《Mending the Battle Wounds (TodoBakuDeku)》Chapter 8

Izuku laughed as he dragged Shoto up the stairs. He didn't want to wait for the elevator while he was running from the angry Pomeranian, so running up a flight of stairs was necessary.
Once he got to his floor, he quickly pulled Shoto into his dorm and locked the door behind them, just as Katsuki reached it. "Deku, open the damn door! You're gonna pay for that comment about my hair." He seethed. He wasn't actually planning on hurting Izuku, he wasn't about to revert to his old ways, he was probably just gonna knock him up side the head with a pillow or something.
"Nope! I don't feel like adding a new scar to the collection today." Izuku said with amused contemplation. He, like Kastsuki, knew the other wouldn't hurt him, but that almost worried him more. If he wouldn't hurt him, what was he planning on doing?
"C'mon Deku, you know I'm not gonna hurt you." Katsuki said with a huff, resting his fist against the door. "That bad." He added as an after thought.
"That makes me feel so much better." Izuku said, throwing an amused look at Todoroki, who was trying to hide his own faint smile of amusement.
"Just open the door and accept it." Katsuki urged. He had a new idea on how to get back at Izuku. Something that wouldn't cause pain, but maybe slight humiliation. He just hoped that Izuku hadn't grown out of it.
Izuku groaned loudly, loud enough so even Katsuki could hear it on the other side of the door. "Fine, but only because I know you won't drop it until I let you in." He said, unlocking the door and letting Katsuki in.
Izuku held his arms out to the side in a T shape and scrunched up his face as he braced himself. He was being overdramatic, that was kind of the whole point. "Well, just get it over with." He said.
Katsuki huffed and ruffled his hair as he walked past him into the room. "I'm not gonna hit you nerd." He said.

Izuku let out an over exaggerated sigh of relief. "Oh thank the lord! I thought my time was up." He said with a cheeky grin as he flopped onto his bed, landing on his stomach and burying his head into the blankets.
Katsuki sent a wicked smile at Shoto, who just tilted his head in confusion at the other boys plan.
Two seconds later Izuku was a giggling mess underneath Katsuki as the blond dug his fingers into his sides. "K-Kacchan! Knock it off!" He managed to get out in between wheezes.
"Not until you take it back." Katsuki said, his voice dripping with triumph.
"T-take what ba- back?!"
"Say my hair isn't shitty." Katsuki said like a five year old.
"You're hair isn't shitty!" Izuku said, still dying of laughter.
"Say it's the coolest hair ever." Katsuki pressed, having way to much fun with the squirming boy that was apparently willing to admit to whatever Katsuki wanted so he'd stop his assault.
"It's the coolest!" Izuku said. Even if he was supposed to be hating this pay back, he couldn't help the genuine happiness he felt when he was acting so normal with Katsuki. They weren't fighting tooth and nail like they had the past two years, Katsuki wasn't bullying him like in middle school. They were just... being normal friends, like when they were kids, before quirks came into the equation.
Katsuki finally backed off, sliding off Izuku and taking a seat next to him on the bed. "That's what I thought." He said smugly.
"That was a bit harsh, don't you think?" Shoto asked, still leaning against the far wall of Izuku's room, where he had watched the events unfold. It was quite amusing if he was being honest. Especially since he had never imagined Katsuki would use tickling as a form of revenge.
"Completely under handed." Katsuki agreed as Izuku tried to catch his breath and stop his lingering giggles.
"And I'm the evil one." Izuku said once he was able to talk normally and sat up.
"Conniving." Shoto said with a nod. It was hard to tell, because his face and voice were monotone, but Izuku's eyebrows shot up.

"Did you just... make a joke?" He asked slowly. The whole week he had been at the school, he had had a few conversations with Shoto, all of which didn't consist of Shoto cracking jokes.
"I wouldn't call it a joke really." Shoto said with a shrug.
"Jesus Icyhot, you act like we're contagious or something." Katsuki said, noting the distance Shoto had kept in between them.
"Oh I'm sorry Bakugou," Shoto said sarcastically as he pushed himself off the wall and went over to the bed that the other two were sitting on. He sat down next them and ruffled Katsuki's already messy blond hair, exactly what he had done to Izuku. "Better?" He asked.
"I'm not sure if this is us discovering your humor, but I love it." Izuku said, laughing at Katsuki's dumbfounded expression.
"Glad you enjoy it I guess." Shoto said. He wasn't exactly sure what to say to that.
Katsuki pushed his shoulder. "You're so god damn stiff all the time. It's like you have a permanent stick up your ass."
"Kacchan, you're being nice, remember?" Izuku said, trying to hide the laughter he was feeling once again.
Katsuki looked at him with wide eyes. "I have to be nice to half and half to?!" He asked, simply appalled by the whole idea.
"Everyone means everyone." Izuku said, not understanding where he was losing Katsuki with the concept of everyone.
Katsuki laid back on the bed with a groan. "Why do you even care how nice I am? Aren't you supposed to be a villain?" He asked.
Izuku shoved him off his bed for his remark. "Technically, I'm not anymore. And I was a villain, not an asshole." He explained, even if it didn't make much sense. He was bad, sure, but he wasn't mean.
"Because attacking a school like three times and kidnapping me was so saint like." Katsuki said with a snort.
Izuku nervously scratched the back of his neck. "Still bitter about that?" He asked, slightly worried for the answer.
"Am I bitter about the fact I was kidnapped by a rag tag group of villains and tied to a chair for house and then had to watch my mentor nearly die and then live with the guilt of knowing that because I couldn't save myself, I'm the reason he nearly died? No, not at all." Katsuki said with a shrug at the end.
Shoto sat back and crossed his legs. "This'll be fun." He said, but no one seemed to hear him.
"Clearly not." Izuku said, eyeing him.
Katsuki looked at the wall. "I'm not, so just drop it."
"Kacchan, I-"
"Deku, drop it. Serisouly." Katsuki said again, his voice getting an edge.
"But-"
"Drop it!" Katsuki snapped.
Izuku flinched at his volume increase. His yelling brought him right back to middle school and it wasn't a pretty picture that came into his mind. "I-I'm sorry." He said softly, unsure of what to do.
Katsuki sighed at the apology. "Don't be." He said before getting up and leaving the room with no further explanation.
Izuku looked over at Shoto, wondering if he'd leave to.
"Do you want me gone?" He asked, again not being sure how to read the situation.
"Do you want to be gone?" Izuku asked back.
Shoto thought about the question. "I don't know." He mumbled.
"Well that's a wonderfully vague answer." Izuku said as he stood up. He watched as he clenched his first in front of him. "Wanna know what I want to do? I want to hit something. Haven't done that in a week." He said, walking towards the door.
He turned back to look at Shoto. "Well babysitter, you coming to supervise or what?"
"Training?" Shoto asked back in slight surprise. Technically Izuku was in the hero course and had a perfect valid reason to train whenever he wanted, but he hadn't over the week.
Izuku nodded in confirmation.
"Training."
