"I won't ask what happened, but I want to make sure you're okay."
"I mean no, but I can't do anything about it and I feel like I don't half of what's going on."
"What do you mean?" He shook his head confused.
I let out a sigh. "They told us that he has a lung issue and basically he has less than twenty percent of surviving."
"I'm sure he's going to be okay. And I know you probably don't believe me, but he's a fighter. You and Ethan are his parents." He lightly smiled. "I don't know a more stronger couple than that." He rubbed my arm. "I know he's going to be just fine."
"Thanks." I looked down at my hands in my lap. "I think I just need to cuddle my little one." I looked to the group that surrounded my girl.
Grayson called them over and Riley handed me Xela.
"Hi, babygirl." I smiled big and she started to giggle.
Ethan walked back in the room with River and Dre who had candy bars in their hands. He made eye contact with me and began to walk to my side of the bed.
He leaned down and kissed my forehead while lightly placing his hand on Xela's head.
"Doing okay?" He whispered to me and I nodded my head lightly. He leaned back over to me again and whispered in my ear. "If you want everyone out just say the word." He pulled back and smiled.
"I'm overwhelmed." I said quietly, but felt bad immediately afterwards. He nodded and turned to everyone.
"Xela's gotta get some food, so for right now can I get everyone out of the room?" He asked and everyone nodded. "We really appreciate you guys coming in."

Lisa, Sean, Riley, Matt, Dre and River all waved goodbye to us. Grayson followed them, but I called for him.
"Grayson. You can stay." I lightly smiled.
"Are you sure?" He was standing in the doorway. I nodded.
"You don't make my head want to explode." I joked while running my finger over Xela's cheek.
He chuckled lightly and closed the door. He walked over to the chair he was sitting in before.
They both pulled up a chair to each side of the bed. It was silent for a few moments, which was kind of nice.
"I'm sorry." Ethan said while running his hands over his face. I looked at him confused. "But I just can't keep silent about Jace."
I looked down at Xela to try and avoid the tears that I felt coming on.
"I know." I mumbled.
"No matter what happens," Grayson started to say. "You guys are going to get through it, you always do."
"This is different." Ethan looked up to him.
"Of course it's different. It's something crazy different. You guys have literally been through so much. From Jordyn being sent to a group home way back then, from her being kidnapped and shot by Josie, to Jordyn having an unfortunate miscarriage and being kidnapped by Josie again. None of those things are easy, but you guys did it."
I looked over at Ethan and he lightly smiled.
"And you guys make really cute babies." He looked at Xela.
"You're sweet, Grayson." I looked over to him.
"Everything is going to work out okay and if it doesn't, you'll be okay. You'll make it work."
He really did reassure the both of us, or at least me. I looked over to Ethan and he was looking at his hands that was rested on the bed in front of him.

"Do you mind walking her around for a little bit?" I asked Grayson and he nodded. He gently rested Xela in his arms and walked out of our room. He closed the door behind him.
"Come sit up here." I hit the bed after crossing my legs. He did as I asked and sat there with his legs hanging off of the edge. "It's finally my time, you know?"
He looked over at me confused with the smallest smile on.
"It's my time, after all of these years of you cheering me up, I finally get to cheer you up." I lightly pushed him.
"Not funny." He lightly joked. "This isn't funny." He got serious. "I was told I was going to have a boy and a girl, two babies and now we might go home with one. It hurts, Jordyn."
"I know it does." I grabbed his hand. "I'm freaking out. I'm so nervous that he won't make it, Ethan, but his Daddy fights for what he loves. I can guarantee that Jace is just like his Daddy."
"You're not nearly as good as me, but you did make me feel a little bit better."
"Oh, shut up." I nudged him and he leaned over to me to leave a kiss on my lips.
I pulled away very gently, but still kept his face close.
"We have a kid." I chuckled. "How do we finally have a little one?"
"Two. We're gonna take two little ones home."
