the punishment was the worst one yet.

mr gordon didn't even bother helping me with math tonight. he just instantly started the punishment, which meant that it lasted for 4 hours.

it didn't get any better either when i told him that i might not need him to help me anymore because i'd found someone else who was willing to help.

he wouldn't allow it.

by the time i was allowed to leave, i was aching, exhausted, and on the verge of breaking down, but i still only wanted to go to the library.

once i arrived, i instantly flopped onto my beanbag without even saying hello to janet.

"oh evelyn, hard day at school?" she questioned, sorting out a pile of non-fiction books.

i just nodded.

"where's remus?" i asked, realising that the hazel eyed boy was nowhere to be seen.

"he popped by this morning to tell me that he'd be a bit later than he usually is" she replied, "said it was because of that greasy haired guy that came in here yesterday"

she scrunched her nose up at the thought of severus and i had to try to suppress my laughter.

about an hour later, remus finally walked through the door.

and god i really missed him. i wasn't even sure why i felt this way.

"what happened with severus?" i asked him, as soon as he had found a comfortable position in his armchair.

"he attacked my friend james" he told me, "james is basically in love with lily and straight up refused to stay away from her, so snape attacked"

"what happened then?"

"we had to spend the whole day explaining to our teacher miss mcgonagall that it was snape's fault"

it only then hit me that remus goes to a different school. maybe one day i can move to his and never have to see mr gordon again.

"and did she believe you?"

"of course she did" he laughed, "we're her favourite students"

hearing his adorable laugh after a rough day made me feel things that i'd never felt before.

the way his nose crinkled and his eyes lit up when he laughed gave me a fluttering feeling in my stomach.

the knitted sweaters he wears makes me want to snuggle right into him.

the way he makes me feel safe and comforted is all i've ever wanted in someone.

and i think i'm falling in love with remus lupin.
