually. But I have to ask you something," he asked.
Inko's anxiety spiked. What could he possibly need to ask her? Why did he sound so scared to do it?
"Anything sweet. What'd you need?" She asked gently, hoping she could ease his own anxiety, which would help hers.
"Well you know about Sho and Kacchan's parents and how unsupportive and abusive they are, right?" He started. He realized, afterwards, that he could have phrased it so much better, but it was to late for that now.

Inko took in a sharp breath at the question. She had a guess about Endeavor, so that didn't shock her, and she knew of how homophobic her old friend and her husband were, but abusive? Surely Mitsuki hadn't hurt Katsuki?
"Abusive?" She asked, hoping for clarification.
"Well I don't know about Kacchan's parents, but I do know that they sent him to a conversion camp when he was in middle school, which personally and morally, I count as abusive." Izuku explained, trying to stay calm as he talked about the terrible things his boyfriends had to go through.
Inko didn't know about the camp, but now, as she thought back, it wasn't that surprising. Mitsuki had always been against same sex couples, and having a gay son couldn't have been a happy discovery for her.
"Okay, then yes. Now I do." Inko said, getting the hint of where the conversation was heading.
"Do you think, we could maybe, let them stay with us? Just for a little bit! I mean they can always stay at the dorms during the school year and stuff, but for holidays and the summer and we're graduating this year, so then they won't have anywhere to go." Izuku explained. He hated that he had to ask this of his poor mother, but they really had no where else to go.
Inko smiled softly to herself. She did a good job at raising her son. She couldn't be more proud of who he had become. "Of course they can stay with us sweetie. There's always room here." She said.
Izuku let out a breath of relief. "Thank you mom, so much." He said happily. They had somewhere to go. They were going to be okay.
"It's no problem, really." Inko said.

"Okay, well I have to go now. Love you mom!" He said, wanting to run back to the dorms and tell Shoto and Katsuki the good news.
"Okay, I'll talk to you later then. I love you to Izuku." She said fondly as they both hung up the phone.
She tied all of her hair back into a ponytail and threw on some music. She had a guest room she needed to clean out.
Izuku pocketed his phone and broke out into a sprint, running all the way back to the dorms. He took the elevator, bouncing his foot on the ground in impatience as he waited for it to get to his floor. When it finally arrived he ran the rest of the way to his door and barged into his room, startling Shoto and Katsuki who weren't expecting his sudden appearance.
Shoto was laying on his stomach, reading a book, with Katsuki laying his head on Shoto's back, scrolling through his phone. The blonde had found Shoto's tik tok and was amusing himself with the contents.
Izuku jumped on the bed, nearly falling over from the impact. "You guys can stay with me!" He said excitedly.
Both of his boyfriends smiled at how elated he was by the prospect of them living with him. Katsuki sat up, allowing Shoto to follow suit. "Well, I guess one step of the plan's complete." Shoto said, closing his book and putting it to the side.
"Now we just have to do all the hard stuff." Katsuki said with a sigh.
He had a lot of mixed feelings about the plan. Of course, he wanted to get away from his parents and be with the two boys he loved, but it was still his parents they were talking about. The people that raised him. He still loved his parents, even if they didn't love him. It was going to be hard for him, but he knew that with the help of Izuku and Shoto, he'd be okay.
"Yup." Shoto agreed. If they even had a chance, they'd actually have to convict his father of child abuse, which was going to be extremely hard to do.
"Can we do the hard stuff tomorrow? I just want to be with you guys and pretend that none of this is happening right now." Izuku said, grabbing each of their hands.
"The hard stuff can definitely wait until tomorrow." Katsuki said.
"Okay, that hard stuff can wait until tomorrow, but my math homework can't and I'm kind of confused." Shoto admitted, making Izuku laugh and Katsuki smile.
"Math homework it is then." Izuku said with a beaming smile. A smile Shoto and Katsuki had missed dearly.

No fixed releases for now, nor any future plans. I’m just trying to enjoy my time writing it. Btw, the cover is something random I did and has absolutely nothing to do with anything.
