《I Don't Like You - Beomgyu x Taehyun》X

Kai called out for his friend, not quite sure where he ran off to, "Taehyun, where are you?" Kai, knowing Taehyun would want to be as far away from them as possible, looked downstairs, and sure enough he saw the older laying on the couch in the living room, his back facing outwards. "Hey Tae," Kai tried to talk to his friend but rolled his eyes when he didn't give a response, "Alright, you asked for it." The younger pounced on top of Taehyun causing him to squeal.
Kai laughed at his reaction and Taehyun just flicked his head, "Shut up," before laughing himself.
"How are you feeling?" Kai asked, his upper half of his body still laying on Taehyun.
"How do you think?" Taehyun questioned back, groggily.
Kai whined, "It's always polite to ask."
"Mhm," Taehyun turned over, making Kai fall back on the ground. This was the first time he got to look at Taehyun's face. Tears were still flowing down his cheeks, but he didn't seem too upset.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Kai met the other's gaze.
"Well," Taehyun wiped his eyes, "what is there to talk about? Soobin's a jerk, Beomgyu's straight, and I'm an idiot."
"You're not an idiot," Kai tried to reassure him, "You were basically being threatened! You know, maybe this is a good thing. You can start to finally move on."
Taehyun raised his gaze to the ceiling, "What if I don't want to?"
Kai hesitated for a moment, "Then I take back what I just said. You really are an idiot."
"I know," Taehyun grabbed a pillow next to him and hugged it, "but I can't help it. He's just, well, perfect."
"I wouldn't say perfect," Kai muttered under his breath.
Taehyun threw his pillow at the younger, "I heard that," making them both laugh.
"Anyone who makes my best friend cry is far from Prince Charming in my eyes," Kai sat up on the couch next to Taehyun and wrapped his arm around him.
"You're probably right," Taehyun admitted, grabbing Kai's hand, "I don't know what I'd do without you."
Kai rolled his eyes, "Don't be so dramatic. It's my job to keep you happy."
"Likewise," Taehyun smiled at him, letting go of his hand, "That's why I need you to do me a favor."
Kai groaned, "What is it this time?"
"Nevermind, I guess you don't want your gift," Taehyun snickered.
"Gift?" the younger's eyes lit up.
Taehyun nodded his head, "It's in my bag. That's why I need you to go upstairs and get it for me."
Kai was about to run upstairs, but stopped himself and shook his head, "It's not about me right now, that can wait."
"But seeing you happy makes me happy. If you don't I'll cry even more," Taehyun fake cried, but the real tears weren't making the situation any better.
"Fine," Kai gave in, "I'll be right back, don't go anywhere," he demanded, giving the older a hug before running upstairs.

Entering his room, Kai saw that Yeonjun was scolding Soobin, while Beomgyu just sat on the floor staring blankly at the wall.
"Where's Taehyun?" Beomgyu looked up at Kai.
"Downstairs," the black haired boy answered, picking up Taehyun's bag.

"Is he leaving?" Beomgyu asked, a hint of panic in his voice.
Kai rolled his eyes, "No, and stop acting like you care about him."
"But I do care about him," Beomgyu replied quietly.
Kai ignored him and turned his attention to Soobin, "And you, what is wrong with you? Why do you think that was ok?"
Soobin shrugged, "I was curious of what he would say and if he did lie I wasn't actually going to make him drink it."
"Yeah ok," Kai scoffed.
"Calm down Kai," Yeonjun tried to stop things before they got out of hand, "Soobin didn't mean any harm. We were all caught up in the moment and-"
"Are you seriously defending him now?" Kai's words laced with repulse.
"No," Yeonjun gasped, "I'm trying to-"
"Nope, I don't wanna hear it," Kai interrupted him once again, plugging his ears.
Yeonjun furrowed his brows, "I need you to-" The younger imitated a buzzer sound, not wanting to listen to what the elder had to say. Yeonjun was started to get irritated, "Kai I-" Still refusing to listen Kai imitated the noise again. Yeonjun gave up and rubbed his temples.
After making sure Yeonjun stayed quiet Kai placed his hands back at his sides, "Now that we've established all three of you are coldhearted people, I'll be on my way."
"Wait," Beomgyu stood up, "I'm coming with you."
Kai looked at him, a nervous smile on his face, "No you are not."
"Please," the golden brown haired boy pleaded, "I need to talk to him"
"Why?" Kai sighed, "So you can go into more detail of why you rejected him? No way."
"It's important," Beomgyu begged, "I feel awful and I want to fix it."
"You should feel awful but don't you understand that you coming down right now is only going to make things worse? I'm not trying to be mean to any of you but my best friend is hurting and it's all you guys's fault," Kai looked around the room, "Why can't you understand that? I want to help him and you trying to talk to him will only make him more upset. So please hear me out when I say there's no way you're going down there. I'll do everything I can to stop you if you try."
Beomgyu hesitated for a second, "But what if I-"
"Do you not listen to anything anyone tells you?" Kai snapped, "This isn't Beomgyu's world, not everything goes your way! Get out of your head for once you aren't always going to be right! He needs time and space right now, so if you really care about him like you say you do then you need to respect that."
Beomgyu gulped and tried to wipe away his tears before they traveled down his face, "I'm sorry."
"Don't start crying too," Kai's tone softened, pulling the older into a hug, "I'm if I was too harsh and I want to apologize for being rude to you all day. It's just, I don't know, we can talk about this later. Just please don't cry." Beomgyu pulled away and nodded rubbing his cheeks. Kai was about to leave when he heard Soobin's voice call his name.
"What is it?" Kai sighed, turning to face him.

"Can you tell Taehyun that I'm sorry," the leader was fiddling with the sleeves of his sweater, "This is all my fault and I didn't mean for things to go this far."
"It's good that you're sorry," Kai smiled at him, "but that's something he needs to hear from you once he's feeling confident enough to come back up here."
"I understand," Soobin looked up at him and smiled back. Satisified with Soobin's sudden change of heart, Kai was finally able to leave the room.
"Are you alright?" Yeonjun asked after Kai closed the door behind him.
It took Beomgyu a second to realize Yeonjun was talking to him, "Oh, yeah sorry."
"Why are you upset?" Soobin questioned him.
Beomgyu thought about it for a minute before replying, "I-I don't know."
"You like Taehyun, don't you?" Yeonjun guessed, causing both Beomgyu and Soobin to gasp.
"I don't like-I mean," Beomgyu struggled to find the right words, "I don't think I am-ugh. Why would you think that?"
"Beomgyu I'm going to ask you again," Yeonjun breathed, "Do you actually like Taehyun?" The golden brown haired boy stayed silent. "Well," Yeonjun kept pushing him.
"I," Beomgyu sighed, "I think I do, but I never liked boys before this rumor started, and I'm trying to figure out what's going on with myself first. It just feels weird."
"What's weird about it? Love is love, trivial things like gender shouldn't matter," Yeonjun placed a hand under Soobin's chin and kissed his cheek, a bit of pink growing on both of their faces, "You just have to go for it and try it out. Trust your feelings, they're there for a reason."
"Y-you're right," Beomgyu bit his lip.
"I know I am," a sly smile formed on the older's face.
"Are you alright Soobin?" Beomgyu turned his attention to the tall boy who seemed to have something on his mind.
Soobin locked eyes with the younger, "Yeah it's just, umm," he closed eyes, not having the courage to say what he wanted to say and hung his head, "It's nothing."
"Soobin," Yeonjun placed a hand on the younger's leg, "talk to us."
Soobin looked up at him and felt the heat creep on his cheeks, "Seriously it's nothing," he looked back at Beomgyu, "During our concert you should flirt with Taehyun instead. Maybe it'll help you feel more open about expressing your feelings around him."
"Thanks," Beomgyu let out an involuntarily sigh of relief, "I'll try."
"So what now?" Yeonjun asked.
"What are you talking about?" Beomgyu tilted his head.
Yeonjun shrugged his shoulders, "What are you gonna do now?"
"I wanna talk to him and I wanna know if he's doing ok," Beomgyu admitted, "but just like Kai said, he probably wants some space."
"Well I don't recommend talking to him yet," Yeonjun hummed, "but you can still go see how he's doing." Yeonjun and Soobin looked at eachother while Beomgyu stared at them confused.
"Yeah, just sneak down there and take a peek. As long as you're cautious they will never know you were there," Soobin explained.
"Isn't that spying?" Beomgyu furrowed his brows.
"Yeah, and?" Soobin responded.
"Isn't that bad?" Beomgyu pointed out.
"Not if you're doing it for a good reason," Soobin answered.
Beomgyu thought about the idea, "I won't be doing any real harm by just listening, right?" They both nodded and Beomgyu gave in, "Alright I'll do it, but not for any longer than five minutes."
-
Beomgyu walked down the hallway and stared at the staircase. He knew they were downstairs, but wasn't sure exactly where. They could be standing right next to the wall the hid the stairs, waiting for him to come down. That's it, the wall! He'll just crawl down the stairs and listen for their voices. If they're nearby he'll hear them. He made his way down the stairs, very slowly, moving one hand and one foot at a time. He could make out two voices talking and once he reached the middle of the stairs he stopped, being able to hear exactly what they were saying.
"I just want to squeeze it, and hold it, and never let go of it!" Kai squealed.
"I knew you'd love it," Taehyun laughed. Beomgyu thought Taehyun had the cutest laugh. "What are you going to name him?"
"Hmmm" Kai paused, "How about Mr. Swimmington."
Taehyun giggled, "Of course you would come up with a name like that."
"I love you," the younger gushed. Beomgyu sucked in air and held his breath. He doesn't really mean that.
Taehyun sang, "I love you too."
"Of course, but no hom-" Beomgyu was running out of breath and let out a loud cough. "Who's there?" Kai yelled.
Beomgyu's eyes widened, "You gotta be kidding me."
"Beomgyu?" Kai growled. Beomgyu stood up only allowing his face to be seen. "Why are you so annoying?"
"Well you see," Beomgyu nervously giggled, "I was looking for the bathroom, and it's been so long since I've been to your house, and I got lost."
The youngest raised an eyebrow, "So you thought it would be in the middle of the staircase?"
"Yes- wait no," Beomgyu shook his head, "I was coming to look downstairs and I heard you guys talking. I didn't want you to be mad at me, so I tried sneak by without getting noticed."
"You're excuses are terrible," the black haired boy rolled his eyes.
"At least he's not taking his pet sister out for dinner," Taehyun snickered.
"Hey!" he gasped, "It worked didn't it?" Taehyun just smiled and nodded. "Anyways, since this moron interrupted us," Kai glared at Beomgyu, who just stood there with a cheeky smile, "are you feeling comfortble enough to go back upstairs?"
"Yeah of course," Taehyun stood up, "Let's go."
"Great," Kai repeated the older's actions, "I can't wait to get up there and beat the heck out of Beomgyu." Kai looked up and noticed Beomgyu had already ran back upstairs and smiled proudly at himself, "Coward."
-
"I'm sorry everyone for creating a scene," Taehyun apologized as soon as he entered the room.
"You have nothing to apologize for," Yeonjun comforted him before gesturing to Soobin, "but someone here does."
"Yeah," Soobin rubbed the back of his neck, "I'm really sorry Taehyun. I wasn't thinking straight and I didn't mean for things to turn out this way."
"Do you actually mean it this time?" the younger eyed him suspiciously.
"Of course I do!" Soobin met Taehyun's gaze.
"It's fine," Taehyun forgave him, "but you need to stop being a jerk, seriously."
"Yeah I know," he weakly smiled.
"Great!" Yeonjun grinned, feeling the tension leave the air, "Now let's dance!"

Fragments from the Wildlands
“Your first death is always the hardest.” Miguela was the third-born child of a well-off merchant family and knew from around the time she could speak that her life’s path was already decided. She was to become an Orator, as was Xandran tradition. However, Miguela had an affinity with the magikal arts and somehow found herself studying at the Academy. She did just enough to keep up with her studies but never found the motivation to apply herself and “reach her potential,” as her instructors often said. It was not that Miguela was uninterested in the arts. Rather, she knew her time at the Academy ultimately did not matter. Whenever Miguela returned home, she would become an Orator, and that would be that. Or so she believed until, one day, an opportunity appeared that would change her life. Miguela was offered the chance to join a research team tasked with a mission of the utmost importance to the future of the Five Kingdoms. She could not turn down the prospect of regaining control of her life and finally finding a purpose for herself. Of course, Miguela might soon discover that offers that appear too good to be true are usually fraught with lies. Welcome to Five Kingdoms of Cordizal! Question: What is the Five Kingdoms of Cordizal? I often get asked this type of question about my stories by friends, bloggers, and potential readers. The Five Kingdoms of Cordizal is a high-fantasy epic universe that is the setting for most of my stories. The foundation of the universe is its multicultural, multiracial setting with several sentient races attempting to carve their legacy and survive. The world is fully fleshed out and vibrant with a rich and mysterious history not based on Tolkien mythology. This brings me to magic. To me, magic is an essential part of the fantasy genre, so, of course, there is magic in the Five Kingdoms universe. However, one critical part of the Five Kingdoms universe is that magic is an abundant commodity that is a part of everyday life and not some plot device used to drive the story. In short, the Five Kingdoms universe is the setting of epic fantasy stories with deep characters and world-building. I try to tell as many different types of stories as possible in the universe, and hopefully, you can find something for you in it.
