"Alright River, you want some spaghetti?" I asked from the kitchen as she was playing with a few toys in the living room.
She came running over and climbed onto one of the stools. After I cut up the noodles a little bit, I slid the bowl over to her. She grabbed a fork and began to turn it around the noodles.
She immediately got a bunch of spaghetti sauce around her lips, which made me chuckle. I, too ate some of the noodles from my own bowl.
I heard the garage door open and was a little confused. It was a little before 5pm, which is a little early for Ethan to be home, but who else would it be.
I waited for the door to open and in walked Ethan. He placed his keys down on the table and tossed his jacket on the top of the couch.
"What're you doing here?" I asked and walked over to him.
He put his arms around me and kissed my nose. "Wanted to spend time with my two favorite ladies." He walked over to River and kissed her head.
I lightly smiled and crossed my arms as I saw him sit down next to her. It made my heart warm up when I saw how Ethan reacted with little kids.
I walked back over to island and finished eating my spaghetti.
"What did you two do today?" He asked us. River just smiled and continued to eat her food, like she was a little nervous.
"We played with some toys and we did some laundry, very fun." I smiled at River. "Isn't that right?"
"Yeah, we also talked about mommy's belly." She jumped a little.
My smile completely faded. For all we know this could be a false rumor, we're basing our knowledge off of a little girl. I just didn't want anyone else to know.

Ethan made eye contact with me and his jaw was dropped a little bit.
"But we aren't telling daddy so shh." She turned to him and shushed him.
"Your mommy and daddy are having another baby?" Ethan sat up and smiled at me. Obviously he didn't know the possible truth.
"Ethan." I said with no smile. He looked to me and looked confused. "A word?" I walked towards the front door. He followed until we were far enough from River.
"Don't worry, we'll get a baby soon." He put his hand on my arm.
"What?" I shook my head confused.
"I know they're having another kid but-"
"No, Ethan, that's not it." I cut him off. "I don't think it's Grayson's."
"What?"
"Vivian-I think she cheated on him."
"That doesn't make sense, Jordyn. He just doesn't know about it, she hasn't told him yet."
"Ethan, I'm serious about this." I grabbed his hand. "You didn't hear the way she talked about it, I seriously think Vivian did some bad shit."
"She wouldn't do that." He shook his head.
"You don't know that. What if she did? Do we tell him or just wait until she has the baby?"
"We don't even know if she did cheat, babe." He lightly smiled to get me out of this crazy spiral. "We shouldn't assume these things about her."
I looked down at the ground and nodded. "You're right. Sorry."
We both walked over to River again and she had no idea that we even left. She was just about done with her dinner though.
It was still in my mind about Vivian. That crazy thought was never going to leave, no matter how much Ethan tried to deny it.
"Should we watch TV?" Ethan asked River and she immediately ran over to the living room. Ethan looked up at me as I smiled.

He switched the TV to the kids channel and she was already interested. I walked into the kitchen to clean up the dishes since I had some time.
I turned back around to the others and smiled when I saw River sitting in Ethan's lap. I grabbed a hand towel and dried my hands off.
My attention was switched from the joy when a few knocks hit the front door. Ethan turned his head over his shoulder.
"I'll get it." I walked towards the door and opened it to reveal Grayson.
"Hi." He smiled.
"Hey, come in." I opened the door more and he walked in towards the living room.
"How was she?" He asked.
"She was perfect." We reached the living room and River saw her dad.
"Daddy!!" She ran up to Grayson and wrapped her arms around his legs.
"Hi, honey." He smiled. "Were you good for uncle Ethan and aunt Jordyn?" He asked and she nodded. "Good." He put his hand on her head.
Ethan stood up off of the couch and walked over to me. He put his arm around my shoulder.
"Hey," Grayson knelt down to her. "Why don't you go pick up your toys and put them back in your bag?" She nodded her head and ran over to the living room.
Grayson stood back up and let out a sigh.
"Thanks again for taking care of her. It's been a little chaotic at home." He rubbed his forehead.
I looked up to Ethan and he did the exact same thing to me.
"Vivian's been having a lot of long nights at work, so it's been just me taking care of her in the evening and at night."
"Um..." I started to say. "How long as this been going on for?"
"Two to three months probably." He shrugged his shoulders and River came right back to him. "Got everything packed?" He looked down at her and she nodded.
"I'll walk you out." Ethan said and walked them both towards the front door.
I stood in the same spot, in shock.
"We'll see you soon." Ethan said after saying the last goodbye's to his brother. He closed the front door and walked over to me.
"Ethan." I said and turned to him. "Two to three months... She has to be pregnant."
"We don't know that." He shook his head and held my arms.
"Why else would Vivian say that it was a mistake and Grayson can't ever know about it?"
"She's probably just surprising him." He shrugged his shoulders
"With someone else's baby? Yeah that's gonna get him good."
"Jordyn, come on." He smiled and tugged on my hands. "Vivian isn't like that, she wouldn't do that to Grayson."
"You don't know that." I groaned. "I just don't want Grayson to get hurt again." I swung our hands back and forth.
"Come here." Ethan smiled and pulled into his chest and swayed side to side. "Grayson's a big boy, he can take care of himself."
I lightly grinned. "I can't help but worry." I put my chin on his chest and looked up at him.
"I know. That's your biggest issue." He joked and squeezed me tighter. "Just don't worry about it too much, alright? Just think about some baby names for our future one." He pulled away and smiled.
My eyes followed him and my lips turned into a smile.

Dream Dungeon
Welcome to the dream dungeon. Ely suddenly finds himself in a mysterious dungeon accessed only through sleeping. Many people are drawn into this dream world, confused and mystified. Those in this dungeon must kill monsters to survive; maybe even each other. Join Ely as he struggles to survive a ruthless environment. What replaces his rest is untold trauma. What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
