four months later
"Get these damn babies out of me!" Jordyn yelled as she was walking from the kitchen to the living room. "I can barely walk two feet!"
"But you still look great." I kissed her forehead and then sat down next to her.
"Shut up." She muttered, annoyed that she still had a big belly. "I'm fat as fuck." She threw her head back on the couch.
"No, you're not." I leaned over and placed my hand on her belly.
"Fu-" She leaned forward and winced in pain. I placed my hand on her back as she was having her contraction. "I swear to God, if these babies don't come out soon-" She punched the couch.
"They'll come soon."
"They were suppose to come out a week ago." She grew more mad. "I'll pull them out if I have to."
"Yeah, we're not doing that." I lightly laughed and stood up. I know it's really not funny when she's this mad, but c'mon...
She let out a large sigh, letting me know that the contraction was over. She leaned back on the couch and propped her legs up on it as well.
"Are you okay if I go shower real quick?" I place my hand on her shoulder and she leaned back to look at me.
"It's okay." She smiled. "You stink anyway." She kissed my hand and I laughed.
I began to walk up the stairs and into our bedroom. I stepped into the bathroom and began to take off my shirt and other clothes.
It's been pretty quiet around here ever since Grayson and River were able to move back into their house. Vivian had moved in with her baby daddy along with their new baby. None of us knew the name, we were just aware that she had it.

It was a pretty shitty move for her to do that to Grayson and River. What kind of mother leaves their child? It's just complete bullshit.
Grayson's been telling us that he's been doing really good, though. He's actually happy that Vivian's gone. He's glad that there isn't some unresolved tension in the air. He's starting fresh and he's happy about it.
They've come over a couple of times over the past few months, but they've been busy. Grayson has work everyday and now he has to work twice as hard to keep everything up financially.
We've offered to help by taking care of River while he's at work, but he continues to decline since we have two babies right around the corner, which is absolutely MADNESS!
I had turned the water on warm and hopped in. I began to put some shampoo and conditioner in my hair to get all of the dirt out.
Our babies were suppose to come out a week ago, but they clearly want to stay with Jordyn. It's making her go absolutely insane, she's sick of the pain. I just feel bad, I can't do anything about it.
I began to wash the soap out of my hair and began to clean my body. It's hot in California so I just feel really gross all of the time.
Everything for the babies was set. The nursery is ready, the toys are ready, they clothes are ready. Everything is in its place.
We decided for when they're little babies, we're going to have them in the same room so it's easier for us. Once they get older, into their toddler years, we're going to let them have their own rooms.
I just needed a quick shower so after about seven minutes, I turned the water off and began to dry myself off with a grey towel.

I walked out of the bathroom with the towel around my waist. I walked towards our closet, but stopped by the cracked open door.
"Jordyn, you doing okay?" I yelled and heard no response. She probably fell asleep or she's watching something on the TV and can't hear me.
I shrugged my shoulders and walked into the closet. Jordyn currently hates to leave the house when she's this pregnant, so I offered to go grab us some dinner.
I pulled up some black jeans and just threw a plain white t-shirt over my chest. I grabbed my phone that I tossed on the bed earlier and headed down the stairs.
I looked in the living room and Jordyn wasn't in there anymore. On the floor I say pillows on the floor, the blankets were all messed up and the cushions weren't pushed into the couch all the way.
"Jordyn?" I yelled through the house and didn't hear a response.
I walked towards the front of the house to see if she maybe went for a walk and took her shoes or something, but they were still here. The door was wide open though.
My heart started to beat faster, Jordyn just wouldn't leave with no shoes and leave the door completely open while I'm taking a shower. She doesn't even like to go outside right now.
I closed the door and hurried back into the kitchen to see if she left me a note or something. Or even a text message.
Right on the corner of the kitchen island, there laid a piece of white paper with some black ink on it. I picked it up and began to read it with a heart that was about to pound out of my chest.
Hello, Ethan..
Miss me?
- Josie
"Fuck." I said under my breath. I tossed the paper down on the counter top again. I began to pace around the room, not knowing what to do in this situation, again.
I pulled out my phone as my hands were shaking like crazy. I tapped Jordyn's name and held it up to my ear.
"Ah, Ethan." I never thought I'd have to hear that voice ever again.
"Let her go, Josie." My voice was trembling.
"Now why would I do that."
"Please, she has nothing to do with this. She's carrying our children, please don't hurt her." I begged.
"Babies, huh?"
"Josie, I'm begging you, please don't hurt them."
"Well, this just changes everything Ethan. I'll talk soon." She hung up the phone. I brought it down from my ear.
"Shit." I whispered and ran to my car keys.
I don't know where I was about to go, but knowing that my wife and my future children are in danger does not sit well with me.
I have to do something. Fast.

Alternative Reality Vol. 1
Note: Sadly, all things must come to an end and Volume 1 has been officially completed. Since I have now published the whole volume on amazon and enrolled it into KDP select, I can no longer keep the book uploaded on other platforms as per their requirements. Apologies for the inconvenience. If, by any chance, you'd like to support me there, you can find the book here: https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07MRDFR7V What do you do when life‘s got you hunched on the ground, crying and screaming for your mother? When negativity and black humor is the only entertainment you‘re getting? You run away to a different world, of course! And it just so happened that one such world was available and open for the downtrodden and distraught. Alternative Reality - a virtual reality platform with a suspiciously unoriginal name, already established as the most life-like experience one could spend their time on and Luke had plenty of time to spare. Now? He’s more than just Luke, the social outcast. Now, he’s also Wail - a lunatic magician who plays with fire without the mental aptitude or sense of responsibility necessary to safely handle it. Add in a petty and spiteful character and the conditions for mayhem are fully satisfied. Join now and witness his adventures, while the world around burns with more than a bit of fault falling upon his downward sloping shoulders. Disclaimer! The book contains morally ambiguous choices, violence, arson, vandalism, unnecessarily satirical portrayal of religious zealotry, profanity, background forced labor that looms dangerously close to slavery and much, much more.

The Fracture
It was a normal day for the inhabitants of ERT-5901, more commonly known by the populace as Earth. A beautiful planet with lush resources and fertile land, well at one point anyways. Children were born, the elderly died, and Man was as corrupt as ever. But hey, what can you do about that? Can’t change human nature… But that's not the point. Basically the planet was peaceful, for the most part. Certainly they were better off than the species on FTL-3470… We don’t talk about them. Better to leave that book unopened. Anyways, that was all until January 5th of the year 2025. When the sky broke. Fractured. Stunning ocean blue cracks were spotted in the sky all over the planet. A spiders web of cracks and crevices littered the blue skies, tearing all that global peace to shreds. All while Wyatt Walker, a sad example of a human being, was black out drunk in a bar somewhere in LA. This is a post-apocalyptic, portal isekai, high fantasy kind of story set on our very own green Earth! The world has fractured, broken. The inhabitants of ERT-5901 are in for quite the quick and dramatic change in their way of life. Murder, theft, and death have become the norm. Survival of the fittest to the extreme. If you can’t keep up, then good luck playing the game. Hello, Kaiser here! I am the author of this lovely story and I would just like to put a few disclaimers down here. First, English is, in fact, my first language. This by no means I will have perfect grammar and there are bound to be spelling mistakes (please forgive me) and places where I accidentally put plot holes. If you find anything, I would appreciate it if you could let me know so I can fix / change it. I also welcome any constructive criticism or opinions you might have about the story (doesn’t always mean I will change something). Second, I am by no means a professional writer here. Just a confused student who wanted to write something. So, uh, here's my story? Third, if you can’t handle any of the following I recommend you find a different story as I will by no means change any of these topics. [Gore, Profanity, Twisted themes, Dark scenes, and Death] If you’re a sensitive person or a queasy person I would highly recommend a different story. Fourth, I would like to write with freedom so I will by no means be lenient with my writing. I intend to write without mercy. Characters will die, bad things will happen, blood will be spilled, and humans will continue to be humans. I would like to write things as realistically as possible while still having that dash of fantasy. Not everything will be all dark and gloom, there will be happy and funny moments mixed! (Hopefully, not a lot of edge) Enjoy! ッ
